Multimedia applications invariably require guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) and resource reservation. These requirements have raised numerous challenging technical issues for routing in MANETS. We have proposed a hybrid Differentiated Services Architecture (HDSA) to provide QoS provisioning in dynamic topology based MANET. Our proposed HDSA introduces routing metrics such as available bandwidth within each DiffServ class and delay that are more appropriate for QoS routing rather than the hop distance. In order to guarantee QoS we have introduced semi state-full features to differentiated services architecture along with reduced routing packet propagation overhead. The performance of our distributed algorithm is investigated by examples and simulation in both static and dynamic networks. The gain achieved by HDSA is an important achievement in wireless mobile networks. ©2009 IEEE.

The paper presents an investigation into methods for maximizing the spectral Efficiency of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems. As part of this, an investigation of detrimental effects on OFDM is presented, the use of pilots between carriers, Clipping Distortion, Additive Complex Noise (ACN) on modulation QPSK rate, on multi path Synchronization error, using estimation results. Estimation is performed using the known pilot's symbols and impulse response of pilots symbols at receiver which is used to find the impulse response of the channel by using linear interpolation. Estimation result will be applied to Zero Forcing algorithms which reduces the multipath effect. Impulse response of channel helps to find out the number of path of each symbol and reduces the Bit error rate of output response. Finally the received signal has passed through Euclidean algorithm which also reduce the Bit Error Rate.

This paper present an investigation into the effect on the performance of an optical network based on OADM by changing different filters at the receiver side. We calculate the average BER and with the help of eye diagrams, analyze the response of the filter and compare the results with ideal filter in OADM based environment. With the help of OADM we can use the network resources efficiently and provide protection to network and routing features for add and drop channel. For this we design a OADM based ring network of four nodes transmitting at 10 Gbps connected with four unidirectional non linear single mode fiber span of 10 Km.

WiMAX is the latest technology that has promised to offer broadband wireless access over long distance. The throughput of wireless communication such as WIMAX depends on number of parameters. These parameters include: packet size, transmission rate, signal to noise ratio, modulation techniques and channel conditions. All these variables are discussed using simulation, certain graphs have obtain optimum values. The main focus is a mathematical technique for determining the optimum transmission rate and packet size as a function of other variables. The results suggest that the key to maximize throughput rate is maintaining the signal-to-noise ratio to an optimum level determine by the nature of transmission device and channel.

This research work is based on simple concepts on elementary geometry, driven by a pattern in numbers. The simplicity defies the diversity, it is through a combination of fixed, almost rigid and constant symmetry with limited, asymmetric variables. From the original computer generated imagery of DNA by the pioneering Robert Langridge over 20 years ago, we analyzed and subsequently deconstructed the image pattern into a number of geometric forms.. The DNA double helix molecule accomplishes such feats by means of the very same self-recognizing. The series of concentric double pentagons which inform the composite axial view of the DNA double helix are shown to contain a vast self-replication and growth potential built into the molecule itself. Mathematicians, artists, designers and engineers have known for centuries astonishing, almost magical, patterns in prime and geometric series, magic squares, and the special sequences and proportions such as Pascal's Triangle, the Golden Mean, the Fibonacci and Padovan series, to name a few. Incorporating, combining and ultimately exceeding much of the same number magic, the DNA double helix also exhibits a surprising.

With the help of OADM network resources are efficiently used, provide protection to network and routing features for add and drop channel. For analyzing of a OADM based network four nodes have been designed transmitting at 10 Gbps data rate connected with four fiber span of 10 Km long of type non linear single mode fiber with average power per channel is -9 dBm.

KESC is an electrical utility company involved in Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Energy in Karachi, Pakistan. The total number of consumers of KESC to date is around 2.0 million. KESC started installing OPGW for providing data to the SCADA system in 1998 and till year 20 6 around 151 km OPGW is installed. These OPGW cables connect the SCADA system to 8 power generating stations including the KESC generation stations and 56 grid stations of IPPs. In the course of testing and monitoring the installed OPGW, it was revealed that the OPGW installed at various transmission lines have been damaged. On close inspection of the samples taken from the damaged OPGW, it is found that the outer OPGW layer was almost melted and strings were broken. The optical fiber cable inside OPGW was also tested with the OTDR and it was also found broken. Therefore, it is concluded that the outer OPGW layer could not stand the voltage introduced due to the lighting strokes. In addition, the distance between the hanging OPGW was not enough to withstand the million of volts and a flash occur between OPGW. In this paper, the selection criteria of OPGW cables based on engineering specification are discussed. This paper also discusses the methods and standardized test procedures for OPGW cables. Finally, the replacement strategy of the conventional ground wire by OPGW is presented.

Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld (DVB-H) is based on the earlier standard DVB-T, which is used for Terrestrial TV broadcasting. This new standard brings features that make it possible to receive digital video broadcast of DVD quality video and sound in handheld devices, it also offers reliable high data rate reception for mobile & battery powered devices, The paper discusses and compares the key technology elements 4K and 2K modes, in-depth interleavers, time slicing and Multi Protocol Encapsulation-Forward error correction (MPE-FEC).In addition, extensive range of SER performance results on software based simulations is provided. The result suggest that by using an erasure decoding method with the Reed-Solomon code & cyclic redundancy check error detection as the link layer Forward error correction , the strength of the signal is much higher while error detection & correction becomes doubles. © 2008 IEEE.

This paper is in continuation to the paper [1] that has discussed the case study in very detail;now this paper is highlighting the statistical procedures to be used for accessing the model accuracy level. This research study will be employed as guidance for software houses registered with Pakistan software Export Body. The project under demonstration is now a complete ERP system a real life project that has been assigned by PSEB to a newly established company as a part of its "Industrial Automation Program", whose single module was discussed in earlier version of this paper. It highlights two aspects: first, list of estimation readings following the procedures as discussed in previous version of this paper;and second, review and calculations of statistical validation procedures with the need for using which procedure in what circumstances. In lasts the interpretation of result for making the right selection. The estimation model under observation is again COCOMO that satisfies the criteria for model evaluation and supports all possible effort multipliers for justifying software development effort cost under any organizational circumstances and also supports their calibration.
