The increasing prevalence of Extended Reality (XR) and head-mounted displays (HMDs), alongside rapid advancements in 3D reality capture technology, unlocks a new paradigm for capturing and reliving past memories/experiences through XR. Current methods for accessing and interacting with these "XR Memories" still lack the ability to fully leverage the range of capabilities afforded by XR and HMDs. We introduce TangibleMoments, a novel framework that enables users to embed XR memories onto physical objects, transforming those objects into "Moments"—tangible user interfaces for accessing and interacting with XR memories. We describe and illustrate five interaction methods as part of this framework: Creating Moments, Recalling Moments, Sharing Moments, Copying Moments, and Clearing Moments. We showcase an initial prototype and discuss possible extensions.

Online recommendation systems have gained prominence. The online recommendation systems provide a better and faster way to choose Tour Spots for traveling and transactions. Recommender systems are powerful emerging technologies that help consumers to find the best places for touring according to their interests. The recommendation system recommends the most appropriate destinations for the end users. Internet travel portals also compete with each other regularly by taking into consideration several characteristics. Recommendation systems are one of the best methods to raise income and attract consumers. Established systems retrieved irrelevant information that resulted in low customer satisfaction and disappointment of customers. In this research, the Tour Spot recommendation system through content-based filtering is proposed and designed. It recommends the best picnic spot according to the budget and interest of the user. The proposed system improves the tourist experience and recommends the best place according to the things they would like;most significantly it is budget friendly as it suggests different places according to the interests and needs of the user. Data collection, including user information, consolidated user engagement reports, and tour spot data, is the primary challenge of implementing a travel recommendation system. User information originates mainly from information entered by the user during the registration process. When the system has the data of user likes and dislikes, then the system compares the user preferences to the dataset that the author makes for the tour recommendation systems in the dataset first identifies all the features that must be considered at the time of selection of travel destination. This Article also considers user likes and dislikes and the previous history of users to recommend a similar tour spot. © 2022 IEEE.

With a steady increase in the adoption of cloud storage systems, the client's data are at risk of being leaked. There are several methods of encrypting data which are quite useful but they lack some of the features of today's sophisticated threats. The methodology used in this research propose an encryption framework known as Obfuscrypt to improve the issues of data privacy as well as confidentiality of data stored in cloud storage systems. Obfuscrypt uses conventional encryption strategies incorporated with obfuscation and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms to provide a complex security plan immune to classic and quantum approaches. Some of the proposed other innovations include the decentralised key management with multi-factor authentication and RBAC-ABE as the fine-grained access control techniques. These features make it possible for only the authorized personnel to be in a position to be in a position of decrypting and retrieving the stored data thereby minimizing the possibility of the data being accessed by unauthorized people. The work also considers the issue of performance efficiency of the cloud storage systems. Similar to other symmetric encryption programs, Obfuscrypt uses light encryption algorithms and brings in to play the hardware acceleration so that it may infuse lesser computational overhead in the process of encryption and decryption. As can be clearly seen from the results, the actual work proves that the proposed framework not only offers a higher level of security but does not affect the system performance to a great extent. Also, the study addresses the post-quantum cryptographic algorithm for making the system resistant to an attack that can be posed by quantum computing systems. With the help of these improved algorithms, Obfuscrypt guarantees the permanent data security in the world of constantly emerging cyber threats. © 2024 IEEE.

Globally, the development of Intelligent Cyber-Physical Transportation Systems (ICTS) aims to tackle several challenges, including reducing traffic accidents and fuel usage, alleviating congestion, shortening travel time, and enhancing overall transportation safety. These systems leverage advanced customer-centric communication and networked control methods, such as inter-vehicle, vehicle-to-roadside (V2R), and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication through the use of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) to cover all aspects of transportation-based information. In existing systems, once devices are registered with a Trusted Authority (TA), subsequent authentication still relies on the TA's assistance. However, these devices typically remain stationary, and frequent interaction with the TA becomes impractical and costly in highly mobile VANET environments. To address this challenge, we propose a secure access control protocol with conditional privacy for VANETs. Unlike other protocols, our protocol does not require the TA's involvement during authentication between vehicles and RSUs. Additionally, our protocol leverages pseudonym mechanisms to provide conditional privacy, enabling legitimate vehicles to remain anonymous while malicious ones can be tracked. Our proposed scheme is supported by both formal and informal security analyses and has been shown to be secure against several known attacks in VANETs. Furthermore, compared to relevant studies, our protocol achieves 30.2505% of efficiency in terms of computation cost and 11.09276% of efficiency in terms of communication cost, respectively. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is crucial for diagnosing various knee-related diseases, and developing automatic diagnostic models based on knee MRI data is highly valuable. However, this task presents significant challenges due to the need to manage MRI data with multiple sequences and numerous images, where different diseases are often associated with specific images within certain sequences. To address these challenges, we propose a multi-label classification framework designed to effectively process MRI data and handle a large-scale label space encompassing hundreds of disease categories. Our approach introduces a Slice-Level Label Attention mechanism, which enables the model to learn the alignment between labels and images within sequences, thereby enhancing both performance and interpretability. Additionally, we present a Global-Guided Attention Regularization mechanism that further improves the consistency and robustness of the Slice-Level Label Attention results. We validate our framework on a large-scale MRI dataset involving multi-label classification across hundreds of fine-grained disease categories. Experimental results demonstrate that our method not only achieves superior performance but also provides more robust and consistent interpretability. © 2024 IEEE.

Virtual experiences can significantly influence our perception and behavior in the real world, shaping how we interact with and navigate physical environments. In this paper, we examine the impact of learning navigation routes in an immersive virtual environment (IVE) on navigation performance and user experience in a corresponding real-world indoor setting. We developed a guide system with two distinct audiovisual representations: a human agent guide and a symbol-based guide. A preliminary user study (N = 10) was conducted to evaluate the system. While no significant differences were observed between the two guide conditions, the findings reveal valuable insights into user-perceived confidence and enjoyment during real-world navigation tasks. Contrary to our expectations, the symbol-based guide elicited slightly higher positive scores compared to the human agent guide. We discuss these findings and outline directions for future research.

The studies in this research are focused on the mix of homomorphic encryption mechanisms and the Cuckoo Search Optimization Algorithm to promote the security of the healthcare data in the cloud computing system. I have observed that cloud solutions are now at the center of the contemporary health care systems, and security of patient's data remains a top priority. Earlier used encryption techniques, though secure if implemented, have problems in the way that data is to be processed first it has to be decrypted and then made ready for use - it is in this phase that data can be easily hacked into. Homomorphic encryption provides solution to this issue since it enables one to perform computations on encrypted data while maintaining its confidentiality. However, it takes a lot of computation which presents a lot of problems even in terms of simple performance. The Cuckoo Search Algorithm, a new nature-inspired metaheuristic, is incorporated into the encryption process to provide further optimization, whilst preserving the security benefits of the algorithm. The use of the proposed methodology takes place employing Python and its deployment at the cloud platform with elaborated dataset containing anonymized records extracted from electronic health records. The outcome proves that there are great enhancements in encryption and decryption time, computational complexity, and capacity, and thereby making the system appropriate for real-world healthcare solutions. This research offers a strong base for protection of healthcare data in cloud and is useful for the enhancement of adaptive, comprehensive and secure cloud computing systems. © 2024 IEEE.

This research aims to explore the use of modern complex defensive machine learning algorithms in the provision of predictive analytics for health improvement. Incorporating electronic health records, medical image information, and genomic data the work proposes and assesses multiple machine learning models including deep learning, ensemble learning, and reinforcement learning. The main findings shown very high performance in disease prediction, in chronic illness and in the application of efficiency improvements in hospitals as a whole. Overall, such threats as data quality, data privacy, and model interpretability have been discussed in the research and emphasize the importance of the machine learning approach in healthcare. It is highlighted that further development and integration of the interdisciplinary approaches as well as the use of the transparent and interpretable artificial intelligence and machine learning models can be urgent to increase the acceptance among the healthcare staff. This paper enhances the literature on applying machine learning in healthcare systems adding to the repertoire of knowledge for improved patient care. © 2024 IEEE.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is among the most prevalent eye diseases that can result in blindness and vision loss if left untreated. Early detection of vision impairment might slow or stop its progression. Manual diagnosis using retinal fundus images, such as visual acuity testing, pupil dilation, and optical consistency tomography, calls for highly skilled clinicians to identify and assess the significance of numerous smallest details, making this a rigorous, time-consuming, and error-prone task. Consequently, a computer-aided automated process is definitely required. This study proposes an automated strategy for binary classification of DR versus normal retina using gaussian filtered color fundus retinal photos as input. The study employs the Diabetic Retinopathy dataset from Kaggle that includes 3,662 original retinal images with labelling for non-DR and DR. Using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architectures, the process can distinguish exudates, microaneurysms, and hemorrhages in retinal imaging by training with labelled data. The study trained and tested five models, InceptionV3, MobileNetV2, ResNet50, VGG16, and VGG19. It is observed that MobileNetV2 stands out as the most effective at detecting DR and Non-DR with and accuracy of 96.04% and Cohen Kappa Score of 92.08%. In the study, the models Resnet50, VGG16 and VGG19 have the same compilation time of 62 seconds for each epoch compared to which MobileNetv2 takes more time with 90 seconds, followed by InceptionV3 with 85 seconds. © 2022 IEEE.

As virtual reality (VR) continues to expand, particularly in social VR platforms and immersive gaming, understanding the factors that shape user experience is becoming increasingly important. Avatars and locomotion methods play central roles in influencing how users identify with their virtual representations and navigate virtual spaces. However, little is known about the impact of congruence between these two factors. We conducted a user study with 30 participants, employing two avatar types (human and gorilla) and two locomotion methods (human-like arm-swing and gorilla-like arm-roll), to assess the effects of avatar-locomotion congruence. Our results indicate that congruent avatar-locomotion conditions enhance avatar identification and user experience.
