With the rise of Foundation models, Text-to-Image models, as one of its important branches, have been increasingly applied. While focusing on the impressive generation capabilities of these models, it is also crucial to pay attention to the robustness of the models against attacks. In this paper, we shift our focus towards studying the vulnerability of Text-to-Image (T2I) models. To this end, we propose a black-box attack method and demonstrate that T2I models are susceptible to adversarial text attacks. Specifically, this method can disrupt T2I models by making subtle modifications to the model's input (i.e., prompt) without accessing the model parameters, resulting in the generation of incorrect images. It is worth mentioning that we discovered the ability to switch different types of tokenizers within this black-box framework to handle text, furthermore, this attack framework can be applied to target different versions of T2I models. The experiments indicate that the images generated through adversarial text exhibit noticeable errors. We also employ CLIP score, a metric used to evaluate the similarity between images and image descriptions, to assess the results. The findings demonstrate a significant decrease in the visual-textual similarity after the model is subjected to attacks. Additionally, we have identified a specific type of error that T2I models tend to make when facing attacks - when confronted with unrecognizable text, the model often interprets it as human-related content. This paper not only highlights the vulnerability of T2I models to adversarial text attacks but also further discusses potential methods that could enhance the robustness of these attack techniques. This provides a valuable reference for future research directions in this field. © 2023 IEEE.

An understanding of historical trends of flooding is essential to capture current risk as more people are exposed to flood hazards than ever before. Flood modeling relies on accurate and frequent remote sensing inputs to produce reliable flood risk results. However, remote sensing datasets are limited by temporal resolution which, in the case of Landsat, leaves 87% of days without observation. This study aims to address these gaps in observation using a Random Forest model to predict the Modified Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI) in Landsat images by fusing gridded precipitation and elevation data. The trained model is then used to estimate MNDWI for when there are no Landsat observations. The model was evaluated on a 50 by 50 pixel test patch achieving a residual squared error between the true average MNDWI and the estimated average MNDWI of 0.48. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a new method for traffic anomaly identification within the Faster R-CNN framework by combining the DenseNet module with the region proposals (RPs) processing block. The suggested approach seeks to improve feature extraction and RP creation in aerial imagery or CCTV frames to get beyond the drawbacks of the current methods. Discriminative features are extracted through DenseNet, and the RPs block makes it easier to provide a wide range of accurate and varied area proposals. Contrast correction techniques are applied to overcome the difficulties presented by low-resolution and low-contrast images frequently seen in surveillance scenarios. Comparing experimental results to state-of-the-art techniques, one can observe notable resilience and detection accuracy increases. The suggested method works exceptionally well in various traffic scenarios and environmental circumstances, indicating its potential for practical implementation in traffic surveillance systems. Overall, the study contributes to advancing the efficacy and reliability of anomaly detection in urban traffic environments. © 2024 SPIE.

The fast-paced growth of artificial intelligence applications provides unparalleled opportunities to improve the efficiency of various *** as the transportation sector faces many obstacles following the implementation and integration of different vehicular and environmental aspects *** congestion is among the major issues in this regard which demands serious attention due to the rapid growth in the number of vehicles on the *** address this overwhelming problem,in this article,a cloudbased intelligent road traffic congestion prediction model is proposed that is empowered with a hybrid Neuro-Fuzzy *** aim of the study is to reduce the delay in the queues,the vehicles experience at different road junctions across the *** proposed model also intended to help the automated traffic control systems by minimizing the congestion particularly in a smart city environment where observational data is obtained from various implanted Internet of Things(IoT)sensors across the *** due preprocessing over the cloud server,the proposed approach makes use of this data by incorporating the neuro-fuzzy ***,it possesses a high level of accuracy by means of intelligent decision making with minimum error *** results reveal the accuracy of the proposed model as 98.72%during the validation phase in contrast to the highest accuracies achieved by state-of-the-art techniques in the literature such as 90.6%,95.84%,97.56%and 98.03%,*** far as the training phase analysis is concerned,the proposed scheme exhibits 99.214% accuracy. The proposed prediction modelis a potential contribution towards smart cities environment.

To register two images, existing methods normally estimate the parameters of an affine transform, and then perform an inverse affine transform to the test image by using the estimated parameters. Any metric can then be applied to the reference image and the normalized image. In this paper we propose a new method for measuring visual image quality which circumvents the need to estimate the parameters of the affine transform. Instead, we use the log-polar transform and the fast Fourier transform (FFT) to extract features that are invariant to translation, rotation, and scaling. We apply the existing structural similarity index measure (SSIM) to the two invariant feature images, where no inverse transform is needed. Experimental results show that our proposed method outperforms the standard metric, the mean SSIM (MSSIM), significantly in terms of visual quality scores. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In present era, transformation of almost all fields of life toward digitalization, poses various challenges. One of them is effective data analysis of large datasets and its complexity multiplies when dataset evolves with time. Dominance based rough set theory is a mathematical based tool, which efficiently probes hidden patterns from preference ordered based datasets. But in case of large datasets, computation of DRSA approximations becomes crucial step. In conventional DRSA algorithm, approximation sets have to be re-calculated when some change occurs in data over time. Therefore, repetitive calculations further increase the computational cost of approximations in real-time domain. In this paper, we researched the execution cost of approximations and designed a periodic approach to efficiently update DRSA approximations when variations occur in an object set and value set of decision attribute. We tested and compared the proposed dynamic approach with conventional approach and another dynamic approach, using UCI datasets. The results have shown that the proposed approach marked 98% reduction in computational time in comparison with conventional approach and 25% reduction in comparison with dynamic approach while updating DRSA approximations upon multi-dimensional variations. © 2022 IEEE.

To address the problem of enormous differences in two heterogeneous images, the traditional unsupervised frameworks are most normally realized by converting two images into a common domain with various auxiliary strategies, such as transformation and alignment, which requires extensive calculation and has difficulty balancing the training tasks. To achieve a concise framework, this article proposes self-guided autoencoders (SGAE) for unsupervised change detection (CD) in heterogeneous remote sensing images (RSIs). Unlike traditional methods that aim to narrow the differences of heterogeneous images to highlight the changed information, SGAE forces the flow of identification in formation generated in unlabeled data through self-guided iterations. First, initial unsupervised networks output an elementary change map that will be screened to obtain reliable pseudolabels. The selected pseudolabeled samples will be used as the input of a supervised network to obtain another change map. Then, multiple change maps will be fused to refine the confidence of pseudolabels again, obtaining new fused pseudolabeled samples for the self-guided network, which will be trained with pseudolabeled samples and unlabeled samples. Finally, the above operations will be repeated to continuously optimize the net, which helps itself to extract the discriminative features for classification in self-guided iterations. Experiments compared with several algorithms on four datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of our method, which can help unsupervised models improve discriminative feature extraction and classification performance with a more flexible learning method. © 2020 IEEE.
