Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) significantly impacts a child's ability to navigate social interactions, regulate emotions, and develop adaptive skills crucial for daily functioning. While various interventions exist to address cognitive and academic skills, the development of soft skills such as communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, and creativity remains an under explored area. This paper builds upon the foundational work of the Mind Champ platform, which originally targeted both learning and soft skills, by focusing exclusively on enhancing the soft skills development of autistic children. This enhanced version of the Mind Champ platform leverages advanced behavioral and emotional analysis techniques to offer a comprehensive technological solution. Through interactive activities centered on painting and music, the platform creates a structured, engaging, and supportive environment tailored to the unique needs of children with ASD. By prioritizing emotional engagement and creative expression, the platform empowers children to improve their social abilities, emotional regulation, and adaptability. The results from our continued research indicate that these technology-driven interventions contribute significantly to the holistic development of soft skills in autistic children, providing them with valuable tools to navigate social environments more effectively.

A sentiment analysis scheme for image and text comments based on multimodal deep learning and spatiotemporal attention is proposed to address the issues of incomplete spatiotemporal considerations, incomplete implementation details, and cutting-edge theoretical algorithms in graphic and textual sentiment analysis schemes. The proposed model has clear layering including data preprocessing layer, modal encoding layer, modal fusion layer, sentiment classification layer, loss function and optimizer, evaluation and feedback. The implementation details of each layer are introduced. The entire scheme model incorporates Multimodal Fusion Neural Network (MFNN) deep learning and spatiotemporal attention mechanism, which makes the scheme perform well in terms of security, robustness and performance, making up for the shortcomings of existing research schemes. © 2025 IEEE.

The discovery of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) patterns is vital to formulate mitigation strategies based on the characteristics of RTA. Various studies have applied association rule mining for RTA pattern discovery. However, limited research has conducted a comparative analysis of RTA patterns in different regions. This work is necessary to identify the similarities and differences of RTA characteristics between different regions, especially the developed and developing countries with different RTA trends in fatality rates. This work explored the application of association rule mining (FP-Growth algorithm) to discover and compare the RTA patterns for developed and developing countries. The Orange Data Mining software is used to discover RTA patterns for Ethiopia (12,317 samples) and the UK (United Kingdom) (1,048,575 samples), representing developing and developed countries. Eventually, findings showed similarities and differences in RTA patterns between Ethiopia and the UK. Road characteristics and conditions are the common factors contributing to RTA severity levels, while other crucial factors include the light condition and speed limit. In conclusion, the discovery of RTA patterns in different regions is beneficial to assist in formulating strategies to reduce the risk of RTA. Future work is necessary to discover the RTA patterns from different perspectives, such as seasonal or periodical variations of RTA patterns. © 2023 IEEE.

One of the primary structural materials in the development business is concrete. Compressive strength is the most frequently utilized metric when assessing the strength and nature of cement. This paper clarifies how to make use of technical regression (RT) methodology to decide the legitimate dose of the concrete mixture. Water, Cement, Fly Ash, Blast Furnace, Superplasticizer, Coarse, and Fine Aggregate, were used as input parameters, on the other hand, compressive strength was used as an output parameter. The produced models were evaluated using statistical parameters: Linear Regression, Decision Tree Regression, and Random Forest Regression. In contrast with other applicable models, it was found that the Gaussian process regression model based on the function of the nucleus of radial bases delivered relatively better results. The recommended models should get a good deal on saving money on materials, labor, and time while also improving accuracy. The proposed concrete should be more durable and accordingly more cost-effective. © 2023 Bharati Vidyapeeth, New Delhi.

Space systems enable essential communications, navigation, imaging and sensing for a variety of domains, including agriculture, commerce, transportation, and emergency operations by first responders. Protecting the cybersecurity of these critical infrastructure systems is essential. While the space environment brings unique constraints to managing cybersecurity risks, lessons learned about risks and effective defenses in other critical infrastructure domains can help us to design effective defenses for space systems. In particular, discoveries regarding cybersecurity for industrial control systems (ICS) for energy, manufacturing, transportation, and the consumer and industrial Internet of Things (IoT) offer insights into cybersecurity for the space domain. This paper provides an overview of ICS and space system commonalities, lessons learned about cybersecurity for ICS that can be applied to space systems, and recommendations for future research and development to secure increasingly critical space systems. © 2023, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. The ability to continuously follow a target person in a dynamically changing environment remains a major challenge that indoor companion robots confront. Ongoing human following is complicated by close similarity matching and target occlusions. Person Re-Identification (re-ID) is a computer vision task that can help with the problem of intentional or unintentional occlusion of the subject or person of interest. Numerous research has been conducted on re-ID where the basic assumption is that the gallery set will only have non-occluded person images. This paper examines the problem from a human detection perspective and surveys the state-of-the-art of person re-ID, their achievement and shortcomings. A region-based convolutional neural network (R-CNN) Re-ID is proposed in this research. The findings from the prototyping and evaluation demonstrate that the proposed person Re-ID model is reliable for indoor re-ID situations. Thus, future works in this direction include investigating other factors, such as the number of persons in a scene and varying viewing angles of the probed target person, which can impact the performance of the proposed re-ID model. © 2023 ACM.

Semantic-Aware Pseudo-Labeling for Unsupervised Meta-Learning

In unsupervised meta-learning, the clustering-based pseudo-labeling approach is an attractive framework, since it is model-agnostic, allowing it to synergize with supervised algorithms to learn from unlabeled data. However, the pseudo-labels suffer from clustering noise and semantic chaos problems, further impacting the effectiveness of meta-learning. In this paper, we analyze and optimize the pseudo-labeling process, including encoding and clustering, aiming to generate semantic-like pseudo-labels to narrow the gap between unsupervised and supervised meta-learning. First, during the encoding, we observe that the embedding space of existing methods lacks clustering-friendly properties, which is the primary reason for clustering noise. To address this issue, we minimize the inter-to-intra-class similarity ratio to generate clustering-friendly embedding features and validate our approach through comprehensive experiments. Then, during the clustering, we find that the semantic quality of pseudo-labels is not adequately controlled, resulting in semantic chaos of pseudo-labels. We propose a semantic-stability index to measure the semantic quality of pseudo-labels quantitatively. Based on this index, we propose the Semantic-aware Pseudo-label Reassignment mechanism to generate semantic-like pseudo-labels for all samples. Our approach is model-agnostic and can easily be integrated into existing supervised methods. To demonstrate its generalization ability, we integrate it into two representative algorithms: MAML and EP. The results on three main few-shot benchmarks clearly show that the proposed method achieves significant improvement compared to state-of-the-art models. Notably, our approach also outperforms the corresponding supervised method in three tasks. © 1979-2012 IEEE.

In line with the human capacity to perceive the world by simultaneously processing and integrating high-dimensional inputs from multiple modalities like vision and audio, we propose a novel model, MAiVAR-T (Multimodal Audio-Image to Video Action Recognition Transformer). This model employs an intuitive approach for the combination of audio-image and video modalities, with a primary aim to escalate the effectiveness of multimodal human action recognition (MHAR). At the core of MAiVAR-T lies the significance of distilling substantial representations from the audio modality and transmuting these into the image domain. Subsequently, this audio-image depiction is fused with the video modality to formulate a unified representation. This concerted approach strives to exploit the contextual richness inherent in both audio and video modalities, thereby promoting action recognition. In contrast to existing state-of-the-art strategies that focus solely on audio or video modalities, MAiVAR-T demonstrates superior performance. Our extensive empirical evaluations conducted on a benchmark action recognition dataset corroborate the model's remarkable performance. This underscores the potential enhancements derived from integrating audio and video modalities for action recognition purposes. The widespread impact of thyroid disease and its diagnosis is a challenging task for healthcare experts. The conventional technique for predicting such a vital disease is complex and time-consuming. A data-driven approach may offer predictive solutions, but it relies on all relevant attributes, which are computationally expensive. Hence, we propose a novel machine learning (ML) based disease prediction system that could potentially predict it by considering three crucial steps. First, to reduce the dimension of the dataset, three feature selection techniques were employed, including feature importance (FIS), information gain selections (IGS), and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LAS). Moreover, recommended medical references were considered while developing a feature set having the identical attributes as high-risk factors (HRF). Second, the models, including the three stage hybrid classifier (3SHC) and the three stage hybrid artificial neural network (3SHANN), are used as classifiers on the training data set. Third, a local interpretable model-agnostic explanations (LIME) to the 3SHC with the HRF samples was applied to individually explain the predictions. Then, the overall behaviors of both gender and age categories were explored with the help of a partial dependence plot (PDP). Finally, the proposed system is validated with extensive experiments, where the 3SHC achieves an accuracy (ACC) of 99.29%, which can play a crucial role in preventing thyroid disease and alleviating stress in the healthcare sector. © 2020 IEEE.
