We introduce camera ray matching (CRAYM) into the joint optimization of camera poses and neural fields from multi-view images. The optimized field, referred to as a feature volume, can be "probed" by the camera rays for novel view synthesis (NVS) and 3D geometry reconstruction. One key reason for matching camera rays, instead of pixels as in prior works, is that the camera rays can be parameterized by the feature volume to carry both geometric and photometric information. Multi-view consistencies involving the camera rays and scene rendering can be naturally integrated into the joint optimization and network training, to impose physically meaningful constraints to improve the final quality of both the geometric reconstruction and photorealistic rendering. We formulate our per-ray optimization and matched ray coherence by focusing on camera rays passing through keypoints in the input images to elevate both the efficiency and accuracy of scene correspondences. Accumulated ray features along the feature volume provide a means to discount the coherence constraint amid erroneous ray matching. We demonstrate the effectiveness of CRAYM for both NVS and geometry reconstruction, over dense- or sparse-view settings, with qualitative and quantitative comparisons to state-of-the-art alternatives. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. The kidSwatch is a mobile application designed specifically for grade 1 children aged six years. It serves as a comprehensive framework for observing and evaluating children's developmental progress. The application focuses on the main components of children's development: Cognitive development, Emotional development, Language development, and Learning development. By analyzing the results obtained from observing these four components, parents can gain valuable insights into their children's development within a matter of minutes. The kidSwatch employs a range of observational techniques, including direct observation, structured interviews, and standardized tests, to gather information on a child's talents, skills, and behaviors. Trained observers proficient in the kidSwatch framework carefully record and analyze the child's interactions, activities, problem-solving abilities, emotional expressions, and social interactions. Ultimately, the kidSwatch empowers parents with a quick and effective means of understanding and assessing their child's development. To satisfy the above features there are a Hand number detection algorithm, letter recognition algorithm, Emotion recognition algorithm, and voice-based answering algorithm They perform an accuracy between 75%-90% on CNN. © 2023 IEEE.

GIRP: Energy-Efficient QoS-Oriented Microservice Resource Provisioning via Multi-Objective Multi-Task Reinforcement Learning

Microservice architecture has revolutionized web service development by facilitating loosely coupled and independently developable components distributed as containers or virtual machines. While existing studies emphasize end-to-end latency, this paper investigates energy-efficient quality-of-service (QoS)-oriented microservice provisioning, focusing on both QoS satisfaction and power consumption (PC) conservation. We propose the Green and Intelligent Resource Provision (GIRP) architecture, integrating a data-driven energy-latency-aware resource allocation and scheduling manager to balance latency and PC. To reconcile the trade-offs involved, a dual-objective optimization problem is formulated to minimize latency and energy use by selecting proper servers, allocating CPU cores, and determining service replicas. To address challenges with discrete variables, dual objectives, and implicit mappings, we leverage a model-free deep deterministic policy gradient-based reinforcement learning algorithm. Specifically, we develop a multi-task agent via the Multi-gate Mixture-of-Experts model to simultaneously make two separate actions regarding CPU core numbers and service replica numbers, followed by a single-task agent to determine service scheduling. Extensive experiments on the DeathStarBenchmark testbed validate GIRP's effectiveness, demonstrating approximately 52% resource savings and a 43% reduction in PC compared to leading methods like Sinan, Firm, and heuristic-based algorithms. These results highlight GIRP's capability to optimize microservice orchestration by balancing end-to-end latency and power efficiency. © 2025 IEEE. All rights reserved.

The sampling problem under local differential privacy has recently been studied with potential applications to generative models, but a fundamental analysis of its privacy-utility trade-off (PUT) remains incomplete. In this work, we define the fundamental PUT of private sampling in the minimax sense, using the f-divergence between original and sampling distributions as the utility measure. We characterize the exact PUT for both finite and continuous data spaces under some mild conditions on the data distributions, and propose sampling mechanisms that are universally optimal for all f-divergences. Our numerical experiments demonstrate the superiority of our mechanisms over baselines, in terms of theoretical utilities for finite data space and of empirical utilities for continuous data space.

Hybrid Deep Learning and Fuzzy Matching for Real-Time Bidirectional Arabic Sign Language Translation: Toward Inclusive Communication Technologies

Technological advances and AI tools can help address the challenges faced by individuals who are deaf or nonverbal in different areas of social interaction. Existing tools mainly focus on one-way translation and are limited by small vocabulary datasets, require significant computational power, and often lack a real-time implementation. Therefore, a bidirectional real-time translation application for Arabic Sign Language and written Arabic text was developed in this research to improve communication and learning experiences for individuals who are deaf. The proposed system designed with two primary translation modules includes sign-to-text and text-to-sign. The sign-to-text module employs transfer learning models to translate Arabic sign images into text, while the text-to-sign module integrates a fuzzy string-matching tool to convert Arabic text into sign images. The system was customized using six CNN-based deep learning architectures: AlexNet, ResNet152V2, YOLOv8n, Swin Transformer, InceptionV3, and Xception. Additionally, the ArSL dataset and an Arabic data dictionary were employed to enhance the diversity, accuracy, and completeness of the selected CNN models, thereby improving the system’s adaptability across various users and contexts. Experimental evaluations were conducted to assess the system’s performance in terms of both accuracy and processing efficiency. The results demonstrated exceptionally high accuracy across all investigated CNN models, but YOLOv8n-cls demonstrated the highest accuracy with a score of 99.9%, followed by Xception, Swin Transformer, and AlexNet at 99.0%, and InceptionV3 and ResNet152V2 at 98.0%. These closely aligned results are attributed to the inherent characteristics of the dataset, as well as the shared methodologies employed, including preprocessing, data augmentation, cross-validation, and hyperparameter tuning. This research proposes a method to accurately forecast the risk of lung cancer in its initial stages by the combination of medical diagnosis and artificial intelligence. Two distinct models are employed: a symptoms-based model utilizing linear regression, and VGG19, a component of CNNs is employed for the analysis of chest x-ray images. The objective of this dual-model approach is to improve comprehensiveness and precision in the early prediction of lung cancer risk. The JSRT and Chest Xray-14 datasets were utilized to train and validate the convolutional neural network (CNN). The Regression model was trained using the Survey Lung cancer Dataset. This initiative prioritizes user-friendliness, interpretability, and ethical considerations of healthcare AI. Semantic segmentation is an important approach to present the perceptual semantic understanding of an image, which is of significant usage in various applications. Especially, body part segmentation is designed for segmenting body parts of human characters to assist different editing tasks, such as style editing, pose transfer, and animation production. Since segmentation requires pixel-level precision in semantic labeling, classic heuristics-based methods generally have unstable performance. With the deployment of deep learning, a great step has been taken in segmenting body parts of human characters in natural photographs. However, the existing models are purely trained on natural photographs and generally obtain incorrect segmentation results when applied on anime character images, due to the large visual gap between training data and testing data. In this article, we present a novel approach to achieving body part segmentation of cartoon characters via a pose-based graph-cut formulation. We demonstrate the use of the acquired body part segmentation map in various image editing tasks, including conditional generation, style manipulation, pose transfer, and video-to-anime. © 2024 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Gliomas are aggressive brain tumors known for their heterogeneity,unclear borders,and diverse locations on Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)*** factors present significant challenges for MRI-based segmentation,a crucial step for effective treatment planning and monitoring of glioma *** study proposes a novel deep learning framework,ResNet Multi-Head Attention U-Net(ResMHA-Net),to address these challenges and enhance glioma segmentation ***-Net leverages the strengths of both residual blocks from the ResNet architecture and multi-head attention *** powerful combination empowers the network to prioritize informative regions within the 3D MRI data and capture long-range *** doing so,ResMHANet effectively segments intricate glioma sub-regions and reduces the impact of uncertain tumor *** rigorously trained and validated ResMHA-Net on the BraTS 2018,2019,2020 and 2021 ***,ResMHA-Net achieved superior segmentation accuracy on the BraTS 2021 dataset compared to the previous years,demonstrating its remarkable adaptability and robustness across diverse ***,we collected the predicted masks obtained from three datasets to enhance survival prediction,effectively augmenting the dataset *** features were then extracted from these predicted masks and,along with clinical data,were used to train a novel ensemble learning-based machine learning model for survival *** model employs a voting mechanism aggregating predictions from multiple models,leading to significant improvements over existing *** ensemble approach capitalizes on the strengths of various models,resulting in more accurate and reliable predictions for patient ***,we achieved an impressive accuracy of 73%for overall survival(OS)prediction.
