Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) are vital for today’s businesses. However, the successful implementation of ERP systems faces several challenges, which can determine its success or failure. This paper provides a brief state-of-the-art review of the success factors of ERP implementation using various applications that span different contexts. The paper discusses and compares the aims defined and the techniques applied in these studies, as well as the data used and the results obtained from each of these studies. This review paper reviews published work to tackle these challenges, covering the literature published in 2020-2023. A special effort was also made to focus on high-quality papers published in top journals with high-impact factors and indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. The review process is repeatable, as special keywords were used to search the literature using publishers’ databases and three specialized tools. The paper concludes by discussing the future of the successful implementation of ERP systems. The paper argues that ERP systems will continue to have a major impact on the success of today’s businesses. Therefore, they must carefully consider various factors that influence their successful implementation. © 2024 IEEE.

This article presents a comprehensive study on the utilization of data mining technologies and ontological approaches in the field of government procurement. It highlights the complexities involved in defining procurement object requirements and developing technical specifications, which vary significantly from case to case. The study underscores the need for procurement professionals to possess extensive knowledge across various sectors due to the diversity of goods, works, and services procured. The adoption of Intelligent Data Analysis is proposed as a solution to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of procurement processes. The research investigates the potential of automating ontology construction to facilitate decision-making in creating technical specifications. It examines the legal framework governing government procurement and explores the capabilities of the Unified Information System for public procurement in Russia. The paper also describes the development of a typed ontology for public procurement, emphasizing the importance of an ontological approach in managing the large volume of multistructured information typical in procurement documentation. This approach is vital for the automated synthesis of necessary documents, offering significant support in decision-making processes. The article concludes with a detailed exploration of the ontological approach to document synthesis in government procurements. It outlines the process of selecting procurement subjects, conducting intellectual analysis of texts, and using intelligent data analysis techniques to ensure compliance with legal requirements. © 2024 IEEE.

In modern air traffic management, generating synthetic flight trajectories has emerged as a promising solution for addressing data scarcity, protecting sensitive information, and supporting large-scale analyses. In this paper, we propose a novel method for trajectory synthesis by adapting the Time-Based Vector Quantized Variational Autoencoder (TimeVQVAE). Our approach leverages time-frequency domain processing, vector quantization, and transformer-based priors to capture both global and local dynamics in flight data. By discretizing the latent space and integrating transformer priors, the model learns long-range spatiotemporal dependencies and preserves coherence across entire flight paths. We evaluate the adapted TimeVQVAE using an extensive suite of quality, statistical, and distributional metrics, as well as a flyability assessment conducted in an open-source air traffic simulator. Results indicate that TimeVQVAE outperforms a temporal convolutional VAE baseline, generating synthetic trajectories that mirror real flight data in terms of spatial accuracy, temporal consistency, and statistical properties. Furthermore, the simulator-based assessment shows that most generated trajectories maintain operational feasibility, although occasional outliers underscore the potential need for additional domain-specific constraints. Overall, our findings underscore the importance of multi-scale representation learning for capturing complex flight behaviors and demonstrate the promise of TimeVQVAE in producing representative synthetic trajectories for downstream tasks such as model training, airspace design, and air traffic forecasting. © 2025 IEEE.

Asthma is a far reaching non-communicable sickness that affects individuals of any age and is a significant danger to human wellbeing worldwide, especially in low and middle-income countries. Its prevalence is substantial, and it remains one of the major contributors to global death rate. A substantial number of asthma development prediction models, and machine learning based approaches, exist. The problem associated with conventional methods of asthma prediction is low predictive accuracy of the model. The objective of this study is to develop an interactive Machine Learning (iML) framework for predicting Asthma Health conditions in selected African countries. The model was tested using dataset obtained from National Survey of Children's Health (NSCH). The machine learning technique used was XGBoost, and model development including preprocessing, training, and tested were carried out using Python programming language on Google Collaboratory (Collab) environment. The results of benchmarking of the performance accuracy of XGBoost shows 90.6% which is higher than the existing results in literature for Decision Tree (90.49%), KNN (90.28%), Naïve Bayes (82.7%). The study found out that the model developed by the researchers performed comparatively well in predicting asthma when compared with some existing state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

Recommender systems aim to filter information effectively and recommend useful sources to match users' requirements. However, the exponential growth of information in recent social networks may cause low prediction accuracy for recommendation systems. This article proposes a unified personalized recommendation architecture referred to as PSRec, which incorporates user preference and social relationship into matrix factorization framework. Specifically, PSRec generates two collections for textual reviews and contextual information respectively, and performs preference learning for each user via the Latent Dirichlet Allocation topic model. Moreover, PSRec exploits the inner relations within the social circle for recommendation, including direct trust relationship and indirect trust relationship. Additionally, it's certificated that PSRec can converge at a sub-linear rate via theoretical analysis. Experimental results over DoubanMovie, CiaoDVDs and Yelp demonstrate the superiority of the proposed PSRec, which can achieve significant improvements and provide much better user experience while compared with other benchmark models. © 2024 - IOS Press. Soil salinity is a serious land degradation issue in *** is a major threat to agriculture *** irrigation water is applied to leach down the salts from the root zone of the plants in the form of a Leaching fraction(LF)of irrigation *** the leaching process to be effective,the LF of irriga-tion water needs to be adjusted according to the environmental conditions and soil salinity level in the form of Evapotranspiration(ET)*** relationship between environmental conditions and ET rate is hard to be deﬁned by a linear relationship and data-driven Machine learning(ML)based decisions are required to determine the calibrated Evapotranspiration(ETc)***-assisted ETc is pro-posed to adjust the LF according to the ETc and soil salinity level.A regression model is proposed to determine the ETc rate according to the prevailing tempera-ture,humidity,and sunshine,which would be used to determine the smart LF according to the ETc and soil salinity *** proposed model is trained and tested against the Blaney Criddle method of Reference evapotranspiration(ETo)*** validation of the model from the test dataset reveals the accu-racy of the ML model in terms of Root mean squared errors(RMSE)are 0.41,Mean absolute errors(MAE)are 0.34,and Mean squared errors(MSE)are 0.28 mm *** applications of the proposed solution in a real-time environ-ment show that the LF by the proposed solution is more effective in reducing the soil salinity as compared to the traditional process of leaching.

Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is a prevalent eye complication among individuals with diabetes. Early detection of DR can prevent vision loss and lower associated problems. Manual diagnosis via retinal fundus images requires the expertise of medical professionals to assess several complex characteristics, including visual acuity tests, pupil dilation, and optical consistency tomography. The process is challenging, time-consuming, and prone to errors. This paper proposes a deep learning (DL) technique, DRDnet22, to detect and categorize DR into five distinct stages. The APTOS 2019 dataset is utilized in this study, which contains 3662 images. The study employs dense block and transition layer with global average pooling (GAP) techniques, and the combination of distinct Convolutional Networks (ConvNets) results in an enhanced representation beyond the utilization of features from a single ConvNet alone. To conduct an ablation analysis, the conventional pre-trained model's performance was compared. The performance evaluation points out that the proposed model achieved 81.6% accuracy, which is an advantage over other DCNN models. Despite facing a few inaccuracies, the model's competence in spotting vital features underscores its diagnostic potential. © 2024 IEEE.
