Heart disease is a leading global cause of death, highlighting the need for accurate and efficient risk assessment methods. Traditional models often fail to address the uncertainty and vagueness in medical data. A Fuzzy Rule-Based system (FRBS) offers a solution by leveraging fuzzy logic to handle imprecise inputs like age, blood pressure, and lifestyle factors. The system uses fuzzification to convert crisp inputs into fuzzy sets, applies expert-defined IF-THEN rules through an inference engine, and translates outputs into interpretable risk scores via defuzzification. FRBS provides a flexible and patient-centric approach, accommodating linguistic variables and ambiguous data. Applications include real-time monitoring through wearable devices and telemedicine platforms, enhancing preventive care and empowering early detection of heart disease. The Internet of Things (IoT) has turned the healthcare domain in a better direction due to more interconnected and smarter systems that enhance care delivery. Certainly, the IoT-accessible applications in these fields are only possible if devices, sensors, and real-time data are interconnected. Among today's marvels are remote patient monitoring, wearable health trackers, telemedicine, and smart hospital management. Medicine gets more personal, effective, and accessible due to these improvements. However, its development remains unmatched being faced with complexities such as security of personalized data, safety risks resolution, and seamless device-to-system integration. This paper examines the influential role of IoT in advanced healthcare systems, with its virtues, major applications, and implementation obstacles as the subject. The Internet of Things as a mode of health and technology bridging can entirely change how medicines are being practiced and even lead to the improvement of the lives of patients by introducing adaptive and efficient hospital systems. Thus, IoT can be a technology that balances tech and medicine for the betterment of patient treatment outcomes and make the system adaptive and efficient. © 2025 IEEE.

IoT (Internet of Things) technology enables the connectivity and communication of healthcare-related equipment, medical devices, and sensors. This connectivity enables better monitoring, data collecting, and analysis, which leads to better patient outcomes and more effective healthcare delivery. However, with the rising use of linked devices, it is critical to detect and prevent Cyberattacks in order to secure sensitive patient information. In order to tackle this problem, the article delves into the application of machine learning methods like Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Logistic Regression (LR), Random Forest (RF), and Naive Bayes (NB), These algorithms were evaluated using the WUSTL EHMS2020 dataset and demonstrated the highest level of accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper explores the role of advanced sensor technologies and microactuators in revolutionizing urban transportation systems, a crucial aspect of modern urbanization. Our research examines how these technologies enhance the economy, facilitate nature transformation, and improve living standards by addressing critical urban challenges such as traffic congestion, safety, pollution, and efficiency. The paper delineates the specific areas, challenges, tasks, and potential solutions in implementing an integrated sensor network for comprehensive transport management. Key contributions of this paper include (i) an overview of the urban total transport system and its evolution into an intelligent management system, leveraging a hierarchical approach to vehicle and transport classification;(ii) an analysis of competitive sensing technologies that can be incorporated as elements of the Internet of Things (IoT) for effective system monitoring and management. Our methodology involves identifying the requirements for positioning and sensing in urban transport, defining the pertinent challenges and tasks, and systematically evaluating potential technological solutions. The findings are instrumental in developing smart cities, particularly in enhancing smart transport operation centers. The Internet of Things(IoT)is a modern approach that enables connection with a wide variety of devices *** to the resource constraints and open nature of IoT nodes,the routing protocol for low power and lossy(RPL)networks may be vulnerable to several routing ***’s why a network intrusion detection system(NIDS)is needed to guard against routing assaults on RPL-based IoT *** imbalance between the false and valid attacks in the training set degrades the performance of machine learning employed to detect network ***,we propose in this paper a novel approach to balance the dataset classes based on metaheuristic optimization applied to locality-sensitive hashing and synthetic minority oversampling technique(LSH-SMOTE).The proposed optimization approach is based on a new hybrid between the grey wolf and dipper throated optimization *** prove the effectiveness of the proposed approach,a set of experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of NIDS for three cases,namely,detection without dataset balancing,detection with SMOTE balancing,and detection with the proposed optimized LSHSOMTE *** results showed that the proposed approach outperforms the other approaches and could boost the detection *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to study the significance and stability of the proposed *** conducted experiments include seven different types of attack cases in the RPL-NIDS17 *** on the 2696 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 proposed approach,the achieved accuracy is(98.1%),sensitivity is(97.8%),and specificity is(98.8%).

The objective of this study is to develop an exams item bank management system on the internet. The exam item analysis system is used to determine the reliability of the exams using K-R 20 and K-R 21 formulas. The difficulty and power of discrimination values are determined using a choice analysis and percentages of high and lower groups technique. The create exams set system can be performed randomly or identified through the difficulty level. The examination can be performed online and the exam results can be immediately announced. The grading system is used to support the decision-making to evaluate learning achievement. The system's accuracy was tested and found to be accurate compared with the hand calculation results. The system was tested with a sample group and satisfaction was assessed through questionnaires. The satisfaction of teachers and students was highest, while that of administrators was high. The developed exams item bank management system operates as a web application with a security system for supporting in learning activity. © 2023 IEEE.

When large displacements occur in buildings with different stiffnesses in the two horizontal directions, torsional moments are generated owing to geometric nonlinearities. Consequently, when the sum or difference of the translational mode natural frequencies in the two horizontal directions is close to the torsional mode natural frequency, the torsional mode is excited. This is known as Q-? resonance. Therefore, we created a three-dimensional frame model of a center-core high-rise building with a biaxially symmetrical plane that satisfied the Q-? resonance condition and examined whether the torsional response was excited by long-period design waves. A time-history response analysis was conducted assuming elastic response and considering geometric nonlinearities. A comparative study of cubic Heusler alloys Ni2MnX (X = Al, Ga, In) was performed to explain the differences in material properties using a first-principles electronic structure calculation of quasi-particle self-consistent GW (QSGW) method. The obtained electronic structures indicate a similar density of states (DOS) of Ni 3d eg orbitals on the Fermi level for all the studied materials, implying a promotion to a band Jahn-Teller (BJT) distortion. The generalized susceptibility analysis suggests some instability of the cubic high symmetry phase and indicates, that the Ga containing material is the one which is the most pronounced to 10M modulation due to this instability. Taking the advantage of accurate first-principles electronic structure calculations performed by QSGW, the U parameters of Hubbard correction on Mn and Ni atoms were determined using the density functional theory (DFT) approach with generalized gradient approximation (GGA), so that the local and total QSGW magnetic moments are reproduced. © 2024 The Magnetics Society of Japan.

One of the problems faced by engineering and science students is focusing solely on technical knowledge while needing more cultural context. In today's interconnected world, addressing global challenges necessitates collaborative efforts from individuals across nations. Accordingly, a joint course between Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and the Tokyo Institute of technology in Japan has been established. The recent theme of the course, 'Gamification towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),' aimed to foster global citizenship and address SDGs through multicultural collaboration. This study examines the similarities and differences in problem identification between Thai and Japanese student groups participating in the course. Data was collected from discussions, presentations, and group assignments throughout the course. The findings indicate that while both groups share common concerns, such as waste management, language barriers, and transportation issues, their perspectives and proposed solutions are influenced by cultural characteristics. Thai students emphasized infrastructural inadequacies and local traditions, whereas Japanese students focused on efficiency and the impacts of tourism. The study highlights the importance of understanding cultural nuances in collaborative international projects to achieve effective and innovative solutions to global challenges. © 2024 IEEE.
