作者: Wang, J.P. Trécat, J. Dr. Jianping Wang is a doctor fellow in the Faculte Polytechnique de Mons in Belgium. His current research field is parallel processing applications in power systems. Dr. Wang obtained his BS degree from Southwest Jiaotong University in P.R. Chinain 1982. From 1982 to 1990 he was appointed as an assistant lecturer. lecturer and associate professor respectively in the electrical engineering department of Southwest Jiaotong University. He obtained his Ph.D in the FacultC Polytechnique de Mons in July of 1993. (BD Dolez 3 1 FPMS B-7000 Mons Belgium T +32-65/37 41 87 Fax +32-65/37 43 00) Professor J. Trécat is a director in the power system laboratory in the Faculty Polytechnique de Mons. He has been working in the fields of power system automation artificial intelligence application and computer vision in the Facult6 Polytechnique de Mons since 1970. He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering in 1968 his M.S. in environmental engineering in 1975 and his Ph.D. in environmental engineering in 1983 all from Drexel University in Philadelphia. His research interests include evaluating representative ground water and surface water sampling techniques for trace levels of organic and inorganic compounds and designing new sampling devices. Thomas E. Imbrigiotta received a B.S. in chemistry with a concentration in environmental studies from Oakland University Rochester Michigan in 1975. He then attended the University of Wisconsin Madison and received an M.S. in water chemistry in 1982. He has been a hydrologist with the USGS Water Resources Division (810 Bear Tavern Rd. Ste. 206 West Trenton NJ 08628) since 1977. He worked in the Indiana District from 1977 to 1984 prior to coming to the New Jersey District. Currently he is project coordinator for the Picatinny Research project a study of the fate and transport of chlorinated solvents in ground water at Picatinny Arsenal New Jersey. Previously he was chief of a project evaluating sampling techniques for organics in ground water. James H. Ficken worked for the USGS Water Resources Division as a chemical engineer from 1964 to 1992. He received his B.S. in chemical engineering in 1962 from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri. His research interests were water quality instrumentation and sensors that measure real-time environmental data. He contributed as a team member to the design and development of the USGS water quality flow-through and mini-monitor system. Ficken passed away in 1992. James F. Pankow is a professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at the Oregon Graduate Institute (Oregon Graduate Institute of Science and Technology Department of Environmental Science and Engineering P.O. Among these were the Trident II fire control and navigation systems the BSY-I Anti-Submarine Warfare System and the Navy standard computers (UYK44 and EMSP). He served as manager of the Digital Circuits Engineering Branch and was then appointed as manager of the Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Technology Division. As manager of the ATE Technology Division he was responsible for the SP-23 Fire Control System Support Project the SP-24 Navigation Project and the Fleet Progressive Maintenance Program (2M/ATE). This Division was responsible for selection and application of electronic product technology and for developing fleet test and repair techniques. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville and is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Dr. Alfred Skolnick:retired from the Navy in 1983 with the rank of captain. He is president of System Science Consultants (SSC) specializing in strategic planning technical program definition technology assessment and engineering analyses on selected matters of national interest. Dr. Skolnick taught mathematics and management sciences at University of Virginia and Marymount University. He is adjunct faculty at Northern Virginia Community College. From 1985 to 1989 he was president of the American Society of Naval Engineers. In the Navy he served at Applied Physics Laboratory/The Johns Hopkins University then aboard USSBoston(CAG-1) and played leading roles in several weapon system developments inertial navigation (Polaris) deep submergence (DSRV) and advanced ship designs (SES). He later was director Combat System Integration Naval Sea Systems Command and head Combat Projects Naval Ship Engineering Center.
