The problem of integrated production and maintenance control of unreliable manufacturing systems evolving in a stochastic and dynamic environment is studied in this paper. The considered system is subject to degradation and the produced products are perishable with random shelf-lives. The literature of operations management for perishable products reports a correlation between the shelf-life of the product and the machine degradation. In fact, the latter results in shelf-lives reduction. Ignoring this correlation effect may result in inaccurate values of the shelf-lives and inefficient control policies. The objective of this paper is to develop a joint production and maintenance control policy that minimizes the total cost composed of backlog, inventory holding, disposal and maintenance costs. The proposed parametrized joint control policy combines a multi hedging point policy and an age-based preventive maintenance policy. The optimization of the parameters of the proposed joint control policy is obtained using a simulation-based optimization approach and sensitivity analyses are provided to confirm its robustness. The obtained results show that the correlation between machine degradation and shelf-life reduction has a major influence on the control parameters and that preventive maintenance interventions can lead to increasing the shelf-life of products and minimizing the total cost. The proposed joint control policy is then compared to three other polices for a wide range of system and cost data. The deployment of 6th Generation (6G) mobile networks will bring revolutionary changes to organizations and users through higher speeds, lower latency, and more intelligent network management. This will require more efficient spectrum sharing to improve network performance. Cognitive Radio (CR) can be employed to help achieve this goal. However, data collection at the fusion center for cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) creates a risk of sensing user (SU) data leakage. In this paper, an intelligent CSS algorithm for mobile communication is proposed based on Federated Learning with a Swin-Transformer. First, to achieve the cross-domain process, a Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) is used with the normalized time series data to obtain a time-frequency spectrum map with joint time-frequency features. Second, Federated Learning is employed to realize distributed CSS to reduce sensing overhead, improve the security of sensing data, and eliminate the SU data isolation with traditional distributed CSS. Then, a new Swin-Transformer spectrum sensing is proposed for fusion learning of the time-frequency spectrum map. The fusion of Federated Learning and Swin-Transformer neural network provides cooperation with multiple SUs to achieve efficient spectrum sensing using the K -rank fusion criterion. Compared with the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), ViT-Transformer, Graph Neural Network (GNN) and EfficientNet algorithms, the detection probability of the proposed algorithm has increased by 45 %, and the false alarm probability has decreased by 13 %.

As a connective tissue connecting teeth and alveolar bone, periodontal ligament (PDL) has the mechanical properties of nonlinearity, viscoelasticity, anisotropy. In this paper, the pig mandibular central incisors were taken as subjects, a loading machine(CARE-MI00) was used to perform compression tests and the PDL stress-relaxation characteristics under different strain conditions were obtained. The stress-time curves and the relaxation modulus curves were obtained. The three-parameters Zener model and five-parameter generalized Maxwell model proposed by the author were used to fit the data. The experimental results show that the elastic modulus of PDL decreases gradually in the apex(ranges from 2.64 to 3.06 MPa), cervical margin(ranges from 1.44 to 1.76 MPa) and midroot (ranges from 1.03 to 1. 06MPa). Zener model has a relatively high fitting degree, and the squared correction coefficient is about 0.98, however, the adjusted R square of the five-parameter model was above 0.99. Compared with the Zener model, the five-parameter model can better reflect the sudden drop of relaxation modulus at the initial stage, which is more suitable for describing stress-relaxation in viscoelastic behavior of PDL. The advantage of this paper is to compare the descriptive ability of three-parameter and five-parameter generalized Maxwell equation to the mechanical properties of PDL and to provide an effective procedure for the preparation of PDL specimens. © 2019 IEEE.

CoCrMo biomedical alloys are extensively used in medical implants for their superior biocompatibility and mechanical properties. The present study investigates the relationship between microstructure and corrosion behavior on the building surface (XY-plane) and side surface (YZ-plane) of CoCrMo alloys fabricated by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). Comprehensive electrochemical tests revealed significant anisotropy in corrosion behavior between the XY and YZ planes due to the microstructure heterogeneity. In the XY-plane, finer grain sizes, higher dislocation densities, longer sub-grain boundaries, and a more extensive distribution of inclusions facilitate the formation and stability of a dense protective film, effectively preventing the intrusion of corrosive media. In contrast, the YZ-plane, characterized by a higher density of melt pool boundaries (MPBs), demonstrated pronounced selective corrosion, particularly within the sub-grain regions and along the MPBs. These insights can guide the optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance corrosion resistance, thereby improving the performance and safety of medical implants by reducing the risk of implant failure due to corrosion-related issues.

The dissolving technique of ionic liquid (IL) was applied in extraction process of hydroxyapatite (HAp). Product HAp was extracted by IL choline chloride-urea (ChCl-Urea) dissolving cattle bone. The optimum conditions for regeneration process of cattle bone were determined by single factor, orthogonal and verification experiments. IR spectra of regenerated bone, undissolved bone and raw bone showed that the main groups of regenerated bone did not change. It was indicated that ionic liquid did not damage the bone collagen of raw bone, and the collagen was only dissolved by IL. IR spectrum of the product HAp revealed that its components were similar to those of the natural bone. SEM pattern showed that the crystal shape of the product HAp appeared rod-like shape mostly, and the crystal structure was relatively complete. XRD diffraction explained that there was no difference between product HAp and standard HAp for the crystalline form and compositions. This paper focuses on the scheme of cooperative lane change motion planning of multiple connected and automated vehicles, so as to minimize the time for lane change while penalizing large steering angles subject to hard collision avoidance constraints. Nominally this scheme should be formulated in a centralized way with the constraints of all the vehicles considered simultaneously. In order to facilitate the numerical solving process of this centralized optimization problem, we propose a stepwise computation framework. Starting with a sub-problem with all of the collision avoidance constraints removed, a sequence of sub-problems are defined by adding back the removed collision avoidance constraints gradually until the original problem takes shape in the end. The optimum of one sub-problem is always used as the initial guess when solving the next sub-problem. This iterative process continues until the optimum of the original problem is obtained. In this way, the difficulties in the original centralized problem are divided into multiple parts, and every progress made to address the partial difficulties is 'solidified' by the initial guess. © 2018 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a cooperative motion planning method for a group of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) crossing a lane-free intersection without using explicit traffic signaling. This multi-vehicle motion planning task is formulated as a centralized optimal control problem. However, the solution to this optimal control problem is numerically intractable due to the high dimensionality of the collision-avoidance constraints and the nonlinearity of the vehicle kinematics. A two-stage strategy is proposed for generating online solutions: at Stage 1, the CAVs are requested to reach a standard formation before entering the intersection;at Stage 2, the vehicles cross the intersection. As the motion planning sub-problem at Stage 2 begins with a standard configuration, the optimal solution to this standard sub-problem can be computed offline in advance and applied online directly. On the other hand, the formation reconfiguration sub-problem at Stage 1 is easy to solve online. Through dividing the entire dynamic process into two periods, the difficulties in the original optimal control problem are significantly reduced so that the real-time performance is achieved. © 2018 IEEE.

Two new architectures of the third-order low-pass filters (LPF) based on differential (Op-Amp) and differential difference amplifiers (DDA) with a paraphase output are compared. This architectures designed for practical use as anti-aliasing filters in analog-to-digital converters of sensor signals of various physical quantities. The basic equations of the developed LPF modifications that make possible to perform their parametric synthesis are given. The computer simulation results are presented, which show that the LPFs under consideration provide the guaranteed frequency response (FR) attenuation outside the bandwidth being implemented on Op-Amps by Analog Device (AD8132) and Texas Instruments (THS4131).

This work presents a novel constraint handling strategy for Predictive Functional control (PFC). First, to improve prediction consistency, the constant input assumption of nominal PFC approaches is replaced with Laguerre based prediction. This substitution improves the effectiveness of using a constrained solution to prevent long-term constraint violations. Secondly, for state constraints, a simpler single regulator approach is proposed instead of switching between regulators, an approach common in the PFC literature. Simulation results verify that the proposed method manages the constraints better than the traditional approach. Moreover, despite all the modifications, the controller formulation and framework remain simple and straightforward which thus are in line with the key ethos of PFC. © 2017
