Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been widely employed as airborne base stations to enhance terrestrial communications. However, the growing demand for communications, spectrum and energy resources are increasingly in short supply, while malicious jamming from jammers threatens the communications reliability. To address these challenges, we propose a joint reliable channel selection and power control approach for multi-UAV-enabled communications networks under malicious jamming attacks, with the goal of maximizing user communication capacity under limited energy constraint and avoiding malicious jamming from jammers. Due to the dynamic and time-varying nature of communication environments, we propose an intelligent resource optimization algorithm based on game theory guided reinforcement learning. To be specific, we employ a hierarchical learning algorithm based on the Stackelberg game to help users in the follower layer cooperatively select channels to against co-channel interference and jamming, and develop a deep reinforcement learning-based algorithm for dynamic power control to maintain communication efficiency. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed approach can significantly improve the user communication rate and achieves faster convergence compared with existing algorithms. © 2024 IEEE.

As a disaster-prone country, Indonesia needs proper tools for disaster education. Serious games have the potential to be a useful tool for disaster mitigation training because they offer a fun learning environment to produce information that is easier to understand. The learning environment creates the immersive experience, one of the most important element in the game. Game activity design is essential to build the immersive experience. However, in most serious games, the game activities are poorly designed. In this study, we use Appreciative Learning as the fundamental concept to design game activities and enhance the immersive experience. Appreciative Learning emphasizes the discovery of potential, peak achievements, opportunities, and hope for the future. The four stages of appreciative learning are discovery, dream, design, and destiny. Then, Appreciative Learning based activities are are implemented to create more dynamic immersive experiences. As an experiment tool, the puzzle game for disaster mitigation, 'Evakuator,' is developed. The Game Experience Questionnaire measures player experience in playing Evakuator, scoring 3.3 out of 4. © 2023 IEEE.

This study's objective is to evaluate the system's level of maturity by adopting the COBIT Framework 5. The COBIT Framework is one of the ISACA-issued frameworks that defines the concept of information technology governance. The BAI (Build, Acquire, and Implement) domain is the subject of this investigation. The BAI domain is one of the COBIT 5 Framework domains responsible for program and project management, description of needs, identification of solutions, building change availability and capacity, change acceptance and transition, knowledge, assets, and configuration. This study employs qualitative methods to perform literature reviews and question-and-answer sessions, and then collects quantitative analytical data through the formulation of statements or inquiries. There were 5 respondents who responded to the statement, and they implemented the system. The BAI domain of the CBT Examination system in Jakarta's Senior High School XYZ has been calculated and determined to be at level 4, indicating that the system is functioning appropriately. There are subdomains with a lower maturity level in BAI01, BAI02, BAI03, BAI04, BAI06, BAI07, and BAI08, specifically at a rate between 3.8 and 3.96. Additionally, BAI05, BAI09, and BAI10 contain subdomains with a higher level of maturity, with a value range of 4.07 to 4.15. All BAI subdomains culminate at level 4, the system's maturity level, with a value of 3.93. Level 4 indicates that the level of development for Managed and Measurable is fairly good. It can also provide recommendations for improvements, such as paying attention to project management methods before beginning implementation, being able to estimate the time required for the implementation process, and paying attention to the role of trained stakeholders. © 2023 IEEE.

The problem of the rational use of energy resources remains constantly relevant and requires the search for new approaches. One of them is power control. In AC circuits, the authors see the most promising method of phase AC power control. Based on it, a power control module was developed. The structural and circuit diagrams of the developed device are presented to implement the proposed solution. The authors produced its experimental prototype and conducted experimental testing at various levels of regulated power. Savings when using the proposed power control module were calculated using the example of energy consumption in various sectors of energy-intensive systems. According to the data obtained, the module allows saving energy consumption without significant discomfort to the energy user. The calculated results allow concluding that the proposed AC power control module is fully operational, and its widespread use will significantly reduce the need for electricity. © 2024 IEEE.

An activity wherein the usage of masks and social distancing, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 may not be possible, is not possible is during social gatherings over a meal or a drink. Droplets generated during a casual conversation during a meal can lead to the transmission of COVID, due to which restaurants and bars can turn out to be vectors for its transmission. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the dispersion of respiratory droplets in such an environment. To that end, we carry out numerical simulations of droplets dispersion in a typical Japanese restaurant. Recent advancements in legged robot locomotion systems have led to significant improvements in their agility and overall performance. However, for these systems to effectively handle sudden obstacles, especially in foothold areas, real-time integration of external information is crucial. In this paper, we introduce a rapid integration approach between perception and action in legged robot locomotion to address such unexpected external obstacles. We utilize depth sensors to capture external data in the form of pointclouds. We have developed a fast surface perception model based on topological information, employing dynamic sparsity through the growing neural gas algorithm. This model addresses several key challenges in 3D point cloud extraction: 1) Extracting object features from a smaller portion of data. 2) Controlling granularity in unsupervised learning using a topological structure. 3) Controlling granularity with only 3D positional point cloud information. To evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed method, we conducted a series of progressive experiments. Initially, we compared the performance of our topological perception model with similar approaches. Subsequently, we carried out qualitative and quantitative experiments using a real, low-cost quadruped robot

Urban air is frequently contaminated with CO, CO2, VOC, HCHO, PM 2.5, and PM 10. Rural regions are at a lower risk than those near roads and industrial areas that produce emissions. Air pollutants negatively affect its inhabitants' health, particularly the respiratory system. Most people will spend more time indoors, requiring a method for monitoring indoor air quality (IAQ). Urban communities need IAQ monitoring instruments as an early warning system for their health. This research seeks to produce inexpensive IAQ that can be utilized by all levels of society, particularly urban communities. This research utilizes a qualitative, design-thinking-based methodology. The research diverged from Empatize, which asserts that urban communities require a method for determining the local air quality. Moreover, it is determined at the define stage that IAQ monitoring, which includes a data log feature, is still comparatively expensive, so a solution is developed at the ideate stage. Creating a prototype is the next step in realizing the specified solution. In this investigation, they decided to use IAQ monitoring, which is relatively inexpensive but lacks log data storage. The author uses the ESP32-cam microcontroller to capture the screen display device, and the resulting image is sent to a telegram and processed with optical character recognition (OCR) to generate a data log. The results of prototype testing are utilized for prototype development. © 2023 IEEE.

Everyone has a fundamental desire for sleep. By sleeping, humans can conserve energy and replenish their stamina to optimal levels. Lighting is one component that influences the quality of a person's sleep. One of them is a person who sleeps with the lights on, suffers from nyctophobia, has poor sleep quality, and may be responsible for several illnesses. This study aims to develop a smart lighting device that will aid in treating youngsters with nyctophobia to get used to sleeping with the lights off to improve their sleep quality. The case study methodology used in this study entails the development of a prototype. This method employs an oximeter as a heart rate detector and a sensor comparison as the measurement device. Arduino Uno circuit and heart rate sensor are the main devices in this research. At the same time, the NRF 24L01 is a communication medium between the two Arduino Uno boards. The experimental measurements in normal conditions indicate that the heart rate sensor was nearly the same as the value displayed by the oximeter. Similarly, after running for 1 minute, both devices produced almost identical results, with an average difference of 1 Beats Per Minute (BPM). According to experiments with a heart rate sensor, the switch-off condition can be activated if the heart rate hits 90 BPM. In this case, the light will switch off once the heart rate hits 70 BPM, which might be used for sleeping individuals. © 2022 IEEE.
