The next generation of commercial aircraft might feature high-aspect-ratio wing configura tions to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions. However, these wings are more susceptible to increased gust and maneuver loads, which can result in higher overall airframe weight. Active control technologies have the potential to mitigate these issues or even achieve weight savings. Experimental studies are indispensable to further understand and refine these load alleviation techniques. This paper outlines the synthesis and the experimental verification of one gust load alleviation controller developed as part of the DLR oLAF project (optimal Load-Adaptive Aircraft). The oLAF demonstrator is a wind tunnel model with a flexible, swept wing equipped with multiple trailing-edge flaps and acceleration sensors, representative of a long-range trans port aircraft configuration. The controller design employs H2-optimal blending of control inputs and measurement outputs, enabling the isolation of target mode(s) and individual mode control through a single-input-single-output controller. This approach prioritizes simplicity and facilitates effective scheduling of the single-input-single-output controller to cope with varying operating conditions. Wind tunnel tests show a maximum reduction of 61% in the incremental wing root bending moment when the demonstrator is subjected to continuous gusts. © 2025, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. Soils represent the largest contributor to global nitrous oxide(N_(2)O)***,current research efforts predominantly focus on N_(2)O emissions from agricultural soils,while studies on N_(2)O emissions from natural soils,another significant source,remain *** this study,we explored the magnitude,spatiotemporal dynamics,and drivers of N_(2)O emissions from China's natural soils over the period 1980–2022 via machine learning and a compiled novel dataset of 319 field *** results revealed that the N_(2)O flux per unit area was generally higher in the southeast compared to the northwest,and higher in forests than in *** spatial and biome heterogeneity was strongly regulated by local hydrothermal conditions and nitrogen *** averaged N_(2)O emissions over the study period were 646.2±27 Gg N_(2)O yr^(-1),with approximately equivalent contributions from forests and ***,there exhibited a significant and increasing trend from 1980 to 2022,with a rate of 2.7 Gg N_(2)O yr^(-2).Such an increase was primarily driven by the expansion of forested area and elevated nitrogen *** data-driven study presents a long-term and gridded estimate of N_(2)O emissions from China's natural soils,emphasizing the need for future research on changes of greenhouse gas emissions induced by land use change and nitrogen deposition.

It is necessary to extract feature parameters that can reflect the essential characteristics of the speech signal,so as to recognize speech *** this paper,three feature parameters have been introduced,namely,LPCC,MFCC,and RAS MFCC,which are common in speech *** recognition rates of the three feature parameters under different signal-to-noise ratios with or without differences are compared,the WFBA method is applied to *** experimental results demonstrate that the MFCC parameter performs best at low signal-to-noise ratios;the recognition rate of the RAS MFCC feature parameter is better when the signal-to-noise ratio is higher than 5 *** effect is significantly improved greatly when the feature parameters have ***,the recognition rate of the RAS MFCC feature parameter with difference can reach 98.2% at the highest when MFCC has been enhanced by the DWFBA method.

The latest Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)proposes new shared pathways(SSPs)that incorporate socioeconomic development with more comprehensive and scientific experimental designs;however,few studies have been performed on the projection of future multibasin hydrological changes in China based on CMIP6 *** this paper,we use the Equidistant Cumulative Distribution Function method(EDCDFm)to perform downscaling and bias correction in daily precipitation,daily maximum temperature,and daily minimum temperature for six CMIP6 models based on the historical gridded data from the high-resolution China Meteorological Forcing Dataset(CMFD).We use the bias-corrected precipitation,temperature,and daily mean wind speed to drive the variable infiltration capacity(VIC)hydrological model,and study the changes in multiyear average annual precipitation,annual evapotranspiration and total annual runoff depth relative to the historical baseline period(1985–2014)for the Chinese mainland,basins and grid scales in the 21st century future under the SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 *** study shows that the VIC model accurately simulates runoff in major Chinese basins;the model data accuracy improves substantially after downscaling bias correction;and the future multimodel-mean multiyear average annual precipitation,annual evapotranspiration,and total annual runoff depth for the Chinese mainland and each basin increase relative to the historical period in near future(2020–2049)and far future(2070–2099)under the SSP2-4.5 and *** new CMIP6-based results of this paper can provide a strong reference for extreme event prevention,water resource utilization and management in China in the 21st century.

In this paper, a new dual frequency filter based on step impedance resonator is proposed. Impacts of traffic accessibility on ecosystem services:An integrated spatial approach

The continuous degradation of ecosystem services is an important challenge faced by the *** in transportation infrastructure have had substantial impacts on economic development and ecosystem *** the influence of traffic accessibility on ecosystem services can delay or stop their deterioration;however,studies on its impact are *** study addresses this gap by analysing the impact of traffic accessibility on ecosystem services using an integrated spatial regression approach based on an evaluation of the ecosystem services value(ESV)and traffic accessibility in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River Urban Agglomeration(MRYRUA)in *** results indicated that the ESV in the MRYRUA continuously decreased during the study period,and the average ESV in plain areas,areas surrounding the core cities,and areas along the main traffic routes was significantly lower than that in areas along the Yangtze River and the surrounding mountainous *** accessibility continued to increase during the study period,and the high-value areas centred on Wuhan,Changsha,Nanchang,and Yichang were radially *** global bivariate spatial autocorrelation coefficient between the average ESV and traffic accessibility was *** average ESV and traffic accessibility exhibited significant spatial dependence and spatial *** regression also proved that there was a negative association between the average ESV and traffic accessibility,and scale effects were *** findings of this study have important policy implications for future ecological protection and transportation planning.

Emergent grain boundary phases in stressed polycrystalline thin films

The grain boundary (GB) microstructure influences and is influenced by the development of residual stresses during synthesis of polycrystalline thin films. Recent studies have shown that the frustration between the preferred growth direction and rotations of abutting crystals to local cusps in GB energies leads to internal stresses localized within nanoscopic surface layers around the valleys and ridges that form at emergent boundaries (eGBs). Using a combination of continuum frameworks, numerical analyses, and all-atom simulations of bicrystal 〈111〉 copper films, we show that eGBs tune their surface morphology and rotation extent in response to external strains. Compression favors rotation to and growth of low-energy GB phases (complexions) at eGB valleys while tension favors the transitions at eGB ridges, a reflection of the stress-induced mass efflux/influx that changes the energetic balance between interfacial and deformation energies. Molecular dynamics simulations of strained and growing bicrystal films reveal that the eGB phase transition is coupled to island formation at the surface triple junctions, providing a direct link between eGB phases and surface step flow. The interplay between eGB structure, morphology, and mechanics emerges as a crucial ingredient for predictive understanding of stress and morphological evolution during film growth, with broad implications for multifunctional response of polycrystalline surfaces in a diverse range of surface phenomena such as surface-mediated deformation, interfacial embrittlement, thermal grooving, stress corrosion, surface catalysis, and topological conduction.

Physical Passivation of Deep-Level Defect States in Polymer Dielectrics for Outstanding Dielectric Properties

The limited dielectric strength of polymer dielectrics hampers their reliable use in highly integrated electrical systems and high-energy storage film capacitors. This constraint is closely associated with the presence of deep-level defect states in polymer dielectrics. Here, we present an efficient and stable approach for the physical passivation of deep-level defect states aimed at enhancing the dielectric properties of polymer dielectrics. Employing inductively coupled plasma technology with argon as the carrier gas, the polymer undergoes substantial decreased deep-level defect states, as evidenced by nano-micro-region defect measurements. Consequently, the localized charge accumulation in the treated polymer dielectric is significantly reduced, resulting in a remarkable 62% increase in flashover voltage. The breakdown strength is also enhanced, and the treated material exhibits long-term stability. Moreover, materials featuring passivated deep-level defect states can boost discharge energy density without compromising efficiency. For instance, PTFE with passivated deep-level defect states maintains a discharge energy density of 1.18 J/cm3 and a charge-discharge efficiency of 95.06% at 200 °C and 300 MV/m. By focusing on deep-level defect states passivation, we introduce a strategy for receiving polymers with exceptional performance and stability. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Electric Field-Induced Anisotropy in the Electronic Properties of Blue Phosphorus/Wse2 Heterojunction

In this study, first principle calculations was used to investigate the characteristics of a Blue P/WSe2 heterojunction. Among six potential stacking arrangements, the structure II was identified as the most energetically favorable. And interlayer spacing analyzing shown that a distance of 3.354 Å for the two-layer stack is the most stable configuration. The band structure results demonstrated that the heterojunction possesses an indirect bandgap of 1.12 eV utilizing HSE6.0. Upon accounting for spin-orbit effects, this transforms into a direct bandgap of 1.34 eV. Notably, the valence band maximum (VBM) and conduction band minimum (CBM) mainly stem from P's p orbitals and W's d orbitals, respectively. Moreover, scrutiny revealed that W's d orbitals within WSe2 introduce a spin-orbit coupling-induced splitting of approximately 0.46eV. By exploring the impact of an external electric field in various directions, strengths, and interlayer distances, it was found the electronic structure of the heterojunction can be manipulated. This capability leads to a broad spectrum of tunable bandgap values. Density of states and population analyses underscore the susceptibility of interactions between outer P and outer Se pz orbitals, to electric field influence. Our findings hold promising implications for designing adaptable optical and electronic devices. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.
