Magnetic components play an important role in power electronic equipment, but there is still lack of accurate magnetic core loss estimation model. The data-driven methods are well-developed in recent years, and they are also more robust and accurate than conventional model-driven methods like Steinmetz Equation (SE) and improved Generalized Steinmetz Equation (iGSE). However, existing data-driven methods often focus on single excitation waveform like sinusoidal excitation waveform, which is not robust enough when facing complex excitation waveform with many high-frequency harmonic waveform. This paper presents a data-driven model based on attention mechanism which can capture the inner relationship within the input excitation waveform to present a more accurate core loss estimation results. And the comparison results with Multi-layer Perceptron (MLP) and Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM) models indicates that the proposed model has much more accuracy when facing complex excitation waveform. The proposed model can help to design magnetic components.

This paper examines the challenges and requirements for transitioning logistic distribution networks to electric fleets. To maintain their current operations, fleet operators need a clear understanding of the charging infrastructure required and its relationship to existing power grid limitations and fleet schedules. In this context, this paper presents a modeling framework to optimize the charging infrastructure and charging schedules for a logistic distribution network in a joint fashion. Specifically, we cast the joint infrastructure design and operational scheduling problem as a mixed-integer linear program that can be solved with off-the-shelf optimization algorithms providing global optimality guarantees. For a case study in the Netherlands, we assess the impact of different parameters in our optimization problem, specifically, the allowed deviation from existing operations with conventional diesel trucks and the cost factor for daily peak energy usage. We examine effects on infrastructure design and power requirements, comparing our co-design algorithm with planned infrastructure solutions. The results indicate that current charging and electric machine technologies for trucks can perform the itineraries of conventional trucks for our case study, but to maintain critical time requirements and navigate grid congestion co-design can have a significant impact in reducing total cost of ownership (average 3.51 % decrease in total costs compared to rule-based design solutions).

LCC converters incorporate the stray parameters of high frequency transformer and are commonly employed as the initial stage of high-voltage DC power supplies, enhancing both efficiency and power density. However, the significant overshoot that occurs during the startup phase of high-voltage DC power supply poses considerable difficulties for the circuit. In this article, a simple open-loop soft startup control method is proposed: First, the operation mode analysis method is used to accurately solve the time-domain model of the LCC converter under different duty cycles in continuous current mode (CCM). Second, an open-loop variable duty cycle soft startup control strategy from the energy transmitted view is derived. Finally, soft startup process corresponding to different startup time requirements are verified on a 200V/20kV experimental prototype.

In this paper, we use a robust controller with prescribed performance for the Stewart-Gangway system, achieving motion compensation under unknown time-varying disturbances. The designed controller is able to drive the Stewart top platform towards an arbitrarily small neighborhood of a desired trajectory, with convergence speed no less than a prespecified value, and a maximum overshoot less than a sufficiently small preseted constant. To demonstrate the effictiveness of the designed control strategy, simulation results are given. © 2023 IEEE.

PPG-CNTs-nZVI bead was synthesized by polyvinyl alcohol, pumice, carbon nanotube, and guar gum-nanoscale zero-valent iron to be applied on simultaneously removal of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs;phenanthrene) and heavy metals (Pb2+) via adsorption. The individual and simultaneous removal efficiency of phenanthrene and Pb2+ using the PPG-CNTs-nZVI beads was evaluated with a range of initial concentrations of these two pollutants. The kinetics and isotherms of phenanthrene and Pb2+ adsorption by the PPG-CNTs-nZVI beads were also determined. The PPG-CNTs-nZVI beads show reasonably high phenanthrene adsorption capacities (up to 0.16 mg/g), and they absorbed 85% of the phenanthrene (initial concentration 0.5 mg/L) in 30 min. High Pb2+ adsorption capabilities were also demonstrated by the PPG-CNTs-nZVI beads (up to 11.6 mg/g). The adsorption fits the Langmuir model better than the Freundlich model. The adsorption still remained stable with various ionic strength circumstances and a wide pH range (2–5). Additionally, the co-adsorption of phenanthrene and Pb2+ by the PPG-CNTs-nZVI beads resulted in synergistic effects. Particularly, phenanthrene-Pb2+ complex formation via π–cation interactions demonstrated a greater affinity than phenanthrene or Pb2+ alone. The present findings suggest that PPG-CNTs-nZVI beads may be effective sorbents for the simultaneous removal of PAHs and heavy metals from contaminated waters. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The paper considers the synthesis of a combined nonlinear controller of the control multiply-connected system for an input-non-affine plant with delay at the input signal and state. Dynamics of the plant changes in stages. The plant under consideration operates in conditions of a parametric, functional and structural uncertainties, in the presence of a permanent external noise and measurement only the controlled variable (output signal). The structure of a multiply connected control system includes an implicit reference model, predictor-compensator and correction filters. The authors use the hyperstability criterion and method for constructing L-dissipative dynamic systems to synthesize the nonlinear algorithms for combined control system. The structural synthesis is performed by defining the special estimates which guarantee the validity of the V.M. Popov's integral inequality. Operability of the developed hyperstable control system with structural perturbation is ensured with the help of the special L-dissipativity conditions. At the final section of the article with the help of simulation the authors show the quality of the obtained nonlinear control system. The results of the system simulation show the fulfillment of the control goal with a sufficiently high quality. The obtained results may be useful for construction the control systems for technical plants which dynamics can be described as non-affine MIMO-system. For example, the robot-manipulators and some plants of heat power engineering has the mathematical description like multi-connected systems. © 2022 IEEE.

Under direct current (DC) operation conditions, local electric field in insulation layer will be distorted, leading to insulation failure. Since the conductivity of insulating materials generally corresponds positively with temperature, a temperature gradient will form inside the insulating material during cable operation, making the conductivity distribution uneven and causing the "electric field reversal" phenomenon in the cable insulation layer. The distribution of the electric field and temperature field of the polypropylene grafted as the cable insulation under the electric heating-coupling field is yet to be studied. Studies have proved that by grafting modification the insulating properties of materials can be improved. This paper studied the and conductivity characteristics of grafted polypropylene materials, and selected one type for more experiments to obtain the material's conductivity-temperature-electric field strength characteristic equation through data fitting. A model of a 100 kV DC cable was established in COMSOL, and simulation of the cable section’s electric heating-coupling field was performed, revealing the temperature and electric field distribution inside the insulation layer when the cable is rated, overloaded, or short-circuited. This paper presents an event-based asymptotic tracking control scheme designed for strict feedback systems with unknown control directions. The control directions directly determine how the controller acts on the system, thus impacting the system's stability and convergence speed. When the control directions are unknown, it presents a significant challenge in controller design. To tackle this issue, the Nussbaum-type gains are introduced. However, this method increases communication overhead. Hence, an event-triggered mechanism is introduced to alleviate this burden. Additionally, to achieve and maintain desired target states, satisfying control requirements and performance demands, this paper improves the event-triggered mechanism to achieve asymptotic tracking. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed design are validated through a simulation example. © 2024 Asian control Association.

Accurate vehicle localization is a key technology for autonomous driving tasks in indoor parking lots,such as automated valet ***,infrastructure-based cooperative driving systems have become a means to realizing intelligent *** this paper,we propose a novel and practical vehicle localization system using infrastructure-based RGB-D cameras for indoor parking *** the proposed system,we design a depth data preprocessing method with both simplicity and efficiency to reduce the computational burden resulting from a large amount of ***,the hardware synchronization for all cameras in the sensor network is not implemented owing to the disadvantage that it is extremely cumbersome and would significantly reduce the scalability of our system in mass ***,to address the problem of data distortion accompanying vehicle motion,we propose a vehicle localization method by performing template point cloud registration in distributed depth ***,a complete hardware system was built to verify the feasibility of our solution in a real-world *** in an indoor parking lot demonstrated the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed vehicle localization system,with a maximum root mean squared error of 5 cm at 15Hz compared with the ground truth.
