In response to the escalating demand for machine learning techniques capable of handling real-time data streams, particularly in applications like stock markets, this research dives deep into the domain of stream regression. The objective is to adeptly navigate challenges posed by evolving data over time, differentiating it from conventional static regression. Existing models, such as Fast and Incremental Model Trees with Drift Detection (FIMT-DD), k-Nearest Neighbours (KNN), and Adaptive Linear Regression (ALR) and some other studies, though competent, exhibit certain limitations like learning based on certain portions of data, using a significantly large memory and not capable of handling each data in every timestamp it arrives. We propose the Dynamically Adjustable Linear Regression Model (DALR) to address these shortcomings. DALR introduces an adaptive regression model that dynamically evolves based on historical knowledge and newly acquired data, providing an innovative solution to the intricacies of dynamic data streams. This endeavor has also highlighted that the DALR algorithm consistently demonstrates strong performance across various datasets according to the RMSE metric, surpassing other state-of -the-art algorithms in most instances. © 2024 IEEE.

Improving sludge dewaterability via Fe^(2+) chelated citrate activated peroxydisulfate oxidation

Citrate (Ct) was chosen as a typical chelator used in the Fe^(2+)-peroxydisulfate (PDS) process to improve sludge *** PDS-Fe^(2+)-Ct process exhibited better performance in sludge dewatering than PDS-Fe^(2+).Specifically,with a PDS dosage of 1.2 mmol/g VS,the molar ratio of PDS/Fe^(2+)and Ct/Fe^(2+)were 4:5 and 1:4,respectively,the capillary suction time decreased from 155.8 to 24.8sec,and the sludge cake water content decreased from 82.62%to 64.11%(-0.06MPa).The oxidation led to a reduced negative charge and a decrease in particle *** enhanced sludge dewaterability and changes of sludge properties were attributed to the decomposition of extracellular polymeric substances,and it was explored by protein,polysaccharide,3D-EEMs,and ***,the quenching experiments of radical species demonstrated that SO_(4)-·played a more important role than·OH,and its productivity was improved with the addition of ***,the reasons for the improved productivity of radicals with the addition of Ct were *** results of this study could serve as a basis for improving sludge dewatering using the PDS-Fe^(2+)-Ct process and suggest that the addition of Ct may improve the productivity of SO_(4)-·in the activation o PDS via Fe^(2+).

3d-transition metal(Fe,Co,Ni,and Mn)-based MXene materials have been predicted to demonstrate exceptional electrochemical performance because of their good electrical conductivity and the presence of metallic atoms with multiple charge ***,until now,there have been no reports on MXenes based on Fe,Co,Ni,and Mn,due to the lack of 3d-metal-layered ***,we successfully synthesized the first 3d-transition metal-based MXenes,Mn_(2)CT_(x) by exfoliating a layered precursor derived from the anti-perovskite bulk *** as-prepared Mn_(2)CT_(x) MXene nanosheets were employed as anode materials in lithium-ion batteries,which exhibited stable storage capacity of 764.7 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.5 C,placing its storage capacities at an upper-middle level compared with other reported MXene materials as well as other Mn-based anode ***,this study opens a new avenue for MXene research by synthesizing 3d-transition metal-based MXenes for electrochemical applications.

Detecting predefined key points on the satellite body in monocular images is a key method for performing satellite pose estimation. However, existing methods always design specialized predefined key points for a single satellite, which results in the low universality of such visual-based methods. Moreover, under remote observation conditions, the information on the surface of the satellite is not clear, and this complex presetting of key points is not easily detected. In this study, a neural network capable of predicting a 3D bounding box with relative depth information detection is proposed as a means of adapting to different satellite targets using a more general and geometrically simple definition of key points. Furthermore, the network is able to estimate satellite rotation accurately based on the aforementioned prediction results. The generalization ability of the proposed CNN-based model was enhanced by conducting network training and testing using a custom-built synthetic image dataset composed of a collection of 15 distinct satellite models captured using a virtual camera. The testing results demonstrate that the proposed pose estimation approach obtains accurate performance for non-cooperative targets with distinct shapes in the absence of predefined key point designs. Moreover, the observed accuracy of pose estimation is consistent with that of existing advanced models trained with only a single satellite target. © 2025 SPIE.

The potential of green hydrogen to make India self-sufficient and energy-independent is reviewed in this study. We integrated technological advancements, economic analysis, and policy frameworks to provide a comprehensive overview of the green hydrogen landscape in India. This review examines cost reductions in electrolyzer technology, the potential for renewable energy integration, and the socio-economic benefits of green hydrogen adoption. Additionally, the study proposes innovative policy measures tailored to India’s unique conditions, such as targeted subsidies and incentives for green hydrogen production and use. The research highlights significant cost reductions and increased renewable power generation as key factors contributing to the economic viability of green hydrogen in India. It underscores the importance of large-scale production and advancements in electrolyzer technology. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the necessity of clear regulatory frameworks, infrastructure development, and financing to support the deployment of a green hydrogen economy in India. By implementing a strategic roadmap for green hydrogen, India can reduce its reliance on fossil fuels, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and become a major player in the global green hydrogen market. In this study,the efects of defect,mean stress and lower loading are investigated for high cycle(HCF)and very high cycle fatigue(VHCF)behavior of Ti-6Al-4V *** indicates that the S-N curve of Ti-6Al-4V alloy exhibits a linear decreasing trend or a plateau characteristic in HCF and VHCF regimes,which depends on the defect size and stress *** strength decreases with increasing the defect size,and it is irrespective of stress *** fatigue crack initiates from specimen surface at R=−1 in both HCF and VHCF *** the fatigue crack initiates from the subsurface or the interior of the specimen at R=0.1 in VHCF regime.A sequence of lower stress amplitude below the fatigue strength at 10^(9) cyc has no or negligible infuence on the fatigue life of 10^(5)-10^(9) *** lower stress amplitude in variable amplitude loadings does not afect the failure *** residual compressive stress relaxation is not observed after a large number of lower loadings under ultrasonic frequency fatigue *** formula and Goodman formula give dangerous predictions of VHCF strength for both smooth specimens and specimens with defects.

Suppression of Vortex-Induced Vibration Caused by A Terebridae-Inspired Cylinder with Different Helical Angles

Biomimetic design has recently received widespread *** by the Terebridae structure,this paper provides a structural form for suppressing vortex-induced vibration(VIV)*** different structural forms are shown,including the traditional smooth cylinder(P0),and the Terebridae-inspired cylinder with the helical angle of 30°(P_(30)),60°(P_(60)),and 90°(P_(90)).Computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method is adopted to solve the flow pass the Terebridae-inspired structures,and the vibration equation is solved using the Newmark-β*** results show that for P_(30),P_(60) and P_(90),the VIV responses are effectively suppressed in the lock-in region,and P_(60) showed the best VIV suppression *** transverse amplitude and the downstream amplitude can be reduced by 82.67%and 91.43%respectively for P_(60) compared with that for P0,and the peak of the mean-drag coefficient is suppressed by 53.33%.The Q-criterion vortices of P_(30),P_(60),and P_(90) are destroyed,with irregular vortices *** is also found that the boundary layer separation is located on the Terebridae-inspired *** twisted ribs cause the separation point to constantly change along the spanwise direction,resulting in the development of the boundary layer separation being completely *** strength of the wake flow is significantly weakened for the Terebridae-inspired cylinder.

This work proposes a novel image encryption algorithm that integrates unique image transformation techniques with the principles of chaotic and hyper-chaotic systems. By harnessing the unpredictable behavior of the Chua system and the hyper-chaotic nature of the Chen system, the algorithm carries out rescaling, rotation, and randomization on the target image. The intrinsic unpredictability and sensitivity to initial conditions of these chaotic systems endow the encryption algorithm with an expansive key space of 25208. This feature not only bolsters its resilience against brute-force attacks but also magnifies its overall security profile. The algorithm's efficiency is evident in its rapid computational speed and lean resource consumption, making it suitable for real-time applications. To gauge its robustness, a battery of rigorous tests and analyses, spanning differential attacks, statistical attacks, and brute-force assaults, were employed. The results validate its ability to resist a diverse spectrum of threats. With its expansive key space, exceptional efficiency, and sturdy defenses, the proposed algorithm emerges as a potential cornerstone for safeguarding digital images in arenas like secure communication, data storage, and multimedia transmission. In sum, this research pushes the boundaries of high-security image encryption methodologies, catering to the burgeoning demands of the digital age. © 2013 IEEE.
