Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) used for charging of electric vehicles (EVs), suffers from the problem of misalignment. In this paper metaheuristic optimizing techniques are used to increase the misalignment tolerance of the receiver coil. This is done by optimizing the length of each turn of the transmitter coil such that a uniform magnetic field density is produced over the charging area, which is kept 26% higher than the transmitting coil area which further aids to accommodate misalignment of the receiver coil. Differential Evolution (DE), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) optimization algorithms are used to obtain the lengths of all the turns of the transmitter coil. These algorithms are also compared by varying the number of turns while keeping the number of iterations to a fixed value. © 2023 IEEE.

Configuration-Dependent Oxygen Reduction Reaction Performance of Iridium-Decorated Ni@Pd Nanocatalysts

The widespread market introduction of fuel cells is severely restricted by the sluggish oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) kinetics at the cathode side, which demands highly efficient and durable catalysts for generating adequate rates. By keeping this in view, herein, we report a systematic study to unveil the effect of structure configuration on the ORR activity of tri-metallic nanocatalysts (NC)s comprising atomic iridium (Ir) cluster (0.5 wt % of Ir)-anchored Pd nanoparticles (NP)s on the tetrahedral symmetric Ni-oxide support (denoted as NPI), prepared via a temperature-controlled wet chemical reduction method. For the optimum condition when the impregnation temperature for Ni-crystal growth is 40 °C, the Ir-cluster-decorated Ni@Pd nanoislands are formed (hereafter denoted as NPI-40), outperforming the commercial Johnson Matthey-Pt/C (J.M.-Pt/C;20 wt % Pt) catalyst by 181-fold with an unprecedented high mass activity of 12,163 mAmgIr-1 at 0.85 V vs RHE in alkaline ORR (0.1 M KOH). More importantly, NPI-40 NC retained 100% ORR performance with no degradation up to 20,000 accelerated degradation test (ADT) cycles, while only a 5 mV loss in half-wave potential (E1/2) is observed after 30 k ADT cycles. Besides, Ir-cluster-decorated Nicore@unconformable Pdshell and Ni-to-Pd epitaxial structures are formed at 25 °C (NPI-RT) and 70 °C (NPI-70) impregnation temperatures, respectively, showing the significantly decreased mass activities of 997 and 5146 mAmgIr-1 at 0.85 V vs RHE. The results of physical structure inspections and electrochemical analysis suggest that such an exceptional ORR performance of NPI-40 NC originates from the potential synergism between the high density of the occupied Ir-d orbital and the adjacent compressively strained Ni-Pd interface, where Ir sites offer optimal adsorption energy for O2 splitting and the Ni-Pd interface facilitates the subsequent desorption of hydroxide ions (OH-). A novel endfire antenna utilizing spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPP) and a traveling-wave feeding mechanism is introduced. The proposed endfire antenna operates in the millimeter-wave (mmW) band. The placement of a Vivaldi antenna at the front end of the SSPP endfire antenna allows for the efficient transmission of surface waves and the generation of an end-fire beam. The electromagnetic waves are coupled from the travelingwave feeding mechanism to the slot located between the Vivaldi antenna and the SSPP endfire antenna. Furthermore, we conducted a comparison between the effects of a standing-wave feeding mechanism and a traveling-wave feeding mechanism on the transmission performance and radiation pattern of the designed endfire antennas. The numerical analysis demonstrates that employing a traveling-wave feeding mechanism leads to a reduction of 63% in impedance bandwidth, while concurrently increasing the gain by 0.42dB. The ultimate configured antenna aperture measures 0.21λ0 × 0.02λ0, showcasing its low-profile attributes. © 2024 IEEE.

Developing upon open system architecture, Software-Defined Spacecraft, as a new generation of spacecraft, can support payload plug-and-play, application software loading as needed, and system function reconfiguration on demand. Therefore, the Software-Defined Spacecraft is able to solve the design and application limitations of traditional specific-designed spacecraft, making it become a significant developing trend of future spacecraft. Regarding to the software defined spacecraft bus, this paper analyzes the requirements for avionics system on the aspects of space field development, technology development and corresponding applications. At present, various electronic devices are used to monitor human heart rates. However, its functions are to avoid predicting the problems caused by heart rate variability in advance and analyzing its implications. It makes it difficult to diagnose problems caused by heart rate variability. A human should have an average heart rate of 72. At the same time, the newborn's heart should beat between 120 and 160 beats per minute. A baby born with autism spectrum disorder may have a lower-than-average heart rate. Complete blockage of the heart at birth is rare. Abnormal heart rate leads to heart block. So, there is a high chance of the child's death due to permanent heart blockage at any time. Most heart diseases in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are present at birth. A significant congenital disability is a hole in the heart. Many people do not realize that having holes in the heart is a common occurrence. Before the baby is born, tiny holes form in the muscular wall that divides the heart into the right and left halves. This paper proposed Machine Learning-Based Evaluation to identify the Heart Rate Variability Response in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The reasons for this are yet to be identified. However, 70 per cent of perforations resolve spontaneously before or after birth. Exceptionally, Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder with perforations that do not close properly may require surgery or a perforator brace, depending on the location and size of the perforation. © 2023 IEEE.

Uncontrollable dendrite growth and side reactions resulting in short operating life and low Coulombic efficiency have severely hindered the further development of aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs).In this work,we designed to grow zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)uniformly on CuO nanosheets(NSs)and prepared carbon-coated CuZn alloy NSs(CuZn@C NSs)by calcination under H2/Ar *** reflected by extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAFS),density functional theory(DFT),and in-situ Raman,the Cu-Zn and Zn-N bonds present in CuZn@C NSs act as zincophilic sites to uniformly absorb Zn ions and inhibit the formation of Zn *** the same time,CuZn@C NSs hinder the direct contact between zinc anode and electrolyte,preventing the occurrence of side *** impressively,the symmetric cells constructed with CuZn@C NSs anodes exhibited excellent zinc plating/exfoliation performance and long life cycle at different current densities with low voltage *** addition,low polarization,high capacity retention,and long cycle life over 1000 cycles at 5 A·g-1 were achieved when CuZn@C NSs were used as anodes for CuZn@C/V2O5 full cells.

Flexible transparent conductive films are gaining attention day by day over the last few years due to it is a key component of next generation flexible electronics and optoelectronic *** tin oxide(ITO)as one of the most widely used transparent conductive material is limited by the traditional deposition approach cannot be achieve ultra-thin,which results in its brittle ***,a novel strategy for fabricating highly transparent conductive films by liquid metal interface phase separation technique based on low-melting liquid metal of InxSn100-x alloy is reported,during the solid-to-liquid phase transition of alloy,the monolayer of surface oxide film segregated with the bulk phase and was printed on the flexible polyethylene-naphthalate(PEN)substrate under the van der *** novel strategy can directly print the ultra-thin self-oxide with the structure of ITO on PEN substrate,with the resulting of transparency over 97.5%and resistivity as low as 0.21 kU cm,providing a new way of lowcost raw ITO material as well as the personalized preparation *** desirable highly transparent conductive films are comparable to recently reported ITO film,together with advantages of pretty steady,make them attractive as various flexible transparent conductive electrodes,for example,an ultra-thin ITO film is developed for luminescent devices.

A breast cancer is known as one of the most dangerous disease of the death causes among aged 40-55 women. We need to develop a computer aided diagnosis system for breast cancer classification. In the previous study, the random forest of the ensemble learning method was reported to be one of promising classifiers for classifying breast cancers using a Wisconsin Diagnostic Breast Cancer(WDBC) dataset. Furthermore, we found the effectiveness of the random forest with recursive feature elimination(RFE) for breast cancer classification, compared to another ensemble learning methods, XGBoost and LightGBM(LGBM). The RFE is known as a feature selection method. In our experiments, however, there was no comparison with the feature extraction of principal component analysis(PCA). This paper presents the evaluation of feature extraction methods with ensemble learning for breast cancer classification on the WDBC dataset. © 2022 IEEE.
