Diabetes is a chronic disease caused due to metabolic disorder and management of diabetes can be understood by glucose- insulin dynamics. The mathematical models of differential equation describe the various aspects of diabetes, including glucose- insulin dynamics, management and complications of diabetes, parameter estimation and their effectiveness are growing day by day. Here, we discussed numerous mathematical models based on delay differential equation dealing with various aspects of diabetes and using parameter estimation techniques of the last few decades. Computer algorithms using the neural network and fuzzy logic for prediction of glucose concentration in blood, computational techniques, and analysis of models are also discuss. © 2024 IEEE.

In Additive Manufacturing (AM), the need for curved layer path planning and printing has emerged as a significant advancement beyond 2.5D printing, particularly for rotating components with overhang structures like propellers that require supports. However, existing slicing methods for cylindrical surfaces, both direct and parametrised, fall short of meeting the diverse filling pattern requirements of general rotating components, creating a process planning gap. Moreover, existing mapping-based process planning research primarily centres around metal printing utilising costly printing equipment, including robots or printers with more than four axes, rather than the affordable Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology. To address these challenges, this paper introduces an innovative surface-plane mapping-based cylindrical slicing strategy that utilises a triangle mesh model. This approach overcomes the limitations of costly equipment by leveraging low-cost three-axis FDM 3D printers with a rotary build platform. The proposed technique can generate cylindrical paths of various patterns such as line-arc-line, helix, circle-line-circle, and contours and offers the potential for supportless printing of rotating components with overhangs, which is not achievable with traditional bottom-up printing methods. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the cylindrical slicing method for printing propellers with different patterns. The findings provide process designers with an innovative slicing and supportless printing approach for rotating components with overhangs on a rotary economical 3D printer with three-axis, enabling improved geometric accuracy, reduced material waste, and enhanced mechanical performance in AM. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This work is focused on the exploration of the potential of Group IV alloy based nanostructured photodetector which can perform well in smart city environment. The theoretical model for multiple quantum well detector based on Germanium Tin (GeSn) alloy working in short wave infrared range (SWIR) is proposed after considering various design aspects. In this work, detectivity is estimated for SiGeSn/GeSn based interband multiple quantum well infrared photodetector. Detectivity is calculated by using responsivity and dark current, assuming appropriate conditions. After calculation, it is studied under variation of some important parameters. The result reveals the enhancement of detectivity with number of wells. It also indicates that the low biasing range is quite sufficient to make the proposed device work efficiently. Moreover, peak detectivity in the tune of 109 cm Hz1/2 W−1 is attained. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

Benefiting from the rapid advancements in Deep Learning (DL), data-driven features exhibit remarkable separability in PolSAR image classification. However, data-driven features are challenging to interpret and susceptible to resolution and noise. On the contrary, polarimetric features based on the target decomposition not only have high robustness, but also has physical interpretability. Consequently, researchers have begun to explore ways to integrate both types of features to achieve enhanced performance, which typically concat the data-driven features and polarimetric features directly. However, polarimetric features are not stable in separability, which is because the inherent defects of the target decomposition algorithm. To mitigate the adverse effects of low-quality features, this paper proposes a trusted polarimetric feature fusion (TPFF). The new paradigm calculates the confidence of features and employs a novel feature fusion method. The proposed method has been tested on the EMISAR Foulum dataset, with experimental results demonstrating improved classification performance and robustness. © 2023 IEEE.

The computational efficiency of dynamic method and its degree of computer automation are crucial to speedily solve the dynamic problems of complicated mechanical systems in practical engineering. Transfer matrix method for multibody systems (MSTMM) has been successfully applied in the dynamic analyses of many mechanical systems as a result of its high stylization and efficiency. The overall transfer equation of multibody system plays a vital role in MSTMM, and its automatic deduction is one of the salient features of high stylization. The key to deducing the system’s overall transfer equation is the deduction for its overall transfer matrix which is mainly composed of elements’ transfer and geometrical matrices. In this study, the symbolic expression consisting of the sequence numbers of elements and their input points is put forward to represent elements’ transfer and geometrical matrices, and it is described by the class TransferMatrix in computer. The class MainTM is designed to represent the system’s main transfer and geometrical matrices, which together compose the system’s overall transfer matrix. The symbolic deduction for the overall transfer matrix by computer is achieved through the operator overloading in object-oriented technology. A numerical example is performed to validate the proposed method. The present study lays a foundation for developing the dynamic analysis software for mechanical systems based on the theory of MSTMM. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

An endfire antenna is developed in this work. A step structure fed from the middle layer to the aperture is formed in the multilayer substrate. The lengths of the steps are approximately a quarter wavelength in the substrate to operate as an impedance transformer. The lengths of the steps are optimized to match over wide frequency bandwidth. The matching characteristics and the radiation performances are presented in this paper. © 2024 IEEE.

The integration of 3D printing with smart materials in 4D printing technology has attracted extensive research attention due to its capability of endowing static printed structures with dynamic behaviors and actions that evolve over time. One such promising smart material is liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs), which offer excellent reversible actuation performance and programmable anisotropy. However, the field of LCEs-based 4D printing faces challenges in achieving sufficient mechanical performance due to their low elastic modulus, which hinders their ability to handle tasks requiring relatively high load-bearing capacity. Moreover, there are also challenges related to their complex actuation environments, which further restrict the applications based on LCEs. In this work, we propose a paradigm for designing and manufacturing electrically-controlled soft actuators capable of reversible deformation and adjustable stiffness. Specifically, we integrate LCEs with continuous fiber-reinforced polymer composites (CFRP) and elastomeric materials into a multilayer sandwich structure. By combining CFRP, we significantly enhance the stiffness of the actuators without compromising their flexibility and adaptability. Furthermore, the inclusion of continuous carbon fibers (CCF) enables electrical control of the actuators. Finally, by incorporating pre-stretched elastomeric materials, we fabricate an electrically-controlled actuator with excellent mechanical performance and reversible actuation capabilities. As a demonstration, we create an intelligent soft gripper with outstanding mechanical performance and reversible actuation, exhibiting high load-bearing capacity and shape adaptability. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

This research focuses on the review of Fintech and its development on the IoT Platform and also the risks that can be posed to the IoT network used. Finance is the most essential side of several other sectors which in this case often experience many losses, one of the biggest losses is the existence of hackers and theft of money through the Internet platform or Internet Server. This research reviews how the ins and outs of the flow of funds located on servers or online banks. And ways to overcome hackers and bypass data. Comprehensively reviewed in this research review. This research discusses Cryptocurrency Analysis, Bitcoin, and Ethereum Comparison which are some of the methods used in online-based Finance, which is without currency but has the same value even more than currency if the conversion process is carried out at the bank. In this research, it is comprehensively discussed how methods are carried out in the process of securing data, Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and Ethereum are comprehensively discussed to get a lot of data and comparisons and the right steps to deal with crime via the internet. The predicted use of IoT in the Fintech sector is 140 billion connected devices, IoT Loans 110 billion connected devices, and IoT insurance with an estimated 90 billion connected devices, in the approaching 2026. © 2024 IEEE.

A 3-Gsymbol/s/lane high-speed receiver is proposed for the mobile industry processor interface (MIPI) C-PHY. The proposed MIPI C-PHY receiver consists of high-speed receivers, level dependent elastic buffers (LDEBs), a clock recovery, and data samplers. To improve the bandwidth of level-dependent equalization using decision feedback, the proposed MIPI C-PHY receiver uses a feed-forward LDEB. The MIPI C-PHY receiver chip with three lanes was fabricated by using a 40nm CMOS process with a 1.1-V supply. The power consumption of the MIPI C-PHY receiver is 3.7 mW/Gsymbol/s/lane and the area of the receiver per lane is 400μm × 140μm. The peak-to-peak time jitter of the received data and the recovered clock measured at a symbol rate of 3 Gsymbol/s/lane is 140 ps and 92 ps, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Microservices is an organizational approach for the development of software, in which programs are subdivided into smaller independent services. Application Programming Interface also known as API, is an interface that allows two programs to communicate with each other. Whenever you operate an app like Facebook, send an urgent message, or check the weather on your phone, you are using an application working with APIs. Nowadays, special styles of computing mechanisms which provide in-depth services inclusive of mechanical, aerospace, civil and environmental engineering, packages are regularly deployed on the cloud. As it offers a handy on-call version for renting sources and clean-to-use flexible infrastructures, these are a part of API. The main advantage of the usage of microservices is the capability to provide security for network-segregated web applications. Microservice architecture is used in an application to design a modular layout, whereby every microservice has single, unique functionality and can be independently controlled and deployed. The overall study comprises the experiences of various authors regarding the vulnerabilities in microservices and APIs. The prime motive is to attain enough knowledge about all the security concerns related to APIs and microservices. © 2023 IEEE.
