The LS-STAG immersed boundary cut-cell method modification for viscoelastic flow computations is presented. Rate type viscoelastic flow models (linear and quasilinear) are considered. Rate type viscoelastic flow models (linear and quasilinear) are considered. The obtained numerical method is implemented in the LS-STAG software package developed by the author. This software allows to simulate viscous incompressible flows by using the LS-STAG method and it modifications. The LS-STAG-discretization of extra-stress equations for viscoelastic Maxwell, Jeffreys, upper-convected Maxwell, Maxwell-A, Oldroyd-B, Oldroyd-A, Johnson Segalman fluids was developed. Formulae for differential types of convected time derivatives (Oldroyd, Cotter-Rivlin, Jaumann-Zaremba-Noll derivatives) the LS-STAG discretization was obtained. Normal non-newtonian stresses are computed at the centers of base LS-STAG mesh cells and shear non-newtonian stresses are computed at the cell corners. Time-stepping algorithm is based on the first order predictor-corrector scheme. To validate developed numerical method the test problem about viscoelastic Oldroyd-B flow past a circular airfoil was used. Computational experiments were carried out at Weissenberg number in the range from 0 to 4. The computed values of the drag coefficients and the wake length are in good agreement with the experimental data. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Integrating electrophysiological signals in larger systems is getting wider due to the fact that such modalities facilitate the daily tasks of users. However, the high cost of monitoring systems (e.g., oscilloscopes) limits the testing and analysis of the acquired signal from such noisy systems (i. e., electrophysiological devices). The proposed system is a part of a larger proj ect that deals with the identification of sign language movements through the use of Muscle-Computer Interfaces. On one hand, the user is able to display the signal acquired by the electrodes on an LCD screen. On the other hand, the system helps a mute patient to issue a special message to his surrounding environment that does not know the sign language to ask for help. The second feature is not unique, as it can be replaced by any other application based on the user's needs. The system was tested on several persons, and the results are promising. © 2022 IEEE.

The paper addresses the problem of assessing media text readability depending on the correlation of objective and subjective text complexity. Objective text complexity refers to a set of measurable characteristics such as baseline, morphological, syntactic and lexical characteristics of a media text (a piece of news published on university websites), which is calculated automatically for each text. In total, 34 parameters are considered. Subjective text complexity score is assigned to each text by human experts who assess the clarity, structure, cohesion and coherence of the text. The correlation between subjective and objective text complexity is studied using machine learning models. The readability level is measured using machine learning methods and regression-correlation analysis. Namely, an artificial neural network and regression models are used. It is demonstrated that the use of polynomial features and lasso regularization allows to get a compact regression model of a high quality. The use of the chosen machine learning techniques made it possible to estimate the impact of distinct linguistic features on the readability level. © 2023 IEEE.

Data flow processing is a common task of embedded systems which is usually modeled as a pipeline. Errors in a block of this pipeline can be propagated through it thus leading to unexpected and erroneous behaviors. For safety related applications, this pipeline has to be able to identify and react to failures. The DMOSES model-driven development method uses deterministic UML activities to describe and implement data flow processing. This method ensures deterministic behavior of concurrent processing. Design by Contract defines formal, precise and verifiable interfaces for software components. We propose a development method for safe data flow processing based on the integration of this concept in deterministic UML activities. This integration allows the identification of errors by detection of contracts violation. This paper presents an extension of the DMOSES tool for contracts verification at the model level and their monitoring at runtime.

To search for new technical solutions when designing color measuring systems, we need a design object, i.e. to divide color measuring device into fragments, and solutions are sought for these fragments separately. At the first level of the partition, the color measuring device is divided into four main structural parts: the lighting, dispersing, electronic recording and computing devices.

The problem of data entry in mobile devices is considered. The shortcomings of virtual projected keyboards are analyzed. The new input technology called VKF (Virtual Keyboard and Fingers) is offered. It is shown that VKF is more convenient not only in comparison with projected virtual keyboards, but also with data entry methods including use of on-screen keyboards.

Scientific and scientific-technical information is a valuable tool for the development of education, technology and society as a whole. The increase in the volume of information and the development of information networks of data exchange requires special means to ensure information protection of data. Methods, means and systems for information security of scientific, technical and scientific-educational resources in intellectual information systems are of particular importance. The purpose of the research is to develop methods and software tools to ensure information security of valuable scientific and technical information resources in intelligent information systems. The proposed solution for intrusion detection in intelligent system is a web application firewall, which is used for enhanced security, detecting and preventing attacks before they reach the web application. It will protect the system from a whole range of attacks while allowing HTTP traffic monitoring and analyzing small changes or persistent state online. The Web Application Firewall (WAF) has the following features: logging of all HTTP protocol transactions, including request termination permissions and logging of the response;HTTP traffic can be examined in real time to detect attacks;preventing attacks before they reach the web application. Visually impaired people encounter several challenges in their mobility and navigation. Their daily activities are obstructed due to their inability to adapt or recognize accurately their surroundings, especially outside their house which they are more familiar with. Thus, it becomes the main reason of accidents, falling off, getting lost in unknown areas, etc. Furthermore, one of the sensory systems that helps the body to process data about the external environment is the visual system. Blind people also lose touch with the outside world, develops poor motor habits, which results in postural problems as a result. This project will assist visually impaired people in their daily life and simplify normal tasks through a system combining two previously designed projects, 'Smart Shoes for Blind and Visually Impaired People', and 'Human posture monitoring device'. The multifunctional system is developed with the goal of securing safe movements for visually impaired people as well as maintaining a good back posture by detecting leaning postures (LP). The purpose of the smart shoe is to identify obstacles and protect the user from unintended accidents. A compatible Android application has been developed to alert the user when there is an obstruction or when he is walking on a wet surface. Voice alarms will be used to acoustically alert the user. If the user collapses, a message with their position will be sent right away to a relative. On the other hand, the smart vest will identify the position of the user's back and alert him to maintain a straight posture through the same application as well. As the system is dealing with human health, some safety measurements would be taken into consideration to implement a safe electrical system in order to reduce error and to increase accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

The paper presents the development trends of the modern higher education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the concept of the use of virtual reality in the education system, the comparative characteristics of the classical higher education system with the education system using virtual reality, which leads to greater efficiency at low cost. The development of a virtual laboratory, made at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, on the Unity platform using the example of Arduino Uno, is given.
