In this paper,we conduct analysis on the development trend of urban green space planning from the perspective of urban agglomeration *** evaluation system of urban green space ecosystem function comprehensively evaluates and synthesizes some research that results from many angles and *** evaluation system relies on the objective statistical data and the subjective investigation and analysis as *** involves forestry,ecology,biology,statistics,environmental protection,urban planning and other aspects and the indicators cover the traditional evaluation of the contents of the general quantitative indicators,quality indicators,structural indicators and functional *** on the theory of organic evolution,the urban green space system is planned,constructed and managed,and the positive evolution of the urban green space system is completed through the coordination of the structural mechanism of the six internal mechanisms and coordination of the internal and external *** paper proposes the novel perspective on the analysis of the challenge which will promote the further development.

This paper presents the construction of the modern urban green space planning evaluation system based on SVM-AHP. At present, the research of urban green space is more concerned with the evaluation of ecological functions and ecosystem services of urban green space, and there are more mature methods and practice cases. With increase of environmental pressures brought about by urbanization, various environmental stresses pose a potential risk to the health of urban green space, directly reduce the green space ecosystem services, urban green space's health evaluation and risk assessment are increasingly brought to the attention of the people. With the integration of the SVM and AHP, this paper presents the novel idea on the issues that will promote the further development.

In this paper, the problem of training federated learning (FL) algorithms over a realistic wireless network is studied. In particular, in the considered model, wireless users execute an FL algorithm while training their local FL models using their own data and transmitting the trained local FL models to a base station (BS) that will generate a global FL model and send it back to the users. Since all training parameters are transmitted over wireless links, the quality of the training will be affected by wireless factors such as packet errors and the availability of wireless resources. Meanwhile, due to the limited wireless bandwidth, the BS must select an appropriate subset of users to execute the FL algorithm so as to build a global FL model accurately. This joint learning, wireless resource allocation, and user selection problem is formulated as an optimization problem whose goal is to minimize an FL loss function that captures the performance of the FL algorithm. To address this problem, a closed-form expression for the expected convergence rate of the FL algorithm is first derived to quantify the impact of wireless factors on FL. Then, based on the expected convergence rate of the FL algorithm, the optimal transmit power for each user is derived, under a given user selection and uplink resource block (RB) allocation scheme. Finally, the user selection and uplink RB allocation is optimized so as to minimize the FL loss function. Simulation results show that the proposed joint federated learning and communication framework can reduce the FL loss function value by up to 10% and 16%, respectively, compared to: 1) An optimal user selection algorithm with random resource allocation and 2) a standard FL algorithm with random user selection and resource allocation. Federated Echo State Learning for Minimizing Breaks in Presence in Wireless Virtual Reality Networks

In this paper, the problem of enhancing the virtual reality (VR) experience for wireless users is investigated by minimizing the occurrence of breaks in presence (BIP) that can detach the users from their virtual world. To measure the BIP for wireless VR users, a novel model that jointly considers the VR application type, transmission delay, VR video quality, and users’ awareness of the virtual environment is proposed. In the developed model, the base stations (BSs) transmit VR videos to the wireless VR users using directional transmission links so as to provide high data rates for the VR users, thus, reducing the number of BIP for each user. Since the body movements of a VR user may result in a blockage of its wireless link, the location and orientation of VR users must also be considered when minimizing BIP. The BIP minimization problem is formulated as an optimization problem which jointly considers the predictions of users’ locations, orientations, and their BS association. To predict the orientation and locations of VR users, a distributed learning algorithm based on the machine learning framework of deep (ESNs) is proposed. The proposed algorithm uses concept from federated learning to enable multiple BSs to locally train their deep ESNs using their collected data and cooperatively build a learning model to predict the entire users’ locations and orientations. Using these predictions, the user association policy that minimizes BIP is derived. Simulation results demonstrate that the developed algorithm reduces the users’ BIP by up to 16% and 26%, respectively, compared to centralized ESN and deep learning algorithms. Autonomous systems are able to make decisions and potentially take actions without direct human intervention, which requires some knowledge about the system and its environment as well as goal-oriented reasoning. In computer systems, one can derive such behavior from the concept of a rational agent with autonomy (“control over its own actions”), reactivity (“react to events from the environment”), proactivity (“act on its own initiative”), and sociality (“interact with other agents”) as fundamental properties \n[1]\n. Autonomous systems will undoubtedly pervade into our everyday lives, and we will find them in a variety of domains and applications including robotics, transportation, health care, communications, and entertainment to name a few. \nThe articles in this month’s special issue cover concepts and fundamentals, architectures and techniques, and applications and case studies in the exciting area of self-awareness in autonomous systems.

Non-orthogonal multiple access schemes with higher spectral efficiency and the capability of accessing more users than orthogonal multiple access (OMA) scheme is preferred for the fifth generation (5G) wireless networks. In this work, a non-orthogonal transmission scheme called pattern division multiple access (PDMA) is proposed for the 5G wireless communication systems. Two pattern matrices are proposed for 150% and 200% overloaded PDMA systems. Then, a low complexity symbol-wise belief propagation iterative detection and decoding (BPIDD) algorithm for multiple user detection is proposed. Numerical results and analysis provided by utilizing extrinsic information transfer chart show that the proposed scheme outperforms the traditional OMA systems significantly, and the performance of the proposed scheme is better than that of the existing schemes up to 1 dB. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed scheme is superior to the existing schemes and the proposed BPIDD algorithm is better than that of the BP algorithm over 0.5 dB.

This paper focuses on the latest version of a tool developed within the department to guide developer through the various steps of requirements, test-procedures and documentations to finally download the derived algorithm on a safety programmable logic controller (PLC). Requirements on how to develop and how to test software are steadily increasing due to international standards, which have to be obeyed in industries in general, and in the process- and automation industries in particular. A simple model is derived to be used to develop a PI controller that has to pass several steps to be qualified for execution on a PLC. The paper explains the different steps and describes the various problems that might occur. © 2016

The software reliability represents one of the most crucial aspects of functional safety. Software is used in almost any electronic systems. When a safety-critical system is considered, it has to be ensured that the software is able to fulfil the minimum safety requirements. If this is not the case, the software will have to be improved until the minimum requirements are fulfilled. Reliability growth models are used to determine the reliability of software. Depending on the area of application one specific model can deliver better prognosis results than another. This paper serves to introduce a methodology, which is provided for the purpose of selecting the most appropriate model.

Modular Fault Diagnosis in Fixed-Block Railway Signaling systems

The diagnosis of possible faults in railway signaling systems is an important issue to provide safe travel and transportation in railways. Signaling system designers have to consider the possible faults which may occur in railway field components both on the requirements preparation phase and on the development phase of the signaling system software or namely, the interlocking system. Although the diagnosis of different unobservable faults is relatively hard, especially for large scale railway fields, this complexity can be overcome by using the Discrete Event system (DES) based modular diagnosis approach which is explained in this paper. The main advantage of using such modular approach for fault diagnosis in fixed-block signaling systems is the inspection of the diagnosability of the whole system with respect to its subsystems (railway field components). In this study, the diagnosability of the railway field equipment and the whole system is also explained with a case study. © 2016
