PRINCE is a 64-bit lightweight block cipher with a 128-bit key published at ASIACRYPT 2012. Assuming one nibble fault is injected, previous different fault analysis(DFA) on PRINCE adopted the technique from DFA on AES and current results are different. This paper aims to make a comprehensive study of algebraic fault analysis(AFA) on PRINCE. How to build the equations for PRINCE and faults are explained. Extensive experiments are conducted. Under nibble-based fault model, AFA with three or four fault injections can succeed within 300 seconds with a very high probability. Under other fault models such as byte-based, half word-based, word-based fault models, the faults become overlapped in the last round and previous DFAs are difficult to work. Our results show that AFA can still succeed to recover the full master key. To evaluate security of PRINCE against fault attacks, we utilize AFA to calculate the reduced entropy of the secret key for given amount of fault injections. The results can interpret and compare the efficiency of previous work. Under nibble-based fault model, the master key of PRINCE can be reduced to 29.69 and 236.10 with 3 and 2 fault injections on average, respectively.

Distribution system (DS) reliability has the greatest impact on customer service availability. Enhancing the reliability level of a DS is a costly task, thus, determining an efficient and economical target levels for reliability indices is of high importance. To achieve this goal, this paper proposes a comprehensive Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) based method (DBM). DBM integrates the effect of technical factors in the target determination process for the level of reliability indices in addition to including the conventional average method as one of its steps. By introducing a reliability–cost curve, DBM becomes capable of setting reliability targets based on the practical effect of investment in the system. Furthermore, this feature enables the estimation of the additional investment required to meet the targets. The results indicate the superiority of the proposed method in comparison with the conventional average method from the economic aspect and show the value of integrating the technical factors into it. The determined reliability targets are at least 2.85 % more cost-efficient and technically sounder for the feeders with a high value of reliability. The proposed method, due to its general features, can be applied in the benchmarking of other engineeringsystems where similar units are being operated and a relation between the unit’s inputs and outputs can be established.

An effective and constructive approach for implementing the so-called column-pseudoproper right matrix fraction descriptions defined by Tan and Vandewalle with cascaded or parallel active RC networks is presented. The resulting structure contains m sets of decoupled RC-voltage amplifier networks in a cascaded form or in a parallel form, for structuring accessible intermediate states. A state-feedback control law is applied around the auxiliary network for the realization of the desired overall voltage matrix fraction descriptions. The proposed cascaded and parallel RC networks have shown good sensitivity and stability properties.

Two-dimensional (2D) materials have long been considered as ideal platforms for developing separation membranes. However, it is difficult to generate uniform subnanometer pores over large areas on 2D materials. We report that the well-defined eight-membered ring (8-MR) pores, typically formed at the boundaries of two antiparallel grains of monolayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), can serve as molecular sieves for efficient water-ion separation. The density of grain boundaries and, consequently, the number of 8-MR pores can be tuned by regulating the grain size. Optimized MoS2 membranes outperformed the state-of-the-art membranes in forward osmosis tests by demonstrating both ultrahigh water/sodium chloride selectivity and exceptional water permeance. Creating precise pore structures on atomically thin films through grain boundary engineering presents a promising route for producing membranes suitable for various applications.

The aim of this paper is to solve the problems of multitarget tracking in clutter. Firstly, the data association of measurement-to-target is formulated as an integer programming problem. Through using the linear programming (LP) based branchand-bound method and adjusting the constraint conditions, an optimal set integer programming (OSIP) algorithm is then proposed for tracking multiple non-maneuvering targets in clutter. For the case of maneuvering targets, this paper introduces the OSIP algorithm into the filtering step of the interacting multiple model (IMM) algorithm resulting in the IMM based on OSIP algorithm. Extensive Monte Carlo simulations show that the presented algorithms can obtain superior estimations even in the case of high density noises.
