A Pango FPGA-based solution for merging and processing multiple independent video streams and reconstructing a real-time display system is presented. The system handles each video stream individually, then produces a combined video output in HDMI format. To ensure high efficiency and low latency, a parallel processing scheme and a hardware-oriented architecture are employed. The Pango PG50K FPGA board acts as the central hardware for managing inputs, reconstructing video, and producing outputs. Rapid-access DDR3-SDRAM ensures efficient data caching and signal integrity. This system is ideal for applications requiring rapid response, such as traffic monitoring and industrial automation, and supports quick algorithm iteration and optimization, enhancing performance and adaptability.

This article aims to propose an algorithm for operating a robot gyroscope application. A gyroscope, an instrument for measuring and maintaining direction, utilizes the concept of angular momentum. The hardware architecture utilizes the GY-85 sensor modules, the ESP-32, and the OLED to accomplish communication with other linked devices. I will refer to it as the 3D gyroscope. It is possible for this gadget to function in conjunction with any kind of gyroscope or robot of any kind. For determining the values of acceleration and gravity, the application makes use of the x, y, and z axes. To communication between the devices, the algorithm makes use of the Modbus protocol for communication between the devices. You can use LabView to develop a testable gyroscope application. We rotated the constructed three-dimensional gyroscope at angles of 0 degrees, 45 degrees, and -45 degrees along the x, y, and z axes to test the results. The rotating process produced a multi-perspective, three-dimensional presentation of the constructed or developed device. Theta values in the x, y, and z axes that come from the experimental findings for angles of 45, -45, and 0 are extremely accurate.

Fast On board On orbit Servicing Task Planning for GEO Targets

Based on the auction algorithm and prior knowledge, a novel improved heuristic auction algorithm (IHAA) is proposed to solve the many-to-many on orbit service mission planning problem in geosynchronous orbit (GEO). Firstly, a representation of the on orbit servicing planning problem based on Lambert transfer is established, and a fast fuel optimal estimation strategy is designed for one to one servicing. Secondly, for the mission planning problem considering J 2 perturbation, a fast solution process is proposed based on auction algorithm. Specifically, to determine the task list of each round in the auction algorithm, a heuristic strategy of target priority ranking based on prior knowledge of Lambert transfer is proposed, which helps determine the order of tasks. In addition, in order to reduce the possibility of allocation failure due to the low servicing capacity of some spacecraft, a re auction mechanism based on the redistribution of failed tasks is also added. Finally, the proposed algorithm is compared with the genetic algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm, the results show that IHAA can quickly give relatively high fitness planning results, and can be used for on board mission planning in the face of emergencies or provide initial value of the optimization algorithm to improve the planning efficiency. © 2022 China Spaceflight Society. This paper models a platooning system consisting of trucks and a third-party service provider (TPSP), which performs platoon coordination, distributes the platooning profit in platoons, and charges trucks in exchange for the services. Government subsidies used to incentivize platooning are also considered. We propose a pricing rule for the TPSP, which keeps part of the platooning profit including the subsidy each time a platoon is formed. In addition, a platoon coordination solution based on the distributed model predictive control (MPC) is proposed, in which the pricing rule under government subsidies is integrated. We perform a realistic simulation over the Swedish road network to evaluate the impact of the pricing rule and subsidies on the achieved profits and fuel savings. Our results show that subsidies are an effective mean to boost fuel savings from platooning. Moreover, the simulation study indicates that high pricing corresponds to a low platooning rate of the system, as trucks' incentives for platooning decrease. © 2023 The Authors. The industrial world is shifting from mass production to meeting individual needs, requiring guidelines to incorporate emotions and preferences. Traditional questionnaires fall short in capturing detailed real-time emotion changes. Therefore, we propose a novel approach using Electroencephalography(EEG), which reflects central nervous system activity, and heart rate variability(HRV), which reflects autonomic nervous system activity, to estimate emotions in real-time by analyzing arousal and valence. Based on the 2D Arousal-Valence model, we plot EEG and HRV data onto this model to visualize emotion changes caused by external stimuli. Using this proposed method, we conducted joint research with the home and personal care sector to evaluate emotional responses to aroma products, and with the automotive sector to assess drivers' emotional states. These studies demonstrate the value of academic research in guiding the industrial sector, particularly through emotion estimation based on EEG and HRV. Our findings suggest that these technologies offer valuable insights into consumer emotions, which can help improve product design and user experience. Ongoing collaboration between academia and the industrial sector is crucial for overcoming challenges in interpreting physiological signals and effectively integrating these methods into practice.

This paper presents designs for ultra-high-frequency (UHF) electromagnetic sensors based on printed circuit board (PCB) antennas for partial discharge (PD) detection in gas-insulated substations (GIS) applications. The sensors were designed to meet the requirement of narrowband/wideband UHF measuring systems for the UHF PD detection in GIS. The PD signals in the physical characteristic of the high-frequency electromagnetic (EM) wave were detected using the designed UHF antennas, which include the inset-fed rectangular microstrip patch (IFRMP) antennas, known for their narrowband characteristics that offer high interference signal rejection to improve signal-to-noise ratio and the two arm Archimedean spiral (TAAS) antennas, recognized for their broadband frequency spectrum capability. Because UHF PD signals are typically detected using various field sensor designs, both IFRMP and TAAS antennas were designed for three different models under calculation and simulation using MATLAB to apply in different operating frequency bands within the UHF range of PD detection (300 MHz-3 GHz). The designed UHF antennas have very characteristics, i.e. portable, lightweight, and attractive for practical applications with a low fabrication cost. Additionally, they are more convenient to install on the insulating flange compared to some types of external antenna sensors. In terms of antenna performance, they exhibit parameters like return loss (parameter S11) less than -10 dB and voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) less than 2 within a close range of the designed operating frequency. Using the designed antennas, the phase-resolved PD (PRPD) patterns, the statistical magnitudes and waveforms of detected UHF signal have been obtained from laboratory testing for the sensitivity verification to help users in the effective application of the UHF PD detection.

The quotient of two multivariate Gaussian densities can be written as an unnormalized Gaussian density, which has been applied in some recently developed multiple-model fixed-interval smoothing algorithms. However, this expression is invalid if instead of being positive definite, the covariance of the unnormalized Gaussian density is indefinite (i.e., it has both positive and negative eigenvalues) or undefined (i.e., computing it requires inverting a singular matrix). This paper considers approximating the quotient of two Gaussian densities in this case using two different approaches to mitigate the caused numerical problems. The first approach directly replaces the indefinite covariance of the unnormalized Gaussian density with a positive definite matrix nearest to it. The second approach computes the approximation through solving, using the natural gradient, an optimization problem with a Kullback-Leibler divergence-based cost function. This paper illustrates the application of the theoretical results by incorporating them into an existing smoothing method for jump Markov systems and utilizing the obtained smoothers to track a maneuvering target. © 2023 International Society of Information Fusion.

Security-Constrained Unit Commitment (SCUC) stands as a critical challenge within power systems. With the continual expansion of power networks, SCUC encounters substantial hurdles in terms of computational time. In practical scenarios, given the imperative of electricity market clearance, this dilemma necessitates frequent resolution throughout the day despite minor alterations in input data. In this study, leveraging machine learning techniques, we present an approach aimed at harnessing previous data effectively to forecast active constraints, thus expediting solutions to the SCUC problem. We introduce a novel methodology for generating training data to predict the active transmission constraint set, ensuring the trained model achieves full prediction coverage. Through extensive computational simulations, our approach demonstrates a remarkable acceleration in computation speed, achieving up to 8 times the efficiency in large-scale scenarios.
