This paper has demonstrated the high efficient net gain and low noise figure based vertical cavity semiconductor light amplifiers for wavelength division multiplexing applications. Previous study on the chip reflective gain variations versus SOA current under temperature effects is clarified. We have transferred light semiconductor amplifiers for wavelength multiplexing schemes applications. Amplifier output power is demonstrated with bias current and amplifier active layer region length variations based input signal power of 3, 6.5, 10 dBm, 1550 nm wavelength and optimum amplifier confinement factor of 0.45. The amplifier output noise variations are clarified against the bias current and amplifier active layer region width variations based input signal power of 3, 6.5, 10 dBm, 1550 nm wavelength and optimum amplifier confinement factor of 0.45. The output OSNR variations are studied clearly and deeply against the bias current and amplifier active layer region length variations based input signal power of 3, 6.5, 10 dBm, 1550 nm wavelength and optimum amplifier confinement factor of 0.45. The signal loss is demonstrated versus both active layer width/length and temperature based optimum 30 % gallium core dopant ratio and 28 % arsenide cladding dopant ratio at optimum input signal power of 10 dBm, 1550 nm wavelength and optimum amplifier confinement factor of 0.45. SOA amplifier output power can be enhance with the management of both bias current and input signal power and the reduction of active amplifier length. Potentially, with the aid of computing devices Intelligent Refrigerators can be accessed from anywhere and anytime. In Intelligent Refrigerators,a single tap on the computing devices predicts the quality of food items kept in the refrigerator. Besides, in order to work smartly, intelligent IoT devices deployed in intelligent refrigerators predict food quality anonymously using machine learningtechniques. The HVAC system, energy storage building, distributed power supply, and other equipment are integrated into the scheduling algorithm, which is aimed at reducing household electricity consumption. It is also assumed that users can provide energy to the grid according to their own conditions. Taking electricity cost and comfort level as optimization targets, a home energy optimization control model for the coordinated management of hybrid energy sources is built. A smart scheduling mechanism based on the improved adaptive particle swarm optimization approach is proposed in order to derive the best time intervals for electric appliances, necessary power for the control of the room temperature for every time frame, and power for charging and discharging of the storage battery at various moments. Simulation results show that through the incorporation of distributed photovoltaic power generation, backup storage by battery, and home energy optimization control, the system efficiently balances between user comfort and electricity consumption. This offers great technical support to the development of home energy management systems. By using time-of-use electricity price for energy acquisition and supply, the optimization control goal is minimizing both power use and cost as well as preserving comfort levels. The hybrid energy management's proposed home energy optimization control model uses an adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm to find the optimal operation schedules of the electrical appliances, the required power for temperature control in a room, and the charge/discharge power level of the storage battery at each time interval. As per the optimization principle, the proposed dynamic programming algorithm converts the multi-stage problem into a sequence of single-stage problems and solves them separately. Semantic food segmentation is an important task for the development of nutritional systems that effectively manage daily diets. Recent advances in semantic segmentation have brought great performance improvements. However, these methods require high computational resources that limit their use in a mobile application without relying on external servers to perform the segmentation. Lightweight Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have emerged as an efficient alternative for deploying deep network-based models on mobile devices, a solution not yet applied to semantic food segmentation. In this paper, we propose a lightweight variant of DeepLabv3+, replacing the standard backbone with the lightweight CNN EfficientNet-B1 and the Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling (ASPP) with the Cascade Waterfall ASPP (CWASPP). Validation of the proposed lightweight DeepLabv3+ method, in terms of mIoU, parameters and FLOPs, was performed on two public food datasets: UNIMIB2016 and UECFoodPixComplete. The experimental results show a better tradeoff between segmentation performance and computational resources than the state-of-art methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Recognition of cursive handwritten text from photographs is a method for finding handwritten text. Identification is difficult because every author has a distinctive writing style. The proposed work uses cutting-edge technologies including RNN, KNN, MLP, and CRNN twith VGG16 to push the boundaries of character and handwriting recognition. Additionally, it compares neural networks to CNNwith VGG16 and finds that neural networks are more accurate. In the first stage, image acquisition, the scanned image is acquired along with its normalization, feature extraction, and segmentation. Additionally, it combines with the most effective feature extraction technique to improve the accuracy of our model. It also compares the accuracy with six uniquepretreat. approach, which are image segmentation image data generator data augmentation closed loop pre-processing, sigmoid Stretching and geometric *** provides the highest accuracy (98.36%) when using data augmentation. CNN has the highest accuracy (95.25%) when using picture segmentation. The third experiment's results for the image data generator show that CNN produced the best results (92.47%), while the highest model, RNN, gave closed loop processing accuracy of 92.20%. a change in geometry KNN has the highest accuracy at 95.39%. © 2023 IEEE.

Due to the recent expansion in the generations of the communications systems, it is utmost priority to transmit a large amount of data over a wideband frequency spectrum. For this single ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas are the prime choice as compared to the multiple narrow band antennas. A modified pentagonal fractal patch antenna with a modified ground plane covering ultra-wideband has been proposed. The antenna has a compact size of 25 mm × 25 mm × 1.6 mm with peak gain of 2.2 dB. The UWB coverage of the design is achieved by implementing modified co-planar ground, modified fractal geometry and coplanar feed. The proposed design possesses the significant resonance and radiation performance with very compact size on low-cost substrate while covering the whole UWB. Finally, the simulated resonating and radiation characteristics have been validated with the measured characteristics of the fabricated prototype and the results are quite promising. © 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

Distributed deep learning (DDL) training systems are designed for cloud and data-center environments that assumes homogeneous compute resources, high network bandwidth, sufficient memory and storage, a s w ell a s independent and identically distributed (IID) data across all nodes. However, these assumptions don't necessarily apply on the edge, especially when training neural networks on streaming data in an online manner. computing on the edge suffers from both systems and statistical heterogeneity. systems heterogeneity is attributed to differences in compute resources and bandwidth specific to each device, while statistical heterogeneity comes from unbalanced and skewed data on the edge. Different streaming-rates among devices can be another source of heterogeneity when dealing with streaming data. If the streaming rate is lower than training batch-size, device needs to wait until enough samples have streamed in before performing a single iteration of stochastic gradient descent (SGD). Thus, low-volume streams act like stragglers slowing down devices with high-volume streams in synchronous training. On the other hand, data can accumulate quickly in the buffer if the streaming rate is too high and the devices can't train at line-rate. In this paper, we introduce ScaDLES to efficiently train on streaming data at the edge in an online fashion, while also addressing the challenges of limited bandwidth and training with non-IID data. We empirically show that ScaDLES converges up to 3.29× faster compared to conventional distributed SGD. © 2022 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (IoT) and other recent advancements in communication and information technology have profoundly impacted and enhanced people's quality of life. IoT systems are vulnerable to previously unanticipated cyber threats such as denial of service, jamming, phishing, obfuscations eavesdropping, spoofing and invasions because of the widespread availability and rising demand for connected devices. The emerging cyber-physical security problem is difficult to avoid and guard against using conventional methods. Securing IoT systems calls for robust, dynamic, and current security mechanisms. When addressing emerging security concerns in cyber-physical systems (CPS), machine learning (ML) technology is often regarded as the most cutting- edge and promising option. This literature review explains how IoTs are built, looks into the many threats they face, and discusses the most up-to-date efforts being made to ensure their security using machine learning. Image encryption has attracted much interest as a robust security solution for preventing unauthorized access to critical image *** picture encryption is a crucial step in many cloud-based and healthcare *** this study,a strong cryptosystem based on a 2D chaotic map and Jigsaw transformation is presented for the encryption of medical photos in private Internet of Medical Things(IoMT)and cloud storage.A disorganized three-dimensional map is the foundation of the proposed *** dispersion of pixel values and the permutation of their places in this map are accomplished using a nonlinear encoding *** suggested cryptosystem enhances the security of the delivered medical images by performing many *** validate the efficiency of the recommended cryptosystem,various medical image kinds are used,each with its unique *** measures are used to evaluate the proposed cryptosystem,which all support its robust *** simulation results confirm the supplied cryptosystem’s ***,it provides strong robustness and suggested protection standards for cloud service applications,healthcare,and *** is seen that the proposed 3D chaotic cryptosystem obtains an average entropy of 7.9998,which is near its most excellent value of 8,and a typical NPCR value of 99.62%,which is also near its extreme value of 99.60%.Moreover,the recommended cryptosystem outperforms conventional security systems across the test assessment criteria.
