This paper presents the extension of the previously proposed method for multi-agent formation control based on potential function. The method derived for 2D space is extended to 3D. It has been shown that the control algorithm keeps all the properties of the original scheme in case of multi-agent formation moving in 3D. An adaptation mechanism that assures avoidance of unwanted stable equilibria, used in 2D, is implemented in the same form for 3D formations. The obtained simulation results demonstrate stable behavior of the system for various sets of parameters - the desired 3D formation is reached in finite time and maintained during trajectory execution.

In this paper, we describe REAL: An efficient Read Aligner for next generation sequencing reads structures to detect and compare the results of web spambots and Viruses. Email spam, also known as junk email or unsolicited bulk email (UBE), is a subset of electronic spam involving nearly identical messages sent to numerous recipients by email. In the last decade or so, Web spam has emerged to be a bigger than previous thought problem. It not only wastes resources, misleads people but also has the ability to trick search algorithms to gain unfair search result ranking, hence resulting in the decrease of quality and reliability of the World Wide Web (WWW) and its content. The Internet brings a new dimension to the virus problem. Before, viruses generally spread from system to system on physical media, often the floppy disk. This is a fundamentally slow way for viruses to spread. The Internet changes all this. The viruses that really win in the Internet environment are the macro viruses. They are attached to data, not code, making them harder to avoid. An increasing number of documents on the Net are available as Word files, for example, with no alternative format, and Word documents are frequently exchanged via email. Our experimental results show that the proposed system is successful for on-the-fly classification of web spambots and computer viruses hence eliminating spam in web 2.0 applications and detecting infected files in computers. Our comparison shows it is slightly harder to detect viruses due to nature of the complexity and especially if they have an executable packing to dodge antivirus engines.

The main idea behind this project is to provide a unified platform which will cover a complete process for embedded systems learning. A modular approach is considered for skills practice through supporting individualization in learning. This platform shall facilitate a novel development of universal approach in creative learning environment and knowledge management that encourage use of ICT. New learning model is challenging the education of engineers in embedded systems design through real-time experiments that stimulate curiosity with ultimate goal to support students to understand and construct their personal conceptual knowledge based on experiments. In addition to the technological approach, the use of cognitive theories on how people learn will help students to achieve a stronger and smarter adaptation of the subject. Applied methodology will be evaluated from the scientific point of view in parallel with the implementation in order to feedback results to the R&D.

Majority of ROVs are underwater vehicles with relatively slow dynamics virtually providing a ROV pilot extra time to perform other tasks, such as inspections and arm operation. However, with many tasks performed simultaneously with flying the relevant information is typically dispersed on a number of screens overloading the pilot's visual channel. Therefore, mishaps are likely to occur. To improve pilots' perception of its surroundings and to unload their visual channel, a new method called AD AR (Audio Augmented Reality) which combines the concept of Augmented Reality with virtual audio-video user interface, is proposed. In this paper, the feasibility of proposed method used as an aiding tool for navigation is investigated. All experiments are performed on the state-of-the-art, realistic ROV simulator developed by Mobile & Marine Robotics Research Centre, ECE department, University of Limerick, Ireland.
