Affective picture databases provide a standardized set of images to elicit controlled and consistent emotional responses in research participants. They are a valuable tool for studying various emotion-related phenomena across several research domains. These domains include emotion perception, emotion regulation, and the neural basis of emotion. However, affective picture databases have diverse schemas, structures, and content, making them difficult to use. Searching and retrieving optimal pictures relevant to affective stimulation may be challenging and time-consuming. In this context, we surveyed domain experts about their practices and experiences working with affective multimedia databases such as IAPS, NAPS, OASIS, GAPED, and others. The survey identified a need for novel data observatory software. This finding motivates the authors' intention to develop and validate such software platform that relies on AI. Such a platform would describe better, retrieve, and integrate various semi-structured affective multimedia datasets. The results prominently indicate the overwhelming dissatisfaction regarding stimuli content diversity and cultural bias, specifically regarding emotional and semantic context. The main driver of satisfaction from users of existing automated retrieval software is the quality of semantic descriptors available. This points to the direction AI should take in novel data observatory software. This survey follows up on a similar survey conducted ten years ago and explores the differences in researchers' opinions and experiences during that time. Many factors, including population growth, increased vehicle use, industrialization, and urbanisation, have contributed to an increase in pollution levels throughout time, which has a negative impact on human wellbeing by adversely affecting the health of those exposed to it. To keep an eye on In this project, we'll build an IOT-based air pollution monitoring system that will track the air quality via an internet-connected web server and sound an alarm whenit drops below a certain threshold, which occurs when harmful gases like CO2, smoke, alcohol, benzene, and NH3 are present in sufficient quantities. On the LCD and on the website, the air quality will be displayed in PPM for easy monitoring. You can use your mobiledevice to check the pollution level as part of this IOT project from anywhere. © 2023 IEEE.

With the emergence of large number of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), the researchers turned their attention towards the prediction, recommendation systems with these available data. This paper deals with the input of the patient details and the drugs administered to them for the different health conditions. The Drug to Drug Interaction (DDI) prediction is essential in order to avoid the unintended adverse reactions and making the drugs less effective. It is represented in the form of graphs with nodes and edges/links. Link prediction is often used to detect the existence of link or edges present in between the specified nodes. Graph Neural Network based algorithm HetrosimGCN-GAT is proposed to address the underlying link prediction tasks. A heterogeneous network is initially built using the drug-drug, protein-protein similarity matrices and drug protein matrices. The embedded representation of the drug and protein is then obtained using the graph convolutional neural network (GCN). Graph attention mechanism provides a weighting factor for every connect in order to assess the significance or highlight the contribution of distinct neighbourhood nodes to the central node. The unknown DDI and Drug Protein Interaction is predicted by applying the inner product decoder. The performance of HetrosimGCN-GAT is evaluated against the baseline methods and its outperforms the baseline methods. © 2023 IEEE.

In this modern era, traffic congestion has become a major source of negative economic and environmental impact for urban areas worldwide. One of the most efficient ways to mitigate this issue is through traffic prediction. This research field has evolved greatly ever since its inception in the late 70s. Recently, deep neural network models have gained popularity thanks to its predictive power, but despite this, literature surveys of such methods are rare;making it difficult to ascertain the progress of this research field. In this work, we address this issue by presenting an up-to-date survey of deep neural network for traffic prediction. We provide detailed explanations of popular deep neural network architectures used in the traffic flow prediction literatures, categorize and describe the literatures themselves, present an overview of the commonalities and differences among different works, and finally provide a discussion regarding the challenges and future directions for this field. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, fog computing has extended cloud services to the network edge, lowering network latency and congestion and overcoming cloud computing restrictions. Many hurdles, however, must be overcome before the benefits of the fog-IoT paradigm for low-latency applications can be completely realized. The most challenging difficulty in IoT applications is developing efficient resource management strategies that maximize throughput while minimizing delay. IoT and fog computing, rather than simply utilizing cloud computing technology, have brought intriguing new data management solutions. Fog computing makes real-time analytics applications conceivable. After combining fog computing technologies with Internet of Things (IoT) applications, the system can reply in milliseconds. Existing fog resource managers focus on a subset of fog resource management parameters such as system response time, network bandwidth, energy consumption, and latency. No Fog resource management takes multiple factors into account at the same time for decision-making, which will become increasingly crucial in intelligent homes. Gateway-based Fog computing pioneered the introduction of the shortest job (SJFGFC) to address these difficulties. The technique is validated in an IoT-based imaginative house automation scenario before being evaluated in a small-scale bright home experiment using the iFogSim toolbox and empirical models. © 2024 IEEE.

The prevalence of DR is steadily rising, which necessitates the automatic disease severity extraction and classification. About 2% of those with this illness are entirely blind because of the diabetic mellitus problem and 10% get vision impairment after 15 years of diabetes as a result of the DR complication. It is also a significant contributor to blindness in both middle aged and older age groups. The patient may develop to severe stages of irreversible blindness if the condition is not detected early. The growing number of diabetic patients face a major issue due to a lack of ophthalmologists. It is suggested that an automated DR screening system be created to aid the ophthalmologist in making decisions. One of the primary symptoms of the DR is hard exudates. The detection of hard exudates is crucial for screening purposes and aids in disease monitoring and diagnosis. Thus, utilising Lloyd's clustering technique, this work offered a unique techniques to segment the exudates and irregularities in DR were found. © 2023 IEEE.

Applications based on Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)have shown to be quite useful in monitoring a particular geographic area of *** geometries of the surrounding environment are essential to establish a successful WSN *** it is literally hard because constructing a localization algorithm that tracks the exact location of Sensor Nodes(SN)in a WSN is always a challenging *** this research paper,Distance Matrix and Markov Chain(DM-MC)model is presented as node localization technique in which Distance Matrix and Estimation Matrix are used to identify the position of the *** method further employs a Markov Chain Model(MCM)for energy optimization and interference *** are performed against two well-known models,and the results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm improves performance by using less network resources when compared to the existing *** probability is used in the Markova chain to sustain higher energy ***,the proposed Distance Matrix and Markov Chain model decrease energy use by 31%and 25%,respectively,compared to the existing DV-Hop and CSA *** experimental results were performed against two proven models,Distance VectorHop Algorithm(DV-HopA)and Crow Search Algorithm(CSA),showing that the proposed DM-MC model outperforms both the existing models regarding localization accuracy and Energy Consumption(EC).These results add to the credibility of the proposed DC-MC model as a better model for employing node localization while establishing a WSN framework.

Communications have a crucial role in times of crisis, particularly in times of emergency. Whenever a region is affected by any disaster, social media sites such as Twitter, etc., are a great way to get information out to those who need it the most. Our paper suggests that in times of crisis, when people are worried about finding the right emergency contacts or are experiencing a transformation in their psychological response, they should manually enter their experience into an app to obtain contact information for the nearest SOS. Alternatively, the proposed application suggests scraping hashtags from around the world with web scraping scripts to retrieve geo-referenced tweets in real time. In order to gather accurate data, Twitter's API or some third-party application can be used in the development of this software. When there is a major crisis, social media user behavior plays a vital role, owing to its efficiency and high reliability with swift data dissemination. Anxiety over finding the right emergency team contact may cause people to lose their cool and become unclear about which authority they should call when an emergency occurs. Eventually, our application bridges the gap between clients in need of help and the approved agency that can really provide that support in different circumstances. In the case of, for example, a lost child or a flooded area, our application helps you get in touch with an organization that can assist you in dealing with the situation. We have used CNN-1-D + LSTM, CNN-1-D + Bi-LSTMs, and CNN-1-D + LSTM + Glove-100-D to get maximum accuracy for the classification model. It is possible to use the prototype solution in a novel way to organize immediate assistance with authorities in comprehensive administration, while integrating Twitter or other social platforms into the application can make it a feasible platform for preventive intervention and catastrophe management. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature

Neurological diseases are the disorders of brain and the nerves that run throughout the human body. There is a range of symptoms that arise as a result of chemical, structural, or electrical modifications in the regions of brain. One such neurological disease is the Alzheimer's Disease (AD), is considered as a slow and progressive disease that majorly affects the cognitive abilities of the individual. It is most common forms of dementia without any proper cure. However, early diagnosis and treatment might slow down the symptoms and improve the lifestyle of the individual. The most common techniques to identify the neurological disorders are imaging of the brain regions, namely, CT, MRI, PET, etc. The learning approaches, such as Deep Learning and Machine Learning are identified to be effective in analyzing these images to provide better accuracies in detecting the AD. In this study, four versions of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) are used to classify AD and Control cases. Further, the Kapur's thresholding technique is also implemented to segment the images for improving the classification accuracy of AD. From the results shown in the study, the inference shows that the VGG16 of CNN provides considerable improvement than the other deep learning models before and after the implementation of thresholding. © 2024 IEEE.
