American Sign Language (ASL) recognition aims to recognize hand gestures, and it is a crucial solution to communicating between the deaf community and hearing people. However, existing sign language recognition algorithms still have some drawbacks, such as difficulty recognizing hand movements and low recognition accuracy for most sign language recognition. A Modified Convolutional Neural Network (MCNN) deep residual 101 classifier-based American Sign Language identification system has been developed to address this problem. There are three main parts presents in the method. The first part is pre-processing the images to remove the noise, enhance the contrast of the picture, adjust the contrast level and smoothen the picture using various filters. The second part is the segmentation, and it’s used to partition the image using a modified canny edge detection method by removing all weak edges present in the image. Finally, classification will be done using the Modified CNN deep residual 101 classifiers. By classifying the image, the American Sign Language is accurately identified. This process is conducted through images. The outcome shows that the suggested approach has a 0.97% accuracy and a 0.05% False Positive Rate. Other CNN architectures such as resNet 50 and resNet 18 reached 0.90% and 0.80% accuracy, respectively, which is lower than our proposed method. In addition, the resNet 101 classifier effectively recognizes the difficult hand gestures through the image data. It obtains high recognition accuracy for 36 signs is 0 to 9 numbers and a to z alphabets from American Sign Language. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a diverse neurological problem with several contributing factors involving both genetic and environmental variables. The diagnosis of ASD based on neural activity analysis of various signals from the brain, especially electroencephalography (EEG), has drawn attention. A technique for capturing an electrogram of the brain's spontaneous electrical activity is called EEG which is simple to use and non-intrusive. The aim of this study is to classify people with ASD and controls using the most efficient band by examining different sub-bands (such as alpha, beta, and gamma) of the EEG data. Normalized Mutual Information (NMI) is used to create Connectivity Feature Maps (CFMs). Classification is performed through Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Efficient energy management is a cornerstone of advancing cognitive cities,where AI,IoT,and cloud computing seamlessly integrate to meet escalating global energy *** this context,the ability to forecast electricity consumption with precision is vital,particularly in residential settings where usage patterns are highly variable and *** study presents an innovative approach to energy consumption forecasting using a bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)*** a dataset containing over twomillionmultivariate,time-series observations collected froma single household over nearly four years,ourmodel addresses the limitations of traditional time-series forecasting methods,which often struggle with temporal dependencies and non-linear *** bidirectional LSTM architecture processes data in both forward and backward directions,capturing past and future contexts at each time step,whereas existing unidirectional LSTMs consider only a single temporal *** design,combined with dropout regularization,leads to a 20.6%reduction in RMSE and an 18.8%improvement in MAE over conventional unidirectional LSTMs,demonstrating a substantial enhancement in prediction accuracy and *** to existing models—including SVM,Random Forest,MLP,ANN,and CNN—the proposed model achieves the lowest MAE of 0.0831 and RMSE of 0.2213 during testing,significantly outperforming these *** results highlight the model’s superior ability to navigate the complexities of energy usage patterns,reinforcing its potential application in AI-driven IoT and cloud-enabled energy management systems for cognitive *** integrating advanced machine learning techniqueswith IoT and cloud infrastructure,this research contributes to the development of intelligent,sustainable urban environments.

The interpretability of stroke risk prediction is still lagging and it can be solved by using deep analysisofdata with the application of the Bayes rule. The prediction model has to be produced with accuracy, clarity, and comprehensibility without ambiguity, especially in machine learning and data analytics. The class imbalance problem is a common issue affecting the raw data, which means the imbalanced categorization of outcome feature value. In many fields, such as fraud detection, network intrusion detection, and medical diagnostics, this class imbalance issue is present where negative class samples outnumber positive class samples. If some datasets have class imbalance and imperfect issues, there will be no proper classification pattern. There are many resampling methods to address this class imbalance problem. However, these resampling methods can make an even distribution of classes by generating or omitting some samples, but theycannot handle imperfect data. The probabilistic analysis can lead to the identification of issues that exist in the dataset and provide direction to medical experts on dealing with the condition to avoid *** strength of applying the Bayes rule will provide a meaningful interpretation of stroke data. This paper investigates the Baye rule's significance in stroke data analysis. © 2023 IEEE.

High spatial resolution multispectral (HMS) images can provide sufficient information for researchers to analyze the potential disasters in the living environment. However, an original multispectral (MS) image is with low-space-resolution and high-spectrum-resolution, while an original panchromatic (PAN) image has the opposite property. Pansharpening aims at obtaining HMS image by retaining spectrum of the MS image and injecting details of the PAN image simultaneously. In this paper, we present a new pansharpening method. First, we use a bilateral filter (BF) to obtain the low-frequency-component (LFC) of PAN and MS images, respectively. Then the high-frequency-component (HFC) of PAN and MS images are readily obtained. Second, an adaptive intensity-hue-saturation (AIHS) based method is applied to generate the HFC of intensity. Finally, a dual-scale guided image filter (GIF) is utilized to calculate the difference between HFC of intensity and PAN to get the detail images. And then, these detail images are injected into the original MS image to achieve the HMS image. The proposed method is applied into testing various satellite data sets, and performs better effect on both visual quality and objective indictors than the existing methods. © Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2018.

With the recent advent of technology, social networks are accessible 24/7 using mobile devices. During covid-19 pandemic the propagation of misinformation are mostly related to the disease, its cures and prevention. With Twitter as the medium this information was spreaded to millions of people who lack domain specific knowledge. This can lead to bloster fear and direct damage to the people. This research focuses on identifying the veracity of the Twitter posts behind pandemic situation. The authors have proposed a Transformer Model using Bat Algorithm for identifying the fake news. This model is trained and evaluated using infodemic metadata. Our experimental results shows by which proposed model accurately detected the fake news and achieved 96.5% of f1-score. © 2024 IEEE.

In dusty and hazzy circumstances, pictures caputured tend to be unclear. To tackle this challenge researchers have founded different image-dehazing approaches. Lately, high quality pictures which could be used to extract maximal data from autonomous systems are in great demand. In order to minimize the haze from the picture, this research study uses various deep learning (also known as DL) architectures to identify the information recovered and extract key details from the image. The research paper focuses on utilizing deep learning techniques to remove haze from clear *** first phase of the suggested architecture involves applying multiple pre-processing methods, including estimating the airlight, implementing contextual regularization and boundary constraints, as well as contrast enhancement techniques (CS, CLAHE, HE) and Image Fusion. The subsequent goal of this study is to pinpoint the optimal deep learning model that can produce clear images based on the resulting dehazed images. The quality of the dehazed images is evaluated by comparing them with clear images using metrics such as PSNR and SSIM. Experimental findings shows that Alex Net upon the implementation of pre-processing beats other state of the art techniques with regard to PSNR value and holds its own w.r.t SSIM values. © 2023 IEEE.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is an advanced neuro-degenerative condition where a large number of people around the world are profoundly affected. The scarcity of precise data regarding the typical circumstances faced by humans with PD severely restricts ongoing research and therapeutic endeavours. This proposed work aims to investigate various innovations to address this issue comprehensively. Specifically, this proposed work intends to develop a versatile application tailored to help the PD patients and incorporating smart medication reminders. Moreover, this proposed work will focus on creating exercise/workout plans & diet plans based on continuous data collection and patient feedback to enhance prescription management while minimizing side effects. Simultaneously, initiatives aimed at reducing the stress level and improve mental health. The development and implementation of this versatile applications hold significant promise in improving patient outcomes. By addressing the dearth of accurate information and fostering a systematic support ecosystem, it aspires to enhance the lives of individuals grappling with PD on a global scale. © 2024 IEEE.
