Recently, the platform economy allows enterprises to collaborate with business partners and provide additional channels for various parties. E-commerce platforms have become integral channels for connecting suppliers with consumers. In the platform economy, agency selling and reselling are two predominant sales models that often coexist for the same product types, resulting in a competitive relationship. This study analyzes transaction data for 30,000 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) provided by the Chinese e-commerce platforms over one month. We employ three models to compare the sales quantity and profits of manufacturers and online platforms and to identify the most efficient mode for stakeholders based on the model establishment and empirical evidence. Our findings suggest that apart from the existing channel to provide products to customers, manufacturers enter the platform which will increase the profit of platform operators. On the other hand, platform operators may also affect the profit of the manufacturers.

Photon time-of-flight information increases the effective sensitivity of time-of-flight (TOF) positron emission tomography (PET). We have previously quantified the relation between the size and shape of the TOF-kernel and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the TOF-PET data for a very simple detection task. In addition, it was shown analytically that for the center of a uniform cylinder, the variance of the reconstructed pixel values is inversely proportional to the squared SNR for this detection task. With this analytic result, one can compare TOF-PET systems with TOF-PET kernels of different size and shape, and rank them according to the variance in their reconstructed images for the same number of measured coincidences. This approach only considers the efficacy of TOF for noise suppression in the reconstruction of the activity image, when the attenuation is known. Here, we apply a similar approach to predict the performance of TOF-PET for joint reconstruction of the attenuation and activity images. A simple and elegant expression is obtained, which is found to agree well with the variance observed in MLAA reconstructions in a simple 2D TOF-PET simulation experiment. © 2022 IEEE.

During the movement of technological mechanisms under load, the electric drive must form a moment that would ensure a trouble-free mode of operation of both the technological mechanism and the electric drive. Modern research in vibroreology suggests that the destruction of intermolecular forces in the working environment during the application of vibration, which is manifested in the relative motion of the layers of the structured environment, leads to the destruction of bonds in the structure, reducing friction and adhesion, yield strength. This creates the conditions for the manifestation of current at lower shear stresses. During the analysis of physicochemical processes occurring in the working body with the working environment during downtime, it was found that for the complete destruction of the structure requires anisotropic regime of variable frequency and moment of vibration. The reduction of plastic viscosity in this case is achieved by destroying the structure of the medium. © 2021 IEEE.

In the work, the structure of an interconnected electrotechnical complex of frequency-regulated electric drives of the mechanisms of grain-throwing machines is proposed to ensure effective overloading of grain with a reduction in its injury. The basic equations for determining the laws governing the grain flight trajectory are presented. The results of research on the influence of various parameters on the flight trajectory (thickness of the grain layer, presence of additional blowing) are given. The obtained results of the study allow us to state that additional blowing ensures a reduction in dispersion, depending on the type of grain and the speed of the conveyor belt of the grain thrower As a result, a regression model was obtained that allows taking into account the main parameters. The simulation results of the proposed electric fan drive system with scalar control with the control algorithm based on the PID structure, calculated according to the frequency criterion, are presented. A functional diagram of the electrical complex of the grain thrower is proposed. The practical application of the proposed system will reduce material damage from injury to the reloaded grain and improve the efficiency of the grain thrower.

Discrete-time fractional-order dynamical systems (DT-FODS) have found innumerable applications in the context of modeling spatiotemporal behaviors associated with long-term memory. Applications include neurophysiological signals such as electroencephalogram (EEG) and electrocorticogram (ECoG). Although learning the spatiotemporal parameters of DT-FODS is not a new problem, when dealing with neurophysiological signals we need to guarantee performance standards. Therefore, we need to understand the trade-offs between sample complexity and estimation accuracy of the system parameters. Simply speaking, we need to address the question of how many measurements we need to collect to identify the system parameters up to an uncertainty level. In this paper, we address the problem of identifying the spatial and temporal parameters of DT-FODS. The main result is the first result on non-asymptotic finite-sample complexity guarantees of identifying DT-FODS. Finally, we provide evidence of the efficacy of our method in the context of forecasting real-life intracranial EEG time series collected from patients undergoing epileptic seizures. With this research, we apply range-resolved interferometry (RRI) to the maintenance of wind turbines using some of the most relevant machine-learning (ML) techniques. The degeneration of electrical and mechanical components of wind turbines can be predicted, detected, and anticipated using this method of automatic and autonomous learning. The vibrations in two different failure states are detected with the help of a scanner laser. In-process measurements taken by RRI agree with manual measurements, laser scanning measurements, and in-process hand measurements made following each working cycle. Consequently, the proposed method will be very useful for monitoring and diagnosing faults in wind turbines. Hot embossing is a promising replication technology for precision manufacture of glass micro optical components. However, the optical performance of thermally imprinted micro optical components is significantly deteriorated due to the warpage formed on their global surfaces. The control of surface roughness and replica thickness are also vital in practical applications. This study attempts to experimentally evaluate the effects of different process parameters (i.e., embossing temperature, embossing force, isothermal pressing time, annealing rate, maintenance force and fast cooling point) on the shape parameters (i.e., curvature radius, surface roughness and thickness) of glass replica. The results provide an important means for minimizing the warpage, reducing surface roughness and controlling replica thickness in hot embossing. In this study, a series of glass hot embossing experiments were conducted by a commercially available precision glass molding machine. The surface topography was measured on both the top and the bottom surfaces of embossed glass replicas. The thickness and diameter of the replicas were also measured. The experimental results were then analyzed for quantifying the effects of different process parameters on the shape parameters. The results of this study provide optimal process parameters for practical hot embossing applications. The principal contribution of this study lies in creating an effective solar energy harvesting system intended to address the energy limitations experienced by batteries in Internet of Things (IoT) networks. Ideally, IoT network nodes equipped with optimized Solar Energy Harvesting systems should operate for extended periods. To achieve this goal, we propose the utilization of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) based on Harris Hawks Optimization (HHO) controllers. This strategy aims to optimize solar power extraction, consequently boosting overall system efficiency. We’ve implemented our methodology in MATLAB/Simulink and assessed its performance using a range of performance metrics. The results demonstrate the efficiency of our method, which is further substantiated through a comparative analysis with analysis with two traditional techniques. Our proposed method achieves maximum power tracking performance in photovoltaic (PV) systems in both cases of stable and variable weather conditions.

Taking into account the modern realities of industrial production, today the task of improving the quality of welding wire in the drawing process using the electroplastic effect is relevant. The advantage of direct electric contact heating is substantiated by the possibility of obtaining the implementation and construction of a controlled process for the formation of the heating temperature during drawing. The control system is based on a proportional-integral-differential controller (PID controller), a power controller, a current source and an Apir-S measuring pyrometric complex, consisting of a primary pyrometric and secondary converter. By setting the appropriate coefficients of the PID controller, it is possible to form a stable operation mode with the formation of a controlled temperature regime during electric contact heating of the wire. It was experimentally established that, using the formation of a controlled temperature regime of annealing, due to the control of the heating temperature by a pyrometer, the control error did not exceed 1.3%. Compliance with the temperature of the annealing mode in the specified range provides the mechanical parameters of the products, namely wire, specified by the technological process. The methods adopted by the formation of a controlled temperature regime and the system of elements during its implementation are characterized by ease of use, reliability and ensuring the quality indicators of the technological process being performed. A further line of research is to substantiate the need to use the controlled cooling process to obtain the specified physical and mechanical parameters of the annealed wire.
