We apply the original semiclassical approach to the kinetic ionization equation with the nonlocal cubic nonlinearity in order to construct the family of its asymptotic solutions. The approach proposed relies on an auxiliary dynamical system of moments of the desired solution to the kinetic equation and the associated linear partial differential equation. The family of asymptotic solutions to the kinetic equation is constructed using the symmetry operators acting on functions concentrated in a neighborhood of a point determined by the dynamical system. Based on these solutions, we introduce the nonlinear superposition principle for the nonlinear kinetic equation. Our formalism based on the Maslov germ method is applied to the Cauchy problem for the specific two-dimensional kinetic equation. The evolution of the ion distribution in the kinetically enhanced metal vapor active medium is obtained as the nonlinear superposition using the numerical-analytical *** Codes 45K05, 81Q20, 82B40, 82D10 Copyright © 2022, The Authors. A field programmable gate array (FPGA) has been configured to control the temperature average value and spatial uniformity of a TEM-cell. The system is composed of 24 Peltier elements (PE) and 52 temperature sensors (TS) distributed all around the TEM-cell. The FPGA controls each PE independently computing a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller with 24 different sets of parameters. The 52 TS are read using 18 Inter-Integrated-Circuit buses wired to a single master controller. This allows running the PID controller for the 24 sub-systems at a maximum frequency of 2 kHz. To compute this, a custom programmable architecture has been designed to carry out calculations with 36-bit signed values with a fixed point. The final design uses around 1600 logic elements (one logic element = one register and one 4-input lookup table), some multipliers, and some memory bits. The temperature precision obtained is around 0.1°C. The component used is an EP2C5T144C8 configured in a hardware description language Verilog with the Quartus software. © 2019 IEEE.

Modern data centers’ providers are gradually moving away from traditional and multi-vendor IT infrastructures to open, standardized and interchangeable solutions that are based on a software defined approach to managing data center resources. The authors analyze the architectural features, requirements, limitations, hardware and software of hyperconverged infrastructures and their advantages in comparison with traditional and converged architectures deployed in data centers. The authors propose to employ two-level coordination schema to manage compute, storage, network and virtualization subsystems of hyperconverged infrastructure along with the self-management algorithms inside these subsystems. © Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2019.

Anomaly detection plays a key role in maintaining the reliable and stable operation of industrial systems, especially in high-reliability fields. Conventional single-modal data cannot provide comprehensive information about the detected object, resulting in false or missed detection. To address the challenges of complex anomaly patterns and heterogeneous data in industrial scenarios, we propose MMDT-IAD, a multi-modal digital twin (DT)-based anomaly detection framework that integrates edge–cloud collaboration. By lever- aging physical, geometric, visual, and semantic modalities, MMDT-IAD constructs a comprehensive virtual representation of monitored objects and enables real-time, scalable detection across distributed industrial environments. Next, to enable efficient fusion of heterogeneous DT modalities, we propose a One-Primary- Three-Auxiliary (1P3A) cross-modal decision fusion strategy. Finally, we apply the MMDT-IAD frame-work to the anomaly detection of aviation electrical connector pins, and present a detailed application process. The experimental results prove the effectiveness of the MMDT-IAD framework in detecting abnormal pins. Moreover, we discuss the generality of MMDT-IAD framework considering several common industrial anomalies. These results highlight the potential of MMDT-IAD framework and 1P3A method to significantly improve anomaly detection in other complex industrial scenarios.

In this paper, we discuss an application of the method of laser-speckle correlation for studying the blood coagulation process. A module for recording and processing speckle images based on a debugging kit for the Atxmega128A1 microcontroller has been developed. The results of testing the developed module as part of a laboratory setup based on a semiconductor laser using standard reagents are presented.

This paper presents a multirobot cooperative event based localization scheme with improved bandwidth usage in a heterogeneous group of mobile robots. The proposed method relies on an agent based framework that defines the communications between robots and on an event based Extended Kalman Filter that performs the cooperative sensor fusion from local, global and relative sources. The event is generated when the pose error covariance exceeds a predefined limit. By this, the robots update the pose using the relative information available only when necessary, using less bandwidth and computational resources when compared to the time based methods, allowing bandwidth allocation for other tasks while extending battery life. The method is tested using a simulation platform developed in the programming language JAVA with a group of differential mobile robots represented by an agent in a JADE framework. The pose estimation performance, error covariance and number of messages exchanged in the communication are measured and used to compare the traditional time based approach with the proposed event based algorithm. Also, the compromise between the accuracy of the localization method and the bandwidth usage is analyzed for different event limits. A final experimental test with two SUMMIT XL robots is shown to validate the simulation results. © 2019 Chinese Automatic control Society and John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd

PLATO (PLAnetary Transits and Oscillations of stars) is ESA’s M3 mission designed to detect and characterise extrasolar planets and perform asteroseismic monitoring of a large number of stars. PLATO will detect small planets (down to <2REarth) around bright stars (<11 mag), including terrestrial planets in the habitable zone of solar-like stars. With the complement of radial velocity observations from the ground, planets will be characterised for their radius, mass, and age with high accuracy (5%, 10%, 10% for an Earth-Sun combination respectively). PLATO will provide us with a large-scale catalogue of well-characterised small planets up to intermediate orbital periods, relevant for a meaningful comparison to planet formation theories and to better understand planet evolution. It will make possible comparative exoplanetology to place our Solar System planets in a broader context. In parallel, PLATO will study (host) stars using asteroseismology, allowing us to determine the stellar properties with high accuracy, substantially enhancing our knowledge of stellar structure and evolution. The payload instrument consists of 26 cameras with 12cm aperture each. For at least four years, the mission will perform high-precision photometric measurements. Here we review the science objectives, present PLATO‘s target samples and fields, provide an overview of expected core science performance as well as a description of the instrument and the mission profile towards the end of the serial production of the flight cameras. PLATO is scheduled for a launch date end 2026. This overview therefore provides a summary of the mission to the community in preparation of the upcoming operational phases. © The Author(s) 2025.

Effect of friction on the motion control processes in mechatronic systems is considered. The analysis of modern friction modeling methods is carried out. Features of processes at low speeds: accuracy, oscillations and stability have been studied on base of macroscopic models of friction. Friction in the mechatronic system causes the formation of complex nonlinear speed feedback, which depends on many factors and has different signs at different speeds. Oscillations and a violation of the stability of the system are possible with positive feedback at low speed. The conditions of stable operation under frictional load for a DC motor are derived. Correction methods for mechatronic systems with friction are considered. Effective control in mechatronic systems achieve using the principle of subordinate coordinate control. The results of modeling systems with the main feedback on the angular speed and angle of rotation are presented. Copyright © 2019 The Authors.

A Markov Traffic Model for Signalized Traffic Networks Based on Bayesian Estimation

In order to better understand the stochastic dynamic features of signalized traffic networks, we propose a Markov traffic model to simulate the dynamics of traffic link flow density for signalized urban traffic networks with demand uncertainty. In this model, we have four different state modes for the link according to different congestion levels of the link. Each link can only be in one of the four link state modes at any time, and the transition probability from one state to the other state is estimated by Bayesian estimation based on the distributions of the dynamic traffic flow densities, and the posterior probabilities. Therefore, we use a first-order Markov Chain Model to describe the dynamics of the traffic flow evolution process. We illustrate our approach for a small traffic network. Compared with the data from the microscopic traffic simulator SUMO, the proposed model can estimate the link traffic densities accurately and can give a reliable estimation of the uncertainties in the dynamic process of signalized traffic networks.
