This paper deals with the robust iterative learning control(ILC) for time-delay systems(TDS) with both model and delay *** ILC algorithm with anticipation in time is considered,and a frequency-domain approach to its design is *** shows that a necessary and sufficient convergence condition can be provided in terms of three design parameters:the lead time,the learning gain,and the performance weighting *** particular,if the lead time is chosen as just the delay estimate,then the convergence condition is derived independent of the delay and the *** this case,with the selection of the performance weighting function,the perfect tracking can be achieved,or the least upper bound of the L2-norm of the limit tracking error can be guaranteed less than the least upper bound of the L2-norm of the initial tracking error.

This paper is concerned with the iterative learning control(ILC) problem for discrete-time systems with iterationvarying *** the so-called super-vector approach to ILC,the discrete domain bounded real lemma is employed to develop a sufficient condition ensuring both the stability and the desired H∞ performance of the ILC *** is shown that this sufficient condition can be presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs),which can also determine the learning gain matrix.A numerical simulation example is included to validate the theoretical results.

In this paper, control of parallel single-phase inverters in direct-quadrature(DQ) rotating frame based on droop method is proposed. For each inverter, a secondary orthogonal imaginary circuit is created to provide the second phase required for the transformation; thus a DQ model of the inverter is obtained. The DQ transformation provides a time-invariant model of the inverter which makes the control design similar to that of dc-dc converters. The recognition of this analogy is important in that all of advanced dc-dc converters control techniques that have been previously developed can be applied to the control parallel inverters. The controller then is designed in DQ frame. Theoretically, infinite loop gain can be achieved in DQ rotating frame resulting in the elimination of the steady state error at the fundamental frequency of the inverter. The output impedance of the inverters is also considered, to ensure the decoupling between active and reactive power control using droop method. Simulation results are provided to prove the concept.

Practically, the attitude control of rigid bodies necessitates the estimation of the orientation and the measurement of the angular velocity. Consequently, the computational cost of the control loop is relatively high. In the present paper, two bounded control laws for attitude stabilization are proposed; the first one is designed without attitude estimation but using angular velocities measurements while the second control law does not even need angular velocity measurement. Based on saturation functions, the control laws are highly simple. Only the measurements of at least two non-collinear directional sensors are needed, which makes this new strategy suitable for embedded implementations. Moreover, the control laws are bounded, preventing the saturation of actuators and increasing their efficiency. The global convergence of the control law is proved. Simulations with some robustness tests (sensors noise and external disturbances) are performed.

Frequency analysis is an appropriated tool to study the robustness of a controlled system to either disturbances or uncertainties. In this paper, a multirate based approach allows to consider the intersampling behaviour of the system by selecting a faster sampling rate at the output signal. Using the frequency analysis of multirate systems, the controlled process robustness to model uncertainties and disturbances can be derived. Although some authors claim that a dual rate inferential control could be more robust than a fast single rate one assuming some kind of parametric uncertainty in the process, a counterexample will show the opposite conclusion. Our approach is used to computationally show that this is not always true, and some assumptions about the model uncertainties should be taken. For the sake of comparison, the control performances using a non conventional dual-rate controller are also computed. © 2008 Civil-Comp Press.

This paper proposes an adaptive multi-class support vector machine for simultaneous microarray classification and gene selection. By evaluating the gene ranking significance, the adaptive multi-class support vector machine is shown to encourage an adaptive grouping effect in the process of building classifiers, thus leading a sparse multi-classifiers with enhanced interpretability. Based on a reasonable correlation between the two regularization parameters, an efficient solution path algorithm is developed for solving the proposed support vector machine. Experiments performed on the leukaemia data set are provided to verify the obtained results.

This paper is devoted to the consensus control for a network of autonomous agents with high-dimension linear coupling dynamics and subject to external disturbances. By transforming the consensus control problem into an H infin control problem, we propose a distributed state feedback protocol, and obtain conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to ensure the consensus with a prescribed H infin performance level for networks with zero and nonzero communication delays, respectively. Furthermore, the undetermined feedback matrix of the proposed protocol is also solved. A numerical example is included to validate the theoretical results.
