The electromagnetic energy flux in the lower atmosphere of the Sun is a key tool to describe the energy balance of the solar atmosphere. Current investigations on energy flux in the solar atmosphere focus primarily on the vertical electromagnetic flux through the photosphere, ignoring the Poynting flux in other directions and its possible contributions to local heating. Based on a realistic Bifrost simulation of a quiet-Sun (coronal hole) atmosphere, we find that the total electromagnetic energy flux in the photosphere occurs mainly parallel to the photosphere, concentrating in small regions along intergranular lanes. Thereby, it was possible to define a proxy for this energy flux based on only variables that can be promptly retrieved from observations, namely, horizontal velocities of the small-scale magnetic elements and their longitudinal magnetic flux. Our proxy accurately describes the actual Poynting flux distribution in the simulations, with the electromagnetic energy flux reaching 1010 erg cm−2 s−1. To validate our findings, we extended the analysis to SUNRISE/IMaX data. First, we show that Bifrost realistically describes photospheric quiet-Sun regions, as the simulation presents similar distributions for line-of-sight magnetic flux and horizontal velocity field. Second, we found very similar horizontal Poynting flux proxy distributions for the simulated photosphere and observational data. Our results also indicate that the horizontal Poynting flux in the observations is considerably larger than the vertical electromagnetic flux from previous observational estimates. Therefore, our analysis confirms that the electromagnetic energy flux in the photosphere is mainly horizontal and is most intense in localized regions along intergranular lanes. In recent years, human electric shock accident caused by line fault of distribution system has happened all over the world. This kind of problem of high resistance grounding fault safety is becoming more and more the attention of the researchers. In this paper, typical arc high resistance grounding fault model is established to simulate the human electric shock accident and the line fell to the ground condition. The transient- state and steady-state fault characteristics of high resistance grounding fault are analyzed in the neutral point grounded through a small resistance grounding system and the resonant grounding system. The above analysis has laid a good foundation for the establishment of an effective fault detection method for high resistance grounding and the realization of human electric shock protection. © 2019 IEEE.

The problem of high resistance grounding fault detection in resonant grounding system is always the pain point and difficulty in the field of power system research. To solve the problem, based on PSCAD software, this paper firstly establishes a typical distribution system model, and analyzes the relationship between the transient component, traveling wave component and the fault initial angle, transition resistance value and arc. Secondly, this paper analyzes the effect of the main fault detection methods such as transient methods and travelling wave method, and gives the effective domain of different detection methods. Above analysis establishes a complete systematic test scheme for the high resistance grounding fault detection, and provides an effective test support for the subsequent effectual fault detection method for high resistance grounding fault. © 2019 IEEE.

In the field of large-scale SLAM for autonomous driving and mobile robotics, 3D point cloud based place recognition has aroused significant research interest due to its robustness to changing environments with drastic daytime and weather variance. However, it is time-consuming and effort-costly to obtain high-quality point cloud data for place recognition model training and ground truth for registration in the real world. To this end, a novel registration-aided 3D domain adaptation network for point cloud based place recognition is proposed. A structure-aware registration network is introduced to help to learn features with geometric information and a 6-DoFs pose between two point clouds with partial overlap can be estimated. The model is trained through a synthetic virtual LiDAR dataset through GTA-V with diverse weather and daytime conditions and domain adaptation is implemented to the real-world domain by aligning the global features. Our results outperform state-of-the-art 3D place recognition baselines or achieve comparable on the real-world Oxford RobotCar dataset with the visualization of registration on the virtual dataset. With the rapid development of measurwement technology, LiDAR and depth cameras are widely used in the perception of the 3D environment. Recent learning based methods for robot perception most focus on the image or video, but deep learning methods for dynamic 3D point cloud sequences are underexplored. Therefore, developing efficient and accurate perception method compatible with these advanced instruments is pivotal to autonomous driving and service robots. An Anchor-based Spatio-Temporal Attention 3D Convolution operation (ASTA3DConv) is proposed in this paper to process dynamic 3D point cloud sequences. The proposed convolution operation builds a regular receptive field around each point by setting several virtual anchors around each point. The features of neighborhood points are firstly aggregated to each anchor based on the spatio-temporal attention mechanism. Then, anchor-based 3D convolution is adopted to aggregate these anchors' features to the core points. The proposed method makes better use of the structured information within the local region and learns spatio-temporal embedding features from dynamic 3D point cloud sequences. Anchor-based Spatio-Temporal Attention 3D Convolutional Neural Networks (ASTA3DCNNs) are built for classification and segmentation tasks based on the proposed ASTA3DConv and evaluated on action recognition and semantic segmentation tasks. The experiments and ablation studies on MSRAction3D and Synthia datasets demonstrate the superior performance and effectiveness of our method for dynamic 3D point cloud sequences. Our method achieves the state-of-the-art performance among the methods with dynamic 3D point cloud sequences as input on MSRAction3D and Synthia datasets. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. Article deals with the problem of synthesis of the nonlinear-periodic control system for one class of control non-affine stationary plants with several statements delays, which are functioning under a priori parametric uncertainty conditions. With the help of computational experiments, the quality of the control system operation is illustrated. The results obtained in the article may be used in the practical implementation of the considered control system. In particular, they can be used for construction of the control systems for manipulation robots and other technical plants (for example, rotor systems) which are operates in the periodic modes. © 2018 IEEE.

The article deals with the problem of synthesis of nonlinear regulator of control system for non-affine stationary plant with known constant statement delay. The plant is functions in periodic modes in the presence of constantly acting external perturbations and parametric uncertainty. As solution methods the hyperstability criterion, the fast-acting dynamic corrector, and L-dissipativity conditions are used. The key stage of the synthesis is the receipt for V. M. Popov's inequality special integral estimates that are ensure the fulfillment of the control goal. In final part of the article with the help of simulation the dynamic processes taking place in the proposed management system, which indicate its high quality are being visually illustrated. © 2018 IEEE.

Background: Diarrhoeal diseases claim more than 1 million lives annually and are a leading cause of death in children younger than 5 years. Comprehensive global estimates of the diarrhoeal disease burden for specific age groups of children younger than 5 years are scarce, and the burden in children older than 5 years and in adults is also understudied. We used results from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2021 to assess the burden of, and trends in, diarrhoeal diseases overall and attributable to 13 pathogens, as well as the contributions of associated risk factors, in children and adults in 204 countries and territories from 1990 to 2021. Methods: We used the Cause of Death Ensemble modelling strategy to analyse vital registration data, verbal autopsy data, mortality surveillance data, and minimally invasive tissue sampling data. We used DisMod-MR (version 2.1), a Bayesian meta-regression tool, to analyse incidence and prevalence data identified via systematic reviews, population-based surveys, and claims and inpatient data. We calculated diarrhoeal disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) as the sum of years of life lost (YLLs) and years lived with disability (YLDs) for each location, year, and age–sex group. For aetiology estimation, we used a counterfactual approach to quantify population-attributable fractions (PAFs). Additionally, we estimated the diarrhoeal disease burden attributable to the independent effects of risk factors using the comparative risk assessment framework. Findings: In 2021, diarrhoeal diseases caused an estimated 1·17 million (95% uncertainty interval 0·793–1·62) deaths globally, representing a 60·3% (50·6–69·0) decrease since 1990 (2·93 million [2·31–3·73] deaths). The most pronounced decline was in children younger than 5 years, with a 79·2% (72·4–84·6) decrease in diarrhoeal deaths. The NASA InSight lander mission to Mars payload includes the Heat Flow and Physical Properties Package HP3 to measure the surface heat flow. The package was designed use a small penetrator - nicknamed the mole - to implement a vertical string of temperature sensors in the soil to a depth of 5 m. The mole itself is equipped with sensors to measure a thermal conductivity- depth profile as it proceeds to depth. The heat flow would be calculated from the product of the temperature gradient and the thermal conductivity. To avoid the perturbation caused by annual surface temperature variations, the measurements would be taken at a depth between 3 m and 5 m. The mole had been designed to penetrate cohesionless soil similar in rheology to Quartz sand which was expected to provide a good analogue material for Martian sand. The sand would provide friction to the buried mole hull to balance the remaining recoil of the mole hammer mechanism that drives the mole forward. Unfortunately, the mole did not penetrate more than roughly a mole length of 40 cm. The failure to penetrate deeper was largely due to a cohesive duricrust of a few tens of centimeter thickness that failed to provide the required friction. Although a suppressor mass and spring as part of the mole hammer mechanism absorbed much of the recoil, the available mass did not allow designing a system that would have eliminated the recoil. The mole penetrated to 40 cm depth benefiting from friction provided by springs in the support structure from which it was deployed. It was found in addition that the Martian soil provided unexpected levels of penetration resistance that would have motivated to designing a more powerful mole. The low weight of the moIe support structure was not enough to guide the mole penetrating vertically. It is concluded that more mass would have allowed to design a more robust system with little or no recoil, more energy of the mole hammer mechanism and a more massive support structure. In additio

Background: Diabetes is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, and affects people regardless of country, age group, or sex. Using the most recent evidentiary and analytical framework from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD), we produced location-specific, age-specific, and sex-specific estimates of diabetes prevalence and burden from 1990 to 2021, the proportion of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in 2021, the proportion of the type 2 diabetes burden attributable to selected risk factors, and projections of diabetes prevalence through 2050. Methods: Estimates of diabetes prevalence and burden were computed in 204 countries and territories, across 25 age groups, for males and females separately and combined;these estimates comprised lost years of healthy life, measured in disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs;defined as the sum of years of life lost [YLLs] and years lived with disability [YLDs]). We used the Cause of Death Ensemble model (CODEm) approach to estimate deaths due to diabetes, incorporating 25 666 location-years of data from vital registration and verbal autopsy reports in separate total (including both type 1 and type 2 diabetes) and type-specific models. Other forms of diabetes, including gestational and monogenic diabetes, were not explicitly modelled. Total and type 1 diabetes prevalence was estimated by use of a Bayesian meta-regression modelling tool, DisMod-MR 2.1, to analyse 1527 location-years of data from the scientific literature, survey microdata, and insurance claims;type 2 diabetes estimates were computed by subtracting type 1 diabetes from total estimates. Mortality and prevalence estimates, along with standard life expectancy and disability weights, were used to calculate YLLs, YLDs, and DALYs.
