In operation, the negative temperature coefficient (NTC) electrical resistivity characteristics of polymeric insulating materials causes DC electric field distortion within power equipment insulation and lead to the failure. The doping of positive temperature coefficient (PTC) ceramic particles can suppress the NTC characteristics of the composites, but the electrical properties under AC voltages are unrevealed. In this paper, epoxy composites (0–20 wt%) doped with polydopamine-coated PTC particles were prepared, whose AC breakdown strength and dielectric properties were tested. The results shows that the decrease of AC dielectric strength is smaller than that under DC voltages after the doping PTC particles, and the coating of polydopamine can enhance the AC dielectric strength. As the doping content increases, the dielectric constant and tanδ of the epoxy composites increases, and the maximum increase of dielectric loss power is about 2% of the loss power caused by the current-carrying conductor. The research provides a theoretical basis for the optimization of the insulating performance of the equipment under the AC-DC composite voltages. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd 2024.

Heat pumps can play a crucial role in the European energy strategy 2050, which aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. When coupled with thermal energy storage and integrated with advanced control strategies, heat pump operation can be optimized to reduce carbon footprint and respond to the needs of system operators. However, to scale in a multitude of buildings, the transferability of the modeling into heterogeneous systems is crucial. In this paper, two different interpretable linear models, a hybrid (grey-box) and a fully data-driven (black-box) model are investigated. Specifically, two regression-based identification methods (SINDYc and DMDc) are used for dynamic models and the LASSO regression is used for static models. The transferability of the approach is evaluated using two real-world facilities with heterogeneous sizing and configuration. The results show a similar simulation performance for both cases with a maximum normalized RMSE of 0.41 and 0.60, respectively. This confirms the transferability of the approach that is necessary for large-scale implementation. © 2023 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Rainfall plays a significant role in managing the water level in the *** unpredictable amount of rainfall due to the climate change can cause either overflow or dry in the *** individuals,especially those in the agricultural sector,rely on rain *** rainfall is challenging because of the changing nature of the *** area of Jimma in southwest Oromia,Ethiopia is the subject of this research,which aims to develop a rainfall forecasting *** estimate Jimma's daily rainfall,we propose a novel approach based on optimizing the parameters of long short-term memory(LSTM)using Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)optimization algorithm for boosting the fore-casting accuracy.N ash-Sutcliffe model eficiency(NSE),mean square error(MSE),root MSE(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),and R2 were all used in the conducted experiments to assess the proposed approach,with final scores of(0.61),(430.81),(19.12),and(11.09),***,we compared the proposed model to current machine-learning regression models;such as non-optimized LSTM,bidirectional LSTM(BiLSTM),gated recurrent unit(GRU),and convolutional LSTM(ConvLSTM).It was found that the proposed approach achieved the lowest RMSE of(19.12).In addition,the experimental results show that the proposed model has R-with a value outperforming the other models,which confirms the superiority of the proposed *** the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to measure the significance and stability of the proposed approach and the recorded results proved the expected perfomance.

The Internet of Things(IoT)is a modern approach that enables connection with a wide variety of devices *** to the resource constraints and open nature of IoT nodes,the routing protocol for low power and lossy(RPL)networks may be vulnerable to several routing ***’s why a network intrusion detection system(NIDS)is needed to guard against routing assaults on RPL-based IoT *** imbalance between the false and valid attacks in the training set degrades the performance of machine learning employed to detect network ***,we propose in this paper a novel approach to balance the dataset classes based on metaheuristic optimization applied to locality-sensitive hashing and synthetic minority oversampling technique(LSH-SMOTE).The proposed optimization approach is based on a new hybrid between the grey wolf and dipper throated optimization *** prove the effectiveness of the proposed approach,a set of experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of NIDS for three cases,namely,detection without dataset balancing,detection with SMOTE balancing,and detection with the proposed optimized LSHSOMTE *** results showed that the proposed approach outperforms the other approaches and could boost the detection *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to study the significance and stability of the proposed *** conducted experiments include seven different types of attack cases in the RPL-NIDS17 *** on the 2696 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 proposed approach,the achieved accuracy is(98.1%),sensitivity is(97.8%),and specificity is(98.8%).

Fault detection in electric drives is crucial for ensuring operational reliability and minimizing downtime. This paper provides a brief overview of the methods based on machine learning used for fault detection in electric drives. Additional this research presents a machine learning approach that utilizes the Long Short-Term Memory Autoencoder model for fault detection deal with bearing faults. A flowchart illustrating the implementation steps of the Long Short-Term Memory Autoencoder algorithm is included. Additionally, a case study on bearing faults in an electric drive system is presented to demonstrate the advantage of the proposed approach. By training the Long Short-Term Memory Autoencoder on operational data, accurate prediction of bearing faults is achieved, enabling timely maintenance interventions. It is shown that in the 7th epoch of training, the model achieved a notably high accuracy more than $\mathbf{9 9 \%}$. The results highlight the potential of Long Short-Term Memory Autoencoder models as a valuable tool for fault detection in electric drives, thereby improving system reliability and performance.

Performance-Aware control of Modular Batteries For Fast Frequency Response

Modular batteries can be aggregated to deliver frequency regulation services for power grids. Although utilizing the idle capacity of battery modules is financially attractive, it remains challenging to consider the heterogeneous module-level characteristics such as dynamic operational efficiencies and battery degradation. In addition, real-time decision making within seconds is required to enable fast frequency response. In order to address these issues, this paper proposes a performance-aware scheduling approach for battery modules to deliver fast frequency response (FFR) support. In particular, the conduction loss and switching loss of battery packs as well as converters are captured within a mix-integer quadratic constrained program (MIQCP). The cycle-based aging model identifies the aging cost of battery modules during frequent cycling by introducing the aging subgradient calculation and linearization. Case studies based on real-world battery data show that the proposed scheduling approach can effectively reduce power loss cost by nearly 28%-57% and battery aging cost by 4%-15% compared to conventional methods, which can also enhance the SoC balance. © 2010-2012 IEEE.

The paper solves the problem of building a control system for steam pressure at a Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP). Functioning of the regulator in terms of practical implementation is analyzed. The main features of the technological process which affect the effective management of the automation object are identified. It is considered complex coal-fired CHP plants with common steam line and drum boiler in a combined cycle of generating electricity and heat which provides a common primary frequency control in the power system. Authors was obtained the mathematical model of the plant for one of the boiler units of the Blagoveshchensk CHP. Data processing was carried out by authors with the help of the method of passive experiment. Analysis of the system operation was shown that the control plant can be described with a sufficient degree of accuracy by a parametrically undefined model with changing structure and delay. Various Matlab simulation sessions demonstrate the good quality of the proposed solutions when changing both the parameters and structure of the system. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper constructs a non-cooperative/cooperative stochasticdifferential game model to prove that the optimal strategies trajectory ofagents in a system with a topological configuration of a Multi-Local-Worldgraph would converge into a certain attractor if the system’s configuration isfixed. Due to the economics and management property, almost all systems aredivided into several independent Local-Worlds, and the interaction betweenagents in the system is more complex. The interaction between agents inthe same Local-World is defined as a stochastic differential cooperativegame;conversely, the interaction between agents in different Local-Worldsis defined as a stochastic differential non-cooperative game. We construct anon-cooperative/cooperative stochastic differential game model to describethe interaction between agents. The solutions of the cooperative and noncooperativegames are obtained by invoking corresponding theories, and thena nonlinear operator is constructed to couple these two solutions *** last, the optimal strategies trajectory of agents in the system is proven toconverge into a certain attractor, which means that strategies trajectory arecertainty as time tends to infinity or a large positive integer. It is concluded thatthe optimal strategy trajectory with a nonlinear operator of cooperative/noncooperativestochastic differential game between agents can make agentsin a certain Local-World coordinate and make the Local-World paymentmaximize, and can make the all Local-Worlds equilibrated;furthermore, theoptimal strategy of the coupled game can converge into a particular attractorthat decides the optimal property.

Selecting the most relevant subset of features from a dataset is a vital step in data mining and machine *** feature in a dataset has 2n possible subsets,making it challenging to select the optimum collection of features using typical *** a result,a new metaheuristicsbased feature selection method based on the dipper-throated and grey-wolf optimization(DTO-GW)algorithms has been developed in this *** can result when the selection of features is subject to metaheuristics,which can lead to a wide range of ***,we adopted hybrid optimization in our method of optimizing,which allowed us to better balance exploration and harvesting chores more *** propose utilizing the binary DTO-GW search approach we previously devised for selecting the optimal subset of *** the proposed method,the number of features selected is minimized,while classification accuracy is *** test the proposed method’s performance against eleven other state-of-theart approaches,eight datasets from the UCI repository were used,such as binary grey wolf search(bGWO),binary hybrid grey wolf,and particle swarm optimization(bGWO-PSO),bPSO,binary stochastic fractal search(bSFS),binary whale optimization algorithm(bWOA),binary modified grey wolf optimization(bMGWO),binary multiverse optimization(bMVO),binary bowerbird optimization(bSBO),binary hysteresis optimization(bHy),and binary hysteresis optimization(bHWO).The suggested method is superior 4532 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 and successful in handling the problem of feature selection,according to the results of the experiments.

The article studies algorithms synthesis of a multiply connected system for controlling non-affine plants, the state variables of which are not available for direct measurement. It is shown that the decentralized control law constructed on the basis of the hyperstability criterion eliminates the influence of non-linearities and compensates external and parametric perturbations in the tracking multiply connected system with the required accuracy. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
