we introduced image encryption algorithms with high sensitivity, such that even a single alteration in a plain-text image would result in a complete transformation of the ciphered image. The first algorithm employed pixel values in a substitution approach, whereas the second algorithm utilized pixel values to generate chaotic function keys. Additionally, we employed a Rossler chaotic function with pixel data to generate chaotic values for the shuffling and substitution processes. After subjecting these algorithms to rigorous testing using standard metrics, our experiments revealed the efficiency of the algorithms in image encryption. Notably, even a minute change in the original image resulted in a vastly different ciphered image. These proposed algorithms underscored the effectiveness of integrating chaotic functions with pixel information, significantly enhancing image security. © 2024 IEEE.

A brain tumor is a mass or growth of abnormal cells in the *** children and adults,brain tumor is considered one of the leading causes of *** are several types of brain tumors,including benign(non-cancerous)and malignant(cancerous)*** brain tumors as early as possible is essential,as this can improve the chances of successful treatment and *** this problem,we bring forth a hybrid intelligent deep learning technique that uses several pre-trained models(Resnet50,Vgg16,Vgg19,U-Net)and their integration for computer-aided detection and localization systems in brain *** pre-trained and integrated deep learning models have been used on the publicly available dataset from The Cancer Genome *** dataset consists of 120 *** pre-trained models have been used to classify tumor or no tumor images,while integrated models are applied to segment the tumor region *** have evaluated their performance in terms of loss,accuracy,intersection over union,Jaccard distance,dice coefficient,and dice coefficient *** pre-trained models,the U-Net model achieves higher performance than other models by obtaining 95%*** contrast,U-Net with ResNet-50 out-performs all other models from integrated pre-trained models and correctly classified and segmented the tumor region.

Side lobe level reduction(SLL)of antenna arrays significantly enhances the signal-to-interference ratio and improves the quality of service(QOS)in recent and future wireless communication systems starting from 5G up to ***,it improves the array gain and directivity,increasing the detection range and angular resolution of radar *** study proposes two highly efficient SLL reduction *** techniques are based on the hybridization between either the single convolution or the double convolution algorithms and the genetic algorithm(GA)to develop the Conv/GA andDConv/GA,*** convolution process determines the element’s excitations while the GA optimizes the element *** M elements linear antenna array(LAA),the convolution of the excitation coefficients vector by itself provides a new vector of excitations of length N=(2M−1).This new vector is divided into three different sets of excitations including the odd excitations,even excitations,and middle excitations of lengths M,M−1,andM,*** the same element spacing as the original LAA is used,it is noticed that the odd and even excitations provide a much lower SLL than that of the LAA but with amuch wider half-power beamwidth(HPBW).While the middle excitations give the same HPBWas the original LAA with a relatively higher *** the increased HPBWof the odd and even excitations,the element spacing is optimized using the ***,the synthesized arrays have the same HPBW as the original LAA with a two-fold reduction in the ***,for extreme SLL reduction,the DConv/GA is *** this technique,the same procedure of the aforementioned Conv/GA technique is performed on the resultant even and odd excitation *** provides a relatively wider HPBWthan the original LAA with about quad-fold reduction in the SLL.

Answer Code Validation Program with Test Data Generation for Code Writing Problem in Java Programming Learning Assistant System

In order to support the learning of novice students in Java programming, the web-based Java Programming Learning Assistant System (JPLAS) has been developed. JPLAS offers several types of exercise problems to foster code reading and writing skills at different levels. In JPLAS, the code writing problem (CWP) asks a student to write a source code that will pass the test code given in the assignment where the correctness is verified by running them on JUnit. In this paper, to reduce the teacher’s workload during the marking process, we present the answer code validation program that verifies all the source codes from a large number of students for each assignment and reports the number of passing tests for each source code in the CSV file. Besides, to test a source code with various input data, we implement the test data generation algorithm that identifies the data type, generates new data, and replaces it for each test data in the test code. Furthermore, to verify the correctness of the implemented procedures in the source code, we introduce the intermediate state testing in the test code. For evaluations, we applied the proposal to source codes and test codes in a Java programming course in Okayama university, Japan, and confirmed the validity and effectiveness. © 2024, International Association of Engineers. The performance of a wireless communication system depends to a large extent on the wireless channel. Due to the multipath fading environment during the radio wave propagation, channel prediction plays a vital role to enable adaptive transmission for wireless communication systems. Predicting various channel characteristics by using neural networks can help address more complex communication environments. However, achieving this goal typically requires the simultaneous use of multiple distinct neural models, which is undoubtedly unaffordable for mobile communications. Therefore, it is necessary to enable a simpler structure to simultaneously predict multiple channel characteristics. In this paper, we propose a fading channel prediction method using phasor quaternion neural networks (PQNNs) to predict the polarization states, with phase information involved to enhance the channel compensation ability. We evaluate the performance of the proposed PQNN method in two different fading situations in an actual environment, and we find that the proposed scheme provides 2.8 dB and 4.0 dB improvements at bit error rate (BER) of 10−4, showing better BER performance in light and serious fading situations, respectively. This work also reveals that by treating polarization information and phase information as a single entity, the model can leverage their physical correlation to achieve improved performance. © 2023 The Authors.

A Self-Adapting and Efficient Dandelion Algorithm and Its Application to Feature Selection for Credit Card Fraud Detection

A dandelion algorithm(DA) is a recently developed intelligent optimization algorithm for function optimization problems. Many of its parameters need to be set by experience in DA,which might not be appropriate for all optimization problems. A self-adapting and efficient dandelion algorithm is proposed in this work to lower the number of DA's parameters and simplify DA's structure. Only the normal sowing operator is retained;while the other operators are discarded. An adaptive seeding radius strategy is designed for the core dandelion. The results show that the proposed algorithm achieves better performance on the standard test functions with less time consumption than its competitive peers. In addition, the proposed algorithm is applied to feature selection for credit card fraud detection(CCFD), and the results indicate that it can obtain higher classification and detection performance than the-state-of-the-art methods.
