The safety system is defined in BS/EN764-7(2002) (Safety systems for unfired pressure equipment) European Standard which is equipped with pressure releasing means (e.g, safety valve, reliefe valve, rapture disk). However, this safety system is not adequately functional as a safety system because the pressure releasing means cannot ensure the security for safe-side failures or degradation characteristics. In view of this, this paper presentation an interlock system applicable to pneumatic driving systems based on the safety (confirmation) principle. This system in the Safety-related parts (system) without giving (harm) the effects of hazardous side of error to stop the run of the load by the power source shut off from the possibility of hazardous side of error, it is practical there is no contradiction in ISO12100, ISO13849 international standard. The interlock system discussion about the suitability of the safety system defined in BS/EN764-7. As a result, the consideration for ensuring the reliability in "Safety of the control" by BS/EN764-7 is requested by adopting the safety system of the interlock system. © (2015) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Based on the experiential learning theory, this paper aims to explore the learning cycle of the organization members with mentoring, and uses SEM to verify this hypothesis. An organization with mentoring system has been conducted to illustrate the applicability of the research model. The samples are the employees and they are the mentorship of the mentee role within the organizations. Valid questionnaires are 608. Research finds that experiential learning cycle shows significant positive influence to every mentee. Therefore if enterprises want the mentee to obtain the experience, to have positive comments and concrete experiences, they should strengthen the staff's (the mentee's) observing, abstract concept as well as the feeling and realizing by active learning. © 2011 IEEE.

Relationship Between Urban Road Traffic Characteristics and Road Grade Based on a Time Series Clustering Model： A Case Study in Nanjing, China

With the increasing number of vehicles in large-and medium-sized cities challenges in urban traffic management, control, and road planning are being faced. Taxi GPS trajectory data is a novel data source that can be used to study the potential dynamic traffic characteristics of urban roads, and thus identify locations that show a notable lack of road planning. Considering that road traffic characteristics on their own are insufficient for a comprehensive understanding of urban traffic, we develop a road traffic characteristic time series clustering model to analyze the relationship between urban road traffic characteristics and road grade based on existing taxi trajectory data. We select the main urban area of Nanjing as our study area and use the taxi trajectory data of a single month for evaluating our method. The experiments show that the clustering model exhibit good performance and can be successfully used for road traffic characteristic classification. Moreover, we analyze the correlation between traffic characteristics and road grade to identify road segments with planning designs that do not match the actual traffic demands.

This study aimed to examine the influence of mentor's cognition trust to the system satisfaction and the degree of knowledge transfer with the implementation of e-mentoring system. The samples of the study are the financial & insurance company's managers (mainly male) and they are the mentor role. 30 valid questionnaires were completed (effective rate 70%). The research found that an official assignment mentoring roles and the better relationship of master-apprentice lead to the higher e-mentoring system satisfaction. The longer period of mentoring is, the better relationships between master and apprentice get which lead to more mutual trust as well as the higher degree of knowledge transfer. Finally, the related factors in the implementation of e-mentoring will be offered to the organization to reach a more harmonious interaction between mentor and mentee and to give a positive effect to the degree of knowledge transfer. © 2011 IEEE.

This study focused on the social context dimension to elucidate how students of different disciplinary backgrounds—department of Childcare and department of Design—share their learning and knowledge in a cooperative course and to evaluate the effectiveness of the integrated course operation. Design-based learning through a project activity includes the following four dimensions: the project’s features, teachers’ roles, assessment process, and social context relevant to the learning environment. In this study, a design-based collaborative course was implemented for undergraduate students from different departments. In this course, they cooperated in making an instructional animated film for kindergarten students. In the general learning process, students can experience frustration and loss of self-confidence when learning new skills;this was also noted in the present study when childcare students without a design background were instructed to make a film, and design students without experience in teaching methodologies were instructed to teach children. The result of the 18-week course indicated that students had trouble communicating with those from the other department but were ultimately satisfied with the substantial growth in their practical skills following this experimental cross-disciplinary cooperative curriculum. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature B.V.

This paper describes the variables of job characteristics, work commitments and job satisfaction. We studied 400 Thai employees in Taiwan. AB people are moderators, and that Type A people are easily irritated, highly competitive, and are always in a hurry. Job characteristics do not affect job satisfaction, but work commitments affect job satisfaction. ©2010 IEEE.

Effects of virtual reality on creativity performance and perceived immersion: A study of brain waves

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of virtual reality (VR) application on creative performance and immersion, evaluated through electroencephalography brain wave data to achieve accurate and robust results. In this study, 72 middle school teachers were recruited as participants, and a non-randomized control-group pre-test–post-test design was employed. The experimental group received VR-based design instruction, and the control group received lecture-based design training. Our results revealed that VR significantly affects immersion, especially with regard to attention. Additionally, VR had a positive effect on the feasibility of the creative process, although its effects on variety and novelty were inconclusive. VR was significantly correlated with theta, beta, and gamma brain wave activity. VR also increased attention-related and meditation-related brain wave activity and desynchronized alpha waves. Practitioner notes: What is already known about this topic VR is used in many areas. VR in education is getting more important day after day. What this paper adds VR significantly affects immersion, especially with regard to attention. VR had a positive effect on the feasibility of the creative process, although its effects on variety and novelty were inconclusive. VR was significantly correlated with theta, beta, and gamma brain wave activity. VR also increased attention-related and meditation-related brain wave activity and desynchronized alpha waves. Implications for practice and/or policy User lack of familiarity with VR may also have influenced the results;more VR learning materials should be provided for learners. In addition to using a larger sample, future studies should focus on creative novelty when developing VR content to improve creative processes and outcomes. Familiarizing learners with the use of VR could effectively reduce the cognitive load, as well as contribute to the stimulation of creative brain waves. © 2022 British Educational

This study developed a novel peer assessment system from the approach of knowledge engineering. Gathering information from experts, a dynamic repertory grid was created as a peer assessment form to be used in a computer skills class taught in a vocational school. This form is dynamic in that it allows student reviewers to select personalized assessment criteria from a bank of items, causing students to reflect on the purpose of the assignment being reviewed and how to best characterize the performance of the student completing the assignment as well as providing ample feedback for students. The results compared the performance of the students using the proposed system with that of the ones using conventional approaches, and found that those who applied the proposed approach learned better and made significant improvement.

This research explored the degree of learning self-efficacy of machine learning experience (MLSE) and artificial intelligence learning anxiety (AILA) of elementary and junior high school teachers. The participants were in-service teachers in the technology domain. This research applied the AI2 Robot City, which is a computational thinking board game, to in-service teacher education. The learning content was image classification for AI application. Elementary and junior high school teachers operated the MIT App Inventor(MAI) and Personal Image Classifier(PIC) platform, and trained the model for practicing AI to implement supervised machine learning on the PIC platform. The learners then inserted the model they had trained into the block-based programming environment of MAI. They completed the smart phone app and used the app to recognize the board game cards so as to control the movement of the smart cars on the table map to meet the requirements of the task in the AI2 Robot City board game. In order to understand affective factors such as the self-efficacy and learning anxiety of the elementary and middle school teachers participating in the AI teacher training workshop, the MLSE and AILA scales were administered before and after the classes. A total of 28 samples were collected. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the MLSE of the elementary and junior high school teachers. However, the average AILA degree of the junior high school teachers was significantly higher than that of the elementary school teachers. It was found that AILA was significantly negatively correlated with MLSE. The elementary and junior high school teachers were confident that they could study AI-related courses. However, the AILA of the junior high school teachers was higher than that of the elementary school teachers.
