User authentication is a critical aspect of cybersecurity, traditionally relying on alphanumeric passwords. However, these passwords are prone to various attacks, including brute force, dictionary, and shoulder-surfing attacks. As a result, there has been a shift towards more secure and user-friendly authentication methods. This study evaluates a secured image sequence-based user authentication system utilizing graphical password manipulation. By leveraging the human brain's superior ability to recognize and remember images over text, this system offers enhanced security against traditional password vulnerabilities such as brute force or dictionary attacks. The methodology involves click-based and choice-based graphical techniques, ensuring robust and user-friendly authentication. The proposed system demonstrates significant improvements in password security and usability, achieving a success rate of 92% with high user satisfaction. © 2025 IEEE.

An innovative device called the PV-VVR is made to guard against power outages and variations in voltage in low-voltage home distribution systems. When the photovoltaic system generates enough electricity to meet or exceed residential demand, usually during the day, it disconnects from the utility grid, ensuring stable voltage levels and enhancing energy independence. This innovation reduces emissions, which not only increases power supply dependability but also advances environmental sustainability. The PV-VVR is an affordable option for incorporating renewable energy into home systems because it also helps to reduce panel tariff expenses. © 2024 IEEE.

Sorting algorithms are fundamental in various computing *** this paper, we introduce a CUDA-based acceleration of the Timsort algorithm, leveraging the parallel processing of GPUs. Our implementation strategically decomposes the sorting process into parallel tasks, effectively surmounting inherent challenges related to synchronization and load balancing. Our experimental findings reveal a substantial speedup compared to CPU-based Timsort implementations. This acceleration renders our approach highly promising for real-world applications. Notably, our results demonstrate that the Timsort algorithm achieves a remarkable speed enhancement ranging from 22x to 48x when employing CUDA, relative to CPU-based executions, across diverse dataset sizes. These findings underscore the efficacy and applicability of our CUDA-accelerated Timsort in addressing the growing demand for faster sorting algorithms in contemporary computing scenarios.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) which is a rapidly spreading virus disease is considered as a huge crisis that the world is facing today, firstly happened in Wuhan city in China in the year 2019 December and within months spread to other countries. To date, total death in the world due to covid-19 exceeded 6 million and in India over 5 lakhs of lives have already vanished due to the virus attack. The losses are compounding every day. Diagnosis of the virus is most important because most of persons may be asymptomatic. Surprisingly, it has been listed by many studies that cough is the main reason for spreading the virus easily. In this paper, the virus detection is done using neural networks and a machine learning algorithm using recorded cough sounds. A virufy dataset containing recorded cough samples is taken for the research. Deep learning has been done using ResNet50 and XGBOOST is the classification algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper introduces bit-interleaved polar coded modulation with iterative detection/decoding(BIPCM-ID).In order to enable the soft output of successive cancellation list(SCL)decoding,two types of re-encoders are proposed,namely the max-re-encoder and min-re-encoder,*** the iterative decoding,we analytically verify that the average mutual information(AMI)between the transmitted and decoded symbols can approach the Shannon bound with the proposed ***,bit error rate(BER)and block error rate(BLER)in single-user and multi-user scenarios are ***,simulation results show that the performance of BIPCMID outperforms other bit-interleaved coded modulation(BICM)systems with LDPC and Turbo codes,while also reducing the computational complexity.

Higher education institutions in implementing information systems need strategic planning, especially for Polytechnics in Indonesia. It is intended that the application of the information system is in accordance with the vision, mission and objectives of the Polytechnic. The Polytechnic information system strategic planning uses the Enterprise Architecture Planning method. The Enterprise Architecture Planning method provides an overview of data architecture, application architecture and technology architecture from the application of information systems so that the Polytechnic is not wrong in implementing information systems. The result of this research is the form or formulation of information system strategic plan which is suitable for higher education especially for Polytechnic. The information system strategic plan consists of a data architecture, there are 41 entities, while for data and application architectures there are 8 application candidates. In addition, the results of the information system strategic plan in the technology architecture section to support the Polytechnic business processes are also built. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

An acknowledgement of context-based advertising for the audience watching cricket can involve identifying the game of cricket based on the various batting shots, creating sensor-based commentary systems, and creating coaching assistants. This research identifies different cricket shot problems from a vast-scale cricket shot video dataset. The study uses a large dataset of annotated cricket shots that spans a variety of game formats and captures different shot types and player styles. Some cricket shots are the action we find most attractive in cricket videos. Those shots are often captured by cameras installed at the cricket ground's stands at both ends of the cricket pitch. To identify 4 different cricket batting shots from offline footage, this research paper presents a novel approach to classify cricket shots based on deep learning techniques. In this research, we propose a multi-stage classification pipeline for cricket shots, which combines dimensionality reduction, feature extraction, and classification techniques of cricket shots. Before classification, we have preprocessed the dataset that we prepared. The image data was extracted from the video containing around 3000 image frames. The dataset has four classes: i.e. pull shot, square drive, straight drive, and uppercut. The preprocessing steps are normalization, resize, and histogram equalization. After that a scratch model is designed and the model is trained based on the architecture of the scratch model. Finally, we have found the model's accuracy for our prepared dataset is 98.18 percent.

Consumers are increasingly accepting of items based on a sustainable design or project;as a result, corporations should consider these several characteristics while developing new products. In this work we intend to analyse the environmental impact of the production and manufacturing from the conception and design stage, up to the disassembly of the products, using software and simulation routines dedicated to the assessment of the environmental impact of the materials, production, distribution and end-of-life strategies using the SOLIDWORKS Sustainability. The work is divided into several parts: definition of sustainability in the development of products;legal proceeding;environmental impact analysis studies throughout the life cycle assessment (LCA) of a product;case study of a plastic cup. The environmental impact of materials will be studied from the stage of obtaining raw materials, through transport, production, use and disposal (or restart as a new product) supported by the concept of circular economy. Finally, simulations of production process variables will be carried out to minimize the environmental impact, reduce waste and energy, which will have multiple beneficial implications for the industry. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.
