Adaptive multi-channel Bayesian graph attention network for IoT transaction security

With the rapid advancement of 5G technology,the Internet of Things(IoT)has entered a new phase of appli-cations and is rapidly becoming a significant force in promoting economic *** to the vast amounts of data created by numerous 5G IoT devices,the Ethereum platform has become a tool for the storage and sharing of IoT device data,thanks to its open and tamper-resistant ***,Ethereum account security is necessary for the Internet of Things to grow quickly and improve people's *** modeling Ethereum trans-action records as a transaction network,the account types are well identified by the Ethereum account classifi-cation system established based on Graph Neural Networks(GNNs).This work first investigates the Ethereum transaction ***,experimental metrics reveal that the Ethereum transaction network is neither optimal nor even satisfactory in terms of accurately representing transactions per *** flaw may significantly impede the classification capability of GNNs,which is mostly governed by their *** work proposes an Adaptive Multi-channel Bayesian Graph Attention Network(AMBGAT)for Ethereum account clas-sification to address this *** uses attention to enhance node features,estimate graph topology that conforms to the ground truth,and efficiently extract node features pertinent to downstream *** extensive experiment with actual Ethereum transaction data demonstrates that AMBGAT obtains competitive performance in the classification of Ethereum accounts while accurately estimating the graph topology.

Generator tripping scheme(GTS)is the most commonly used scheme to prevent power systems from losing safety and ***,GTS is composed of offline predetermination and real-time scenario ***,it is extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive for manual predetermination for a large-scale modern power *** improve efficiency of predetermination,this paper proposes a framework of knowledge fusion-based deep reinforcement learning(KF-DRL)for intelligent predetermination of ***,the Markov Decision Process(MDP)for GTS problem is formulated based on transient instability ***,linear action space is developed to reduce dimensionality of action space for multiple controllable ***,KF-DRL leverages domain knowledge about GTS to mask invalid actions during the decision-making *** can enhance the efficiency and learning ***,the graph convolutional network(GCN)is introduced to the policy network for enhanced learning *** simulation results obtained on New England power system demonstrate superiority of the proposed KF-DRL framework for GTS over the purely data-driven DRL method.

Energy Efficient Dual User Association for Large Scale IRS-Aided mmWave Communication Networks

The deployment of multiple intelligent reflecting surfaces(IRSs)in blockage-prone millimeter wave(mmWave)communication networks have garnered considerable attention *** the remarkably low circuit power consumption per IRS element,the aggregate energy consumption becomes substantial if all elements of an IRS are turned on given a considerable number of IRSs,resulting in lower overall energy efficiency(EE).To tackle this challenge,we propose a flexible and efficient approach that individually controls the status of each IRS ***,the network EE is maximized by jointly optimizing the associations of base stations(BSs)and user equipments(UEs),transmit beamforming,phase shifts of IRS elements,and the associations of individual IRS elements and *** problem is efficiently addressed in two ***,the Gale-Shapley algorithm is applied for BS-UE association,followed by a block coordinate descent-based algorithm that iteratively solves the subproblems related to active beamforming,phase shifts,and element-UE *** reduce the tremendous dimensionality of optimization variables introduced by element-UE associations in large-scale IRS networks,we introduce an efficient algorithm to solve the associations between IRS elements and *** results show that the proposed elementwise control scheme improves EE by 34.24% compared to the network with IRS-all-on scheme.

This study investigates whether high-resolution brain-functional connectivity, which is measured by using Electroencephalography (EEG) combined with Hilbert Huang Transform (HHT) can be useful in Alzheimer Disease Diagnosis. The major issue with Alzheimer's disease (AD) is that it leads to cognitive decline and affects millions of people worldwide. Early prediction of the disease is mandatory and crucial for timely intervention and effective care. EEG signals, a non-invasive and cost-effective method to assess brain activity, have shown potential in predicting this disease. In this study, we propose an approach that utilizes EEG data combined with Hilbert-Huang Transform (HHT) and machine learning algorithms for classification which is a novelty of the study that enables early prediction of Alzheimer's disease. Our methodology was tested on a dataset comprising EEG signals recorded using 19 electrodes from both healthy individuals and patients with Alzheimer's and the Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). The results were promising, demonstrating high accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. Machine learning techniques can be employed for categorizing EEG signals, but it essential to validate their effectiveness using large and diverse datasets. This research highlights the potential of HHT and EEG data in the prediction of this disease. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is used for dimensional reduction of the dataset. Notably EEG signals combined with Hilbert Huang Transform and Principal Component Analysis gives better accuracy of 98.6% for KNN. This research highlights the potential of EEG analysis combined with advanced techniques for accurate classification of dementia-related disorders. © 2024 IEEE.

Tool condition monitoring is vital for enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and improving product quality in manufacturing industries. Existing approaches, such as threshold-based methods, sensor-based methods, and machine learning-based techniques, have limitations in terms of accuracy, adaptability, interpretability, and computational costs. This research proposes a tool condition monitoring system based on the Self-Organizing Map (SOM) algorithm and the Hebbian learning algorithm. The system is implemented on a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) platform for real-time processing in manufacturing environments. A dataset is acquired using sensors, pre-processed, and divided into training and testing sets. The SOM-Hebb classifier is designed with appropriate parameters, and the tool condition monitoring algorithm involves projection histograms, discrete Fourier transform (DFT), and the SOM-Hebb classifier. The FPGA implementation achieves high-speed processing and meets timing constraints. Simulation results demonstrate the system's functionality and accuracy, with a classification accuracy of 99.22%. The system exhibits a processing time of 35 clock cycles. This research provides a promising approach for efficient and accurate tool condition monitoring in manufacturing industries. © 2023 IEEE.

Optimal switching control design for industrial networked control system with uncertain exogenous dynamics

Industrial networked control system performance can be compromised through introduction of intended attacks by intruders. Several ways have been reported in literature to introduce attacks like denial-of-service, packet dropout, and delays etc. in Industrial networked control system. Attacks may be designed based on the system knowledge gathered through eavesdropping process. This article deals with problem of constrained optimal switching control design with industrial networked control system (iNCS) through avoiding performance deteriorating uncertain exogenous dynamics. To characterize and detect the abnormal behaviour of iNCS a random distribution process is adopted which represent the attack sequence in the process on the plant side. The delays and packet loss are introduced through Bernoulii distribution process to express uncertainty of network and also attack introduced by intruders on either side of tightly coupled component. The iNCS performance is evaluated with uncertain exogenous dynamics i.e. packet loss 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, delays, and malicious attack. The proposed design guarantees the transient and steady state performance of linear-time-invariant iNCS. The proposed design methodology evaluated under switching of optimal predictive control performance of networked system with simulation of numerical problem. © 2022

Skin segmentation participates significantly in various biomedical applications,such as skin cancer identification and skin lesion *** paper presents a novel framework for segmenting the *** framework contains two main stages:The first stage is for removing different types of noises from the dermoscopic images,such as hair,speckle,and impulse noise,and the second stage is for segmentation of the dermoscopic images using an attention residual U-shaped Network(U-Net).The framework uses variational Autoencoders(VAEs)for removing the hair noises,the Generative Adversarial Denoising Network(DGAN-Net),the Denoising U-shaped U-Net(D-U-NET),and Batch Renormalization U-Net(Br-U-NET)for remov-ing the speckle noise,and the Laplacian Vector Median Filter(MLVMF)for removing the impulse *** the second main stage,the residual attention u-net was used for *** framework achieves(35.11,31.26,27.01,and 26.16),(36.34,33.23,31.32,and 28.65),and(36.33,32.21,28.54,and 27.11)for removing hair,speckle,and impulse noise,respectively,based on Peak Signal Noise Ratio(PSNR)at the level of(0.1,0.25,0.5,and 0.75)of *** framework also achieves an accuracy of nearly 94.26 in the dice score in the process of segmentation before removing noise and 95.22 after removing different types of *** experiments have shown the efficiency of the used model in removing noise according to the structural similarity index measure(SSIM)and PSNR and in the segmentation process as well.
