The Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP)-based real-time communications (RTC) applications, exemplified by video conferencing, have experienced an unparalleled surge in popularity and development in recent years. In pursuit of optimizing their performance, the prediction of Quality of Service (QoS) metrics emerges as a pivotal endeavor, bolstering network monitoring and proactive solutions. However, contemporary approaches are confined to individual RTP flows and metrics, falling short in relationship capture and computational efficiency. To this end, we propose Packet-to-Prediction (P2P), a novel deep learning (DL) framework that hinges on raw packets to simultaneously process concurrent RTP flows and perform end-to-end prediction of multiple QoS metrics. Specifically, we implement a streamlined architecture, namely length-free Transformer with cross and neighbourhood attention, capable of handling an unlimited number of RTP flows, and employ a multi-task learning paradigm to forecast four key metrics in a single shot. Our work is based on extensive traffic collected during real video calls, and conclusively, P2P excels comparative models in both prediction performance and temporal efficiency.

In high mobility beyond 5G communications, orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) is a promising alternative to orthogonal frequency division multiplexing. In addition to the superior communication performance, OTFS is also a natural choice for radar sensing. In this work, we investigate the estimation problem with multi-target parameters for the OTFS-based radar sensing system. To begin with, we recap the fundamental concepts in OTFS and present the input-output relation of OTFS symbols in the delay-Doppler domain. Then, we conceive a multitarget parameter estimation algorithm for range and velocity parameter estimation. Finally, numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can get the multi-target parameters with a high estimation accuracy.

This paper introduces a new variational Gaussian filtering approach for estimating the state of a nonlinear dynamic system. We first assume that the predictive distribution of the state is Gaussian and derive an iterative method for updating the state posterior in the natural parameter space through KullbackLeibler divergence minimization. The obtained update rule is the same as that of the conjugate-computation variational inference technique in Bayesian learning. The derivation here is simpler and more insightful. We then impose a Wishart prior on the inverse of the state prediction covariance to take into account the impact of approximating the state predictive distribution using a Gaussian density on the state posterior estimation. The prediction covariance is identified jointly with the state using variational inference and the established state posterior update rule to achieve the desired Gaussian filtering. Simulation study examines the performance of the proposed filtering framework in target tracking based on bearing and range measurements. © 2024 ISIF.

The Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) models have provided mixed results to solve linear problems, so it is not widely used for any data types. The autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model is a massive, very popular, and connivance linear model for long time series forecasting. Mainly used to construct different hybrid models for forecasting other time series data in the last decade. The study analyzes ARIMA and Holt-Winters (HW) forecasting procedure analysis. The machine learning and deep learning model have good frameworks that can apply to multiple forecasting processes with good precision and accuracy. Autoregressive Integrated moving average (ARIMA) and Holt-Winters (HW) approaches have been used to forecasting time series climatic variables. The two different forecasting methods are generated, and the output of both methods is compared by the climate variables rainfall and temperature for monthly data of 2001-2021. © 2024 IEEE.

Applications of internet-of-things(IoT)are increasingly being used in many facets of our daily life,which results in an enormous volume of *** computing and fog computing,two of the most common technologies used in IoT applications,have led to major security *** are on the rise as a result of the usage of these technologies since present security measures are *** artificial intelligence(AI)based security solutions,such as intrusion detection systems(IDS),have been proposed in recent *** technologies that require data preprocessing and machine learning algorithm-performance augmentation require the use of feature selection(FS)techniques to increase classification accuracy by minimizing the number of features *** the other hand,metaheuristic optimization algorithms have been widely used in feature selection in recent *** this paper,we proposed a hybrid optimization algorithm for feature selection in *** proposed algorithm is based on grey wolf(GW),and dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithms and is referred to as *** proposed algorithm has a better balance between the exploration and exploitation steps of the optimization process and thus could achieve better *** the employed IoT-IDS dataset,the performance of the proposed GWDTO algorithm was assessed using a set of evaluation metrics and compared to other optimization approaches in 2678 CMC,2023,vol.74,no.2 the literature to validate its *** addition,a statistical analysis is performed to assess the stability and effectiveness of the proposed *** results confirmed the superiority of the proposed approach in boosting the classification accuracy of the intrusion in IoT-based networks.

Enterprise-focused blockchain applications that offer safe, anonymous, and immutable transactions are growing as blockchain technology matures. Traditional blockchain architecture has low performance and scalability, making it unsuitable for enterpriselevel applications with high concurrency and massive data. This paper studies and proposes a simplified Byzantine fault-tolerant (SBFT) consensus algorithm to improve consensus stage efficiency, a Task parallel smart contract model to maximise multi-core system parallel efficiency, and an improved blockchain system architecture to reflect the lightweight, low coupling nature of blockchain technology. It facilitates corporate application secondary development and the ParaChain blockchain and smart contract technology. Experimental verification compares the parallelization - based ParaChain blockchain’s TPS and scalability. PBFT-based blockchain systems have been greatly improved. © 2024 The Author(s).

The rapid population growth results in a crucial problem in the early detection of diseases inmedical *** all the cancers unveiled,breast cancer is considered the second most severe ***,an exponential rising in death cases incurred by breast cancer is expected due to the rapid population growth and the lack of resources required for performing medical *** recent advances in machine learning could help medical staff in diagnosing diseases as they offer effective,reliable,and rapid responses,which could help in decreasing the death *** this paper,we propose a new algorithm for feature selection based on a hybrid between powerful and recently emerged optimizers,namely,guided whale and dipper throated *** proposed algorithm is evaluated using four publicly available breast cancer *** evaluation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach from the accuracy and speed *** prove the superiority of the proposed algorithm,a set of competing feature selection algorithms were incorporated into the conducted *** addition,a group of statistical analysis experiments was conducted to emphasize the superiority and stability of the proposed *** best-achieved breast cancer prediction average accuracy based on the proposed algorithm is 99.453%.This result is achieved in an average time of 3.6725 s,the best result among all the competing approaches utilized in the experiments.

In current era due to the fast growth in telecommunication technologies, there is a drastic expansion in the number of subscribers using communication network. In mobile ad hoc network, mobility of nodes and obstacles present in terrain affect a lot the efficiency of the mobile network. When there is change in mobility and presence of obstacles in terrain, link between neighbour nodes breaks very often as a result of which the network performance degrades. Many authors have investigated the performance degradation of network due to the change in mobility taking various reactive protocols but they have considered presence of obstacles. This paper gives a thorough investigation of the performance degradation due to the variation in mobility of nodes in presence of irregular-sized obstacles in terrain at different traffic conditions. Joint Optimization of Power Allocation and Beamforming for UAV-RIS Communication System

This letter considers the communication system assisted by a fixed-trajector uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV), which is equipped with a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS). For this UAV-RIS assisted system, we jointly optimize the power allocation and active beamforming at the base station (BS) and the passive beamforming at the RIS, by a novel phase block coordinate descent algorithm framework aimed at maximizing the system sum-rate. Specifically, the joint optimization problem is decomposed into two phases, and we propose two optimization algorithms: one for BS power allocation using fractional programming (FP) and the other for jointly optimizing active and passive beamforming using FP-manifold, which alternately optimize two phases. Simulation results not only highlight the rapid convergence and evident superiority of our proposed framework but also reveal that the optimal UAV-RIS placement is related to the flight height. © 2012 IEEE.
