This paper investigated the predictive capabilities of three decision tree models for IoT botnet attack prediction using packet information while minimizing the number of predictors. The study employed three decision tree models (C5, CHAID, and Random Forest) and two additional models (Logistic Regression and Bayesian Network) for comparison purposes. The IoT botnet attack dataset comprised various devices, mainly two types of attacks (Gafgyt and Mirai) and 23 feature engineering variables. Simulation results from all models showed that Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and False Omission Rate (FOR) values are approximately one, with an F1 score of around 0.5. CHAID and C5 models outperform other models in predicting IoT botnet attacks, as they are developed using only four and two variables, respectively. These results demonstrated that decision tree models with fewer variables can perform better than models that utilize all predictors.

Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology allows vehicles to communicate with numerous transportation system components. To provide safe communication between vehicles and other entities, V2X depends on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). However, the present PKI employed in V2X has certain drawbacks, including scalability and high computational cost. This article offers an enhancement to the current PKI in V2X that tackles these constraints by managing and distributing keys using blockchain technology. The suggested Public Key Infrastructure enhancement is intended to be secure, efficient, and scalable, providing a more solid and trustworthy foundation for V2Xcommunication. The article explains the suggested PKI enhancement and examines its advantages and disadvantages. Overall, the suggested Public Key Infrastructure enhancement has the potential to increase the security and dependability of Vehicle-to-Everything communication, allowing for a secure and more effective transportation system. © 2023 IEEE.

Recent developments on Internet and social networking have led to the growth of aggressive language and hate *** provocation,abuses,and attacks are widely termed cyberbullying(CB).The massive quantity of user generated content makes it difficult to recognize *** advancements in machine learning(ML),deep learning(DL),and natural language processing(NLP)tools enable to detect and classify CB in social *** this view,this study introduces a spotted hyena optimizer with deep learning driven cybersecurity(SHODLCS)model for *** presented SHODLCS model intends to accomplish cybersecurity from the identification of CB in the *** achieving this,the SHODLCS model involves data pre-processing and TF-IDF based feature *** addition,the cascaded recurrent neural network(CRNN)model is applied for the identification and classification of ***,the SHO algorithm is exploited to optimally tune the hyperparameters involved in the CRNN model and thereby results in enhanced classifier *** experimental validation of the SHODLCS model on the benchmark dataset portrayed the better outcomes of the SHODLCS model over the recent approaches.

A disease is a distinct abnormal state that significantly affects the functioning of all or part of an individual and is not caused by external harm. Diseases are frequently understood as medical conditions connected with distinct indications and symptoms. According to a fairly wide categorization, diseases can also be categorized as mental disorders, deficient diseases, genetic diseases, degenerative diseases, self-inflicted diseases, infectious diseases, non-infectious diseases, social diseases, and physical diseases. Prevention of the diseases is of multiple instances. Primary prevention seeks to prevent illness or harm before it ever happens. Secondary prevention tries to lessen the effect of an illness or damage that has already happened. This is done through diagnosing and treating illness or injury as soon as feasible to stop or delay its course, supporting personal ways to avoid recurrence or reinjury, and implementing programs to restore individuals to their previous health and function to prevent long-term difficulties. Tertiary prevention tries to lessen the impact of a continuing sickness or injury that has enduring repercussions. Diagnosis of the disease at an earlier stage is important for the treatment of the disease. Hence, in this study, deep learning algorithms, such as VGG16, EfficientNetB4, and ResNet, are utilized to diagnose various diseases, such as Alzheimer's, brain tumors, skin diseases, and lung diseases. Chest X-rays, MRI scans, CT scans, and skin lesions are used to diagnose the mentioned diseases. Transfer learning algorithms, such as VGG16, VGG19, ResNet, InceptionV3, and EfficientNetB4, are utilized to categorize various diseases. EfficientNetB4 with the learning rate annealing, having obtained an accuracy of 94.04% on the test dataset, is observed. As a consequence, we observed that every network has unique particular skills on the multi-disease dataset, which includes chest X-rays, MRI scans, etc., © The Author(s) 2024.

Nonlinear optical activities,especially second harmonic generation(SHG),are key phenomena in inversion-symmetrybroken two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs).On the other hand,anisotropic nonlinear optical processes are important for unique applications in nano-nonlinear photonic devices with polarization functions,having become one of focused research topics in the field of nonlinear ***,the strong nonlinearity and strong optical anisotropy do not exist simultaneously in common 2D ***,we demonstrate strong secondorder and third-order susceptibilities of 64 pm/V and 6.2×10^(-19)m^(2)/V^(2),respectively,in the even-layer PdPSe,which has not been discovered in other common TMDCs(e.g.,MoS2).Strikingly,it also simultaneously exhibited strong SHG anisotropy with an anisotropic ratio of~45,which is the largest reported among all 2D materials to date,to the best of our *** addition,the SHG anisotropy ratio can be harnessed from 0.12 to 45(375 times)by varying the excitation wavelength due to the dispersion ofχ^(2)*** an illustrative example,we further demonstrate polarized SHG imaging for potential applications in crystal orientation identification and polarization-dependent spatial *** findings in 2D PdPSe are promising for nonlinear nanophotonic and optoelectronic applications.

Learning High-Resolution representations is essential for semantic segmentation. Convolutional neural network (CNN) architectures with downstream and upstream propagation flow are popular for segmentation in medical diagnosis. However, due to performing spatial downsampling and upsampling in multiple stages, information loss is inexorable. On the contrary, connecting layers densely on high spatial resolution is computationally expensive. In this work, we devise a Loose Dense Connection Strategy to connect neurons in subsequent layers with reduced parameters. On top of that, using a m-way Tree structure for feature propagation we propose Receptive Field Chain Network (RFC-Net) that learns high-resolution global features on a compressed computational space. Our experiments demonstrates that RFC-Net achieves state-of-the-art performance on Kvasir and CVC-ClinicDB benchmarks for Polyp segmentation. As an important component of the space-air-ground integrated network, aerial base station (AeBS) systems have gained significant attention for their flexibility in mobility and cost-effective construction. Nevertheless, the scarce spectrum resources and difficulty in accessing global information bring necessity and challenges to the deployment and resource allocation of AeBSs. In this paper, we propose a practical two-timescale framework to solve the resource allocation and deployment optimization problem in multi-AeBS networks. Specifically, the subcarrier allocation problem is first transformed into a many-to-one matching game coupled with power allocation and solved in a small timescale. Then, in a large timescale, the AeBS deployment subproblem is transformed into a distributed partially observable Markov decision process (Dec-POMDP), and then a novel multi-agent hypergraph convolutional deep reinforcement learning (MAHGCDRL) is proposed to solve this problem. The proposed MAHGCDRL extracts features of neighboring AeBSs through hypergraph convolutional networks, enabling AeBS agents to achieve better coordination in a distributed manner. Simulation results show that our proposed approach can attain a higher sum rate, and the proposed MAHGCDRL algorithm achieves better learning performance compared to the existing benchmarks in the literature. © 1972-2012 IEEE.

Recommendation systems are pivotal in industries like entertainment, where competitiveness is intense. This study enhances movie recommendations by utilizing rich datasets from IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes, incorporating movie ratings, user profiles, audience scores, and critics' reviews. These elements were subjected to sentiment analysis to refine the data quality. We explored three filtering techniques: content-based, which analyzes movie features;collaborative, which processes user behavior patterns;and hybrid, combining both to leverage their strengths. The effectiveness of these methods was assessed using Mean Average Precision at k (MAP-k) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), with our results showing notable improvements in recommendation accuracy. For instance, the hybrid method achieved a MAP ©k of 0.271 and an RMSE of 0.634, indicating enhanced precision and reliability of the recommendations. These findings suggest significant potential for improving user satisfaction and retention in digital platforms, demonstrating the benefit of integrating diverse data sources and analytical techniques in recommendation systems.
