Compressed sensing magnetic resonance imaging (CS-MRI) enables fast acquisition, which is highly desirable for numerous clinical applications. However, the quality of the MR images will depend upon the rate of undersampling. Especially, under the extremely undersampling case, if the image obtained by a conventional CS-MRI method is not satisfied, is any remedial measure could be made? In this paper, a refinement framework of CS-MRI will be proposed as the remedial measure. In the refinement framework, the MR image obtained by using the conventional CS-MRI method, will be taken as the training image. A low-rank model associated with a self-learning scheme will be established for the refinement framework. To preserve more detail features and to reduce the complexity, a partial singular value thresholding (SVT) method and an adaptive selection of the regularization parameter will be employed to establish the solver. Numerical simulations show that the proposed framework can be the remedial measure to improve the quality and robustness of MR image reconstruction in the low sampling case. © 2024 IEEE.

Security for Adversarial Wiretap Channels

We consider the wiretap channel, where the individual channel uses have memory or are influenced by an adversary. We analyze the explicit and computationally efficient construction of information-theoretically secure coding schemes which use the inverse of an extractor and an error-correcting code. These schemes are known to achieve secrecy capacity on a large class of memoryless wiretap channels. We show that this also holds for certain channel types with memory. In particular, they can achieve secrecy capacity on channels where an adversary can pick a sequence of "states" governing the channel's behavior, as long as, given every possible state, the channel is strongly symmetric. Contextual Bayesian Optimization (CBO) efficiently optimizes black-box functions with respect to design variables, while simultaneously integrating contextual information regarding the environment, such as experimental conditions. However, the relevance of contextual variables is not necessarily known beforehand. Moreover, contextual variables can sometimes be optimized themselves at an additional cost, a setting overlooked by current CBO algorithms. Cost-sensitive CBO would simply include optimizable contextual variables as part of the design variables based on their cost. Instead, we adaptively select a subset of contextual variables to include in the optimization, based on the trade-off between their relevance and the additional cost incurred by optimizing them compared to leaving them to be determined by the environment. We learn the relevance of contextual variables by sensitivity analysis of the posterior surrogate model while minimizing the cost of optimization by leveraging recent developments on early stopping for BO. We empirically evaluate our proposed Sensitivity-Analysis-Driven Contextual BO (SADCBO) method against alternatives on both synthetic and real-world experiments, together with extensive ablation studies, and demonstrate a consistent improvement across examples.

In this essay, we examine the history and current condition. We begin by outlining the history of big information reviewing similar technologies including centers, and Hadoop. The four stages of the chain-data production, data capture, - are then the main emphasis. Action scene understanding in soccer is a challenging task due to the complex and dynamic nature of the game, as well as the interactions between players. This article provides a comprehensive overview of this task divided into action recognition, spotting, and spatio-temporal action localization, with a particular emphasis on the modalities used and multimodal methods. We explore the publicly available data sources and metrics used to evaluate models' performance. The article reviews recent state-of-the-art methods that leverage deep learning techniques and traditional methods. We focus on multimodal methods, which integrate information from multiple sources, such as video and audio data, and also those that represent one source in various ways. The advantages and limitations of methods are discussed, along with their potential for improving the accuracy and robustness of models. Finally, the article highlights some of the open research questions and future directions in the field of soccer action recognition, including the potential for multimodal methods to advance this field. Overall, this survey provides a valuable resource for researchers interested in the field of action scene understanding in soccer. © 2023, CC BY.

Rescattering of stimulated Raman side scattering(SRSS)is observed for the first time via two-dimensional(2D)particle-in-cell(PIC)*** construct a theoretical model for the rescattering process,which can predict the region of occurrence of mth-order SRSS and estimate its *** rescattering process is identified by the 2D PIC simulations under typical conditions of a direct-drive inertial confinement fusion *** electrons produced by second-order SRSS propagate nearly perpendicular to the density gradient and gain nearly the same energy as in first-order SRSS,but there is no cascade acceleration to produce superhot *** studies for a wide range of ignition conditions show that SRSS and associated rescatterings are robust and important processes in inertial confinement fusion.

Gons and holes in point sets have been extensively studied in the literature. For simple drawings of the complete graph a generalization of the Erdos-Szekeres theorem is known and empty triangles have been investigated. We introduce a notion of k-holes for simple drawings and study their existence with respect to the convexity hierarchy. We present a family of simple drawings without 4-holes and prove a generalization of Gerken's empty hexagon theorem for convex drawings. Using deep learning to predict matched signal-to-noise ratio of gravitational waves

The existing matched filtering method for gravitational wave (GW) search relies on a template bank. The computational efficiency of this method scales with the sizes of the templates within the bank. Higher-order modes and eccentricity will play an important role when third-generation detectors operate in the future. In this case, traditional GW search methods will hit computational limits. To speed up the computational efficiency of GW searches, we propose the utilization of a deep learning (DL) model bank as a substitute for the template bank. This model bank predicts the latent templates embedded in the strain data. Combining an envelope extraction network and an astrophysical origin discrimination network, we realize a novel GW search framework. The framework can predict the GW signal’s matched filtering signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Unlike the end-to-end DL-based GW search method, our statistical SNR holds stronger physical interpretability than the pscore metric. Moreover, the intermediate results generated by our approach, including the predicted template, offer valuable assistance in subsequent GW data processing tasks such as parameter estimation and source localization. Compared to the traditional matched filtering method, the proposed method can realize real-time analysis.
