Several people suffer from sudden falls, which puts them seriously at high risk if they do not get help right away. However, if people own a wearable device, they can utilize it to get them help from a nearest hospital whenever they feel tired or suffer from a sudden fall. Elderly people also tend to live alone. After a fall, it is rare for an elderly person to be able to get up or ask for assistance. Therefore, to enable patients to request assistance even in cases where they are unable to get up after a fall, an advanced fall detection system is required, with appropriate hardware and software components. Wireless sensors and Global Positioning System (GPS) gadgets are among the technologies that can be utilized in this regard. While sensors collect information about movement, a GPS device uses information from satellites to pinpoint an object’s exact location inside a given space. The goal of this paper is to describe a developed and implemented fall detection wearable wristband with lightweight security for health monitoring. In the event of an emergency, the smartphone application will communicate the user’s specific location to the nearest hospital and their emergency contacts. The proposed wristband achieved our goal by developing a system that can communicate with the mobile application. Furthermore, the model testing produced $92 \%$ overall accuracy.

Our original publication Kleinbort et al. (2019) contains an error in the analysis of the case of the kinodynamic RRT. Here, we rectify the problem by modifying the proof of Theorem 2 , which, in particular, necessitated a revision of Lemma 3 . Briefly, the original (and erroneous) proof of Theorem 2 used a sequence of equal-size balls. The correction uses a sequence of balls of increasing radii. We emphasize that the correction is in Lemma 3 and the proof of Theorem 2 only. The main results remain unchanged.

The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) stands as a crucial initiative for farmers’ protection, yet grapples with challenges like delayed claims, inaccurate loss assessments, and uneven aid distribution [1]. This project proposes an innovative solution that addresses these issues by introducing a precision agriculture and risk management framework. The current crop insurance policies rely on an area-based approach and limited weather indices, resulting in an inadequate assessment of individual crop health and losses [2]. This shortfall leads to unjust aid distribution, leaving deserving farmers underserved [3]. The proposed solution advocates for a paradigm shift, incorporating a personalized and technology-driven approach. By integrating remote sensing technology, machine learning algorithms, and comprehensive data analysis, the system optimizes insurance resource allocation, assessing crop and regional risk profiles with precision. Furthermore, the project implements advanced image processing, segmentation, and machine learning models, such as SVM and CNN, for crop detection and yield estimation. The Google Maps API enhances decision support through geo-mapping, providing a transparent and data-driven basis for aid distribution. This innovative approach fosters equity, transparency, and active farmer participation, overcoming the limitations of existing methodologies. With a focus on precision, transparency, and equity, the proposed solution aims to revolutionize the effectiveness of PMFBY, ensuring accurate assessment and targeted aid distribution for farmers facing crop stress and losses.

Illegal fishing is an unresolved and internationally pervasive problem that occurs both on the high seas and in areas within national jurisdiction. Existing technologies use anomaly detection algorithms that examine the data from Automatic Identification System (AIS) and radar cameras having long range. It is capable of covering 44.4 km. These algorithms also include clustering, density-based methods, or neural networks that are used to identify unusual behavior or patterns in fishing vessel data. These algorithms can flag vessels that deviate from typical fishing patterns, helping authorities target suspicious activities. However, they fail to identify the complex patterns and accurately detect illegal fishing. We propose a system that increases the accuracy of algorithms by identifying complex patterns to send an alert to respective authorities. These alerts play a role in decreasing illegal fishing to some extent. Based on [1] US Food and Agriculture Organization’s illegal fishing activities have an economic value of US${\$}$10- 23 billion (estimates) and are responsible for the loss of 11-26 million tons of fish every year. We are proposing a system based on remote sensing data i.e., satellite images with higher resolution
The Rapidly-exploring Random Tree (RRT) algorithm has been one of the most prevalent and popular motion-planning techniques for two decades now. Surprisingly, in spite of its centrality, there has been an active debat...

We demonstrate a practical application of memristors in a cross-bar memory array. The full set-up consists of only a PC, an mBED microcontroller and a PCB hosting external components and the memristor cross-bar chip. The system can be used for general purpose memory storage, but in this case we use it as a binary image storage device. A MATLAB interface allows the user to load a binary image into the memory and observe the resulting internal memory states of each memristor in the array along with key performance metrics describing the speed and degree of success of the memory `write' operation.

We study resource allocation games where allocations to agents are made in proportion to their bids. We show that the existence of a potential function in the allocation space, and a virtual price function are sufficient for the convergence of better response dynamics to Nash equilibrium. Generally, resource allocation games do not admit a potential in their strategy space, and are not in the class of potential games. However, for many interesting examples, including the Kelly mechanism, the best response functions are "well-behaved" on the allocation space, and consequently a potential in that space exists. We demonstrate how our sufficient condition is satisfied by three classes of market mechanisms. The first is the class of smooth market-clearing mechanisms, where the market is cleared using a single nondiscriminatory price. The second example is the class of simple g-mechanisms where an efficient Nash equilibrium is implemented with price discrimination. Finally we show our results apply to a subset of scalar strategy VCG (SSVCG) mechanisms, that generalizes simple g-mechanisms.
