Power network resilience is increasingly dependent on communication networks. Besides traditional generation, power networks need to accommodate increasingly high penetration levels of dispersed micro generation, mostly based on renewable sources, and increasing and challenging demand, such as electric vehicles. At the same time the deployment of enabling technologies throughout the power grid makes available new demand resources and storage capacity. These resources have to be jointly managed for efficient and resilient o peration. Therefore a resilient communication network is mandatory for the smart control of these different resources. Communication networks in turn also rely on the power networks in spite of some power backup that they may have. This interdependence is especially critical in bad weather conditions where both networks can be severely affected, even more when they strongly depend on each other. This work describes ongoing research related with the interdependence between both networks regarding resilience, cascading failure effects, applicable models and simulation techniques. © VDE VERLAG GMBH - Berlin - Offenbach.

The environmental impact of the steadily increasing demand for mobility of people and goods, especially in urban environments, raises public concern and presents challenges that need to be addressed in the interest of long-term sustainability. Along this line, the inherently eco-friendly human mobility which involves the use of urban public transit networks must be encouraged and eased. This necessitates the development of context-aware services that hide the complexity of public transit networks while considering all available transportation modalities (e.g. bus, metro, tram, walking and cycling) in order to provide sophisticated route planning tailored to both residents and visitors of urban areas. The EU-funded eCOMPASS research project has addressed this challenge through establishing a methodological framework for route planning optimization. A core objective of the project has been to employ novel algorithm engineering approaches for delivering a comprehensive set of tools and services (accessible from web/mobile application interfaces) for mobile end users to enable eco-awareness in urban multi-modal transfers. eCOMPASS delivered web and mobile services providing multi-modal public transportation route planning, considering contextual information as well as various restrictions and/or user constraints. Herein, we report the motivation, main scientific innovations and present the end-products of eCOMPASS with respect to multimodal human mobility.

Computational technology is an important thing that needed in the whole of human life. Along with the development of computer technology, there are a significant data created and wait to be processed; we will get more advantages if it well-processed, if not we will see the data explosion, the data is just a useless stack. Research mitigates the other research paper and makes a conclusion and a report by PRISMA method. The development of computer technology will support the development of an organization. Considering any factors in choosing the right and suitable high-performance computer resource due to our organization is a must. The existing high-performance computing forms are Supercomputer, Grid Computing, Cluster Computing, and Cloud Computing. Based on this work, the last form of high-performance computing, Cloud Computing is one of the most used forms thus we mitigate its advantages and disadvantages. Recently, to process this vast data, we must have a high-performance computer and to provide it, this is not a cheap resource.

Mobility of people and goods in urban environments raises several quality and sustainability concerns. While ICTs have established the ground for developing intelligent transport services, their effective use for supporting cleaner urban mobility still represents a major research challenge. The eCOMPASS research project addressed this challenge through introducing new mobility concepts and establishing a methodological framework for route planning optimization, delivering a comprehensive set of innovative tools and services for end-users to enable eco-awareness in urban transport. eCOMPASS innovative tools are based on new algorithmic technology concerning tools and methods for vehicle routing (cars and vehicle fleets) and multimodal human mobility for city dwellers and tourists. eCOMPASS involved a generic architecture that considered all types and scenarios of human and goods mobility in urban environments minimizing their environmental impact. In this work, we report on the main scientific innovations and end-products of eCOMPASS for vehicle routing, including car route planning and vehicle fleets.

East Java Province is one of potential disasters area in Indonesia such as earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, floods, droughts, hurricanes, fires, terror and volcanic eruptions that was recorded in the study of disaster risks. East Java with an area of 47,799.75 km2 and high population about 39,107,095 inhabitants, the government must make decisions quickly in disaster emergency system and good mitigation planning to reduce disaster victims. One of the frequent disasters in East Java is an earthquake, that can not be avoided and cause many casualties. In this paper, we build a system to calculate the risk of earthquakes in the districts of East Java. There are three criterias to determine the risk level of the earthquake, that consist of threats, vulnerabilities and capacities. Index method calculate the disaster risk value based on a threshold nominal value of the certain range, even though some of the criterias involve preference values. The proposed systems is developed using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) based on those criteria that can solve the combination of nominal and preference values of criterias. AHP produce priority value and then it classify the earthquake disaster risk into three level of low, medium and high using natural break classification method. The system generate disaster risk map to visualize the level of earthquake risk. © 2016 IEEE.

Among different components of urban mobility, urban freight transport is usually considered as the least sustainable. Limited traffic infrastructures and increasing demands in dense urban regions lead to frequent delivery runs with smaller freight vehicles. This increases the traffic in urban areas and has negative impacts upon the quality of life in urban populations. Data driven optimizations are essential to better utilize existing urban transport infrastructures and to reduce the negative effects of freight deliveries for the cities. However, there is limited work and data driven research on urban delivery areas and freight transportation networks. In this paper, we collect and analyse data on urban freight deliveries and parking areas towards an optimized urban freight transportation system. Using a new check-in based mobile parking system for freight vehicles, we aim to understand and optimize freight distribution processes. We explore the relationship between areas' availability patterns and underlying traffic behaviour in order to understand the trends in urban freight transport. By applying the detected patterns we predict the availabilities of loading/unloading areas, and thus open up new possibilities for delivery route planning and better managing of freight transport infrastructures.

We construct orthogonal arrays OAλ(k, n) (of strength two) having a row that is repeated m times, where m is as large as possible. In particular, we consider OAs where the ratio m/λ is as large as possible;these OAs are termed optimal. We provide constructions of optimal OAs for any k ≥ n + 1, albeit with large λ. We also study basic OAs;these are optimal OAs in which gcd(m, λ) = 1. We construct a basic OA with n = 2 and k = 4t + 1, provided that a Hadamard matrix of order 8t + 4 exists. Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is one of the plantation commodities provide the greatest contribution to Indonesia's foreign exchange. Because this plantation is one of the vegetable oil-producing plants with a high economic value. Therefore, the accuracy of the forecasting approaches in predicting the CPO prices is becoming the matter into concerns. This study aims to design a method of forecasting the price level for CPO. Neural Network Backpropagation (NN-BP) has been seen as a successful model in many systems recently. In this paper, we will apply Neural Network Backpropagation with a powerful stochastic optimization technique called Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to optimize the weight on NN-BP of Crude Palm Oil commodity price. The proposed method is a prediction model using an algorithm which combining particle swarm optimization (PSO) with Neural Network back-propagation (NN-BP) namely PSO-BP. The experimental results show that the proposed PSO–BP algorithm is better than standard Artificial Neural Network Backpropagation for accurate prediction and error convergence by providing better RMSE values.

A dual band slot dipole antenna integrated with an AMC plane is proposed to reduce SAR when operated on body for WBAN applications. The AMC plane is formed using a 3 x 3 array of unit cells, each consisting of a square patch integrated with diamond-shaped slot. Results indicate that the antenna provides wide upper bandwidth up to 600 MHz (in flat condition) and up to 570 MHz when bent. Besides that, its front-to-back ratio (FBR) is also improved.

We employ recent control design algorithms for delay systems to address the mixed sensitivity design of a dynamic controller for multiple degree of freedom systems interconnected with an inverse signal shaper. A delay based inverse shaper is included within a feedback loop in order to eliminate oscillatory modes due to an attached flexible substructure, which has been shown to be advantageous to inducing directly the filtering property by an appropriate controller design. Due to the presence of the inverse shaper, the closed loop dynamics become infinite dimensional. Furthermore we design fixed-order controllers, aiming at an easy implementation. As a consequence of these two features standard techniques from H-infinity control can no longer be used. We present a two-stage method, which firstly makes the closed-loop system asymptotically stable and, secondly, computes a low-order controller that minimizes the H-infinity norm of the weighted closed-loop transfer functions. The approach is grounded in recent methods for fixed-order H-infinity control of delay systems, and the delay-differential algebraic equations (DDAE) modelling and control framework. © 2017
