This paper presents a new approach to multi-agent coverage path planning problem. This algorithm enables multiple robots with limited sensor capabilities to perform coverage efficiently over a shared territory. Each robot is assigned with an exclusive route, which enables it to carry out its cleaning process simultaneously with minimal path overlapping. The objectives of this work are (i) Identify a path for each robot such that each robot is responsible for covering a different region. In this way, there will be minimal overlap between coverage of the robots, (ii) the methods and procedures must be applicable to a group of simple mobile robots with very few sensors to guarantee their industrial interest.

This paper focuses on how to help students engage better with control courses and to learn through doing. In parallel it discusses strategies for encouraging more independent learning into the curriculum. Two main assumptions are made: (i) first that module design needs to embed regular student activity and (ii) student activity mostly involve more than engagement with what is covered in formal lectures. In this paper, Agent-based architecture has been introduced into GIS for interactability and scalability. We have developed an interface agent to interactively assist the user with the query formation process. The interface agent has a capability of offering domain knowledge that is associated with a given query. Also the agent records users troubleshooting experience and show them to the same user and other user as hints. Further, we also have developed the Agent-based architecture with a 2-tier mediator model in GIS to meet the needs for interoperability among diverse application domains and integration of heterogeneous information source. Also broker agent provides a matchmaking service to other agent. As a result, qualitative and quantitative data can be integrated into GIS. Also we describe a prototype system -GXGIS- using agent-based technology.

In this paper we present a method for the estimation of the correlation dimension of the attractor and the Higuchi dimension of the spatial series that is extracted from a measurement (image) of a skin lesion. We are interested in melanoma (deadliest skin cancer) early detection. The grey scale image and each image color channel are separately investigated. The correlation dimension calculated for the red image channel and the grey scale image and, also, the Higuchi dimension for the grey scale image represent relevant melanoma descriptors.
