The industrial sector has entered a phase of profound change which sees digital technologies being integrated into the heart of industrial processes. This fourth industrial era gives birth to a new generation of factory called 'Digital Factory', 'Industry 4.0'. This industrial change is the result of the integration of new digital technologies into manufacturing processes and the optimization of energy consumption. The commitment to the environment is also a key and success factor of Industry 4.0 and green in particular the reduction of carbon emissions and pollution. This is how smart green industry try to take in charge the problem of energy consumption and to reduce the Co2 pollution. The goal of this paper is to present the new model of smart green industry using distributed artificial intelligence based on multi-agent system (MAS). The motivation to use the intelligent approach based on MAS is based on the similarity between the fundamental concepts of the cyber-physical system and those contained in the architecture and operation of MAS such as communication, coordination, decision and cooperation. © 2023 IEEE.

This proposal outlines the development of a comprehensive educational platform aimed at bridging the Information Technology knowledge gap among Tamil-speaking students in Sri Lanka. The platform is designed to enhance programming skills through personalized quizzes, hands-on projects, and adaptive learning models. The application focuses on two primary components: the first component emphasizes project-based learning and assessments, leveraging advanced Artificial Intelligence models for generating educational content. This model is combined with Retrieval-Augmented Generation, which retrieves relevant external information to refine and tailor the educational content to each student's needs. This component keeps students engaged and challenged at appropriate levels, promoting deeper understanding and practical Information Technology skills. The second component involves a Level-based IT Fundamental Knowledge Evaluation system, which incorporates machine learning algorithms to predict student performance, recommend customized learning paths, and assess overall technical knowledge. The platform also integrates the OpenAI Application Programming Interface, which provides real-time Tamil translation, making the content more accessible to the target demographic. The platform empowers educators to better address individual student needs with real-time feedback and tailored experiences. Its innovative approach enhances Information Technology education, equipping Sri Lankan students with essential programming skills to succeed globally. © 2024 IEEE.

With recent fast development of artificial intelligence and related techniques, computer-aided diagnosis is increasingly emerging. During the process of automated diagnosis, the importance of explainable decision making has grown significantly. Traditional black-box models have often hindered the practical implementation of automated diagnosis algorithms. To address these challenges, we propose a novel framework that seamlessly integrates prototype learning with Graph Neural Networks (GNN) while also providing post-hoc explanations. On one hand, our model achieves intrinsic interpretability by reasoning based on the similarity calculations with prototypes for each disease. On the other hand, it employs counterfactual reasoning on graphs to pinpoint the most significant features for post-hoc explanations, supporting the diagnosis process. Building on these strengths, we integrate vision-language models to effectively harness multimodal patient information, thereby capturing a more detailed understanding of their medical condition. Our experiments on real Chinese EMRs of Pulmonary diseases demonstrate that our method not only delivers precise diagnoses but also accurately identifies medical findings substantiating the diagnoses. © 2023 IEEE.

Tea cultivation stands out as one of the most significant export products that contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the previous decades, the substantial work-force gradually transitioned to different occupations. Compared to other crops, tea cultivation demands costly and meticulous upkeep. With a shortage of labor, maintaining tea estates grew tougher, leading to decreased yields. In reaction, estate owners transitioned to cultivating low-maintenance crops. The TeaBot is an advanced robot designed to replace human labor for watering and fertilizing vast tea estates. The TeaBot distinguishes itself by operating in rough outdoor terrain and infrastructure-free navigation in real tea plantations. Given that tea plants demand continuous hydration and nutrients for optimal crop yield, TeaBot plays a pivotal role in enhancing efficiency while reducing water and fertilizer wastage. Mainly four motor-powered wheels move accurately by translating linear and angular velocities using a precise motor control algorithm. An autonomous navigation algorithm was developed using two distinct approaches, which include deep learning-based computer vision and classical computer vision. The selection of the classical computer vision method was predicated upon its notable attributes, including high precision, minimal resource utilization, and optimal efficiency. A deep learning-based stem identification model was trained based on MobileNetV2 architecture to detect where the plant stem meets the ground for efficient hydration of individual plants. This lightweight model achieved 90% detection accuracy. The precise results of stem detection have made the liquid fertilization process more efficient. © 2023 IEEE.

Big data analytics that are live or streaming have significantly improved analytics. Instantaneous analytics of the real-Time data are provided by streaming big data analytics, assisting the decision-makers. Big data analytics in real-Time has taken center stage in business. We thoroughly examine the phenomenon of streaming Big data analytics in this review study. We also look at the various streaming analytics frameworks in use. This study delves into the prediction of stock prices in the Bangladesh stock market using advanced deep learning frameworks, with a particular focus on the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) model. Traditional statistical models often struggle to effectively capture the complex, non-linear characteristics of financial data, leading to inconsistent results. The Bi-LSTM model, however, addresses this challenge by processing data in both forward and backward sequences, making it particularly suitable for analyzing the intricate dynamics of the Bangladesh stock market. A rigorous feature engineering process is undertaken, incorporating 64 distinct features that include market trends, stock-specific indicators, technical and fundamental variables, as well as crucial macroeconomic factors like gold prices and foreign exchange reserves. The dataset spans historical stock market data from 2012 to 2022, with comprehensive preprocessing steps taken to ensure data quality and consistency. Hyperparameter tuning is executed through a grid search to optimize model performance. The evaluation of the Bi-LSTM model is carried out using metrics such as Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and the R2 score, which demonstrate its enhanced predictive power compared to traditional models. This research contributes to the growing field of deep learning in financial forecasting, offering new perspectives for stock price prediction in emerging markets, while also addressing ethical issues to minimize risks like market manipulation. © 2024 IEEE.

The paper proposes a model for the examination of tweets (brief texts and messages) in Russian. The model is based on the authors' explorations on the identification of tweets meanings. The main idea is to apply the latest developed quantum machine learning method to the hierarchical classification models of texts. This approach avoids the text corpus necessity and supports the online learning due to the very design. The model proposed is tested in the experiment. The target content was given in the experiment and the model is used to measure the correspondence between the target topics and the test messages. The result of the experiment shows that the proposed method allows to distinguish the target content in the test text. © 2024 IEEE.

Systemic risk is ubiquitous in our increasingly globalised world owing to the interconnections within and across sectors. However, a review of National Risk Assessments performed in OECD member countries reveals that systemic risk is rarely mentioned, and it is never accounted for in those assessments. A powerful method accounts for systemic risk and identifies mitigating strategies using participatory modelling with stakeholders: strategy mapping with Strategyfinder. The risk model is represented as a directed graph consisting of risk nodes and directed edges (arrows) expressing causal influences. The method originated in the management of large, complex projects, and it has been applied to systemic risks in critical infrastructures and pandemics. We demonstrate the Strategyfinder method using a scenario describing a cyberattack on electronic communication infrastructure leading to serious consequences for health and lives. The scenario is borrowed from the report Analysis of Risk Scenarios by the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection. © 2024 Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management, ISCRAM. Sorting and searching are critical processes for effecttive data analysis. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of various sorting and searching algorithms and compare their time and space complexities on both sorted and unsorted data. The algorithms we analyzed include six common sorting algorithms (insertion, radix, bucket, merge, bubble, and quick sort) and three search algorithms (linear, binary, and jump search). The results of our study provide insights into the best algorithms to use for different input sizes and types of data. It was found that for small input sizes, all algorithms perform similarly, but for larger input sizes, insertion and radix sorts are better for time complexity while bubble sort is better for space complexity. Additionally, jump search outperformed linear and binary search algorithms in both time and space complexity. Besides, difference between time and space complexity of sorted and unsorted data was significant. © 2023 IEEE.

Pattern mining is a core objective within data mining, involving the detection of frequent itemsets (collections of values) within databases. This process serves to extract valuable insights from the data, facilitating informed decision-making. In recent times, a range of algorithms has emerged to adapt this task to the realm of uncertain *** has a wide range of applications, such as analyzing medical data to identify correlated symptoms based on their existential probabilities. However, pattern mining algorithms also pose the risk of revealing sensitive information. As far as we know, there is no existing solution that addresses the inadvertent disclosure of sensitive itemsets when pattern mining algorithms are employed on uncertain databases. This paper addresses this problem by proposing three heuristic approaches, which ensure that sensitive expected frequent itemsets are not discovered while minimizing undesirable side effects for other itemsets. The first heuristic approach (called aggregate) deletes some transactions from an uncertain database. The second approach (named disaggregate) removes some selected items from each transaction. And the third approach (called the hybrid approach) combines the two previous approaches, and deletes some selected items from some selected transactions. An experimental evaluation is presented to assess and compare the effectiveness of the three approaches. © 2023 IEEE.
