Ontologies are an essential component of semantic integration approaches for information systems . In a decentralized environment, each specification of the domain reflects an Ontological view. However, the semantics characterization of information systems in such decentralized environment poses a significant issue related to their integration. Information systems are viewed as independent intensional entities with their own beliefs, distinct from those held by others. Such autonomy is distorted by traditional extensional semantics. Other entities’ beliefs are introduced into a given entity, thus affecting their beliefs. Additionally, the information that one entity provides to another entity may not be consistent with the information known by the latter. We need an alternative semantics for information integration, which is not dependent on the extension, but rather on the underlying conceptualization. This paper proposes a classification of the environment where the information systems lives and a novel modelling paradigm for information integration using intensional logic to model the ontological views. Recent advances in DeepFake face-swapping technology have made it simple to create fake videos that appear remarkably real. Since it has been employed in numerous instances for deceit, extortion, and the falsification of facts, its widespread use has generated a huge social, security, and political risk. Its use on websites and social media has become more widespread. Detecting this crime is becoming more and more important due to the potential harm false videos may inflict on a global scale. This research offers a method for building a deep learning model that really can tell the difference between authentic and false videos. The article describes how to create new models based on the VGG16 neural network, a previously created neural network that does image categorization, using transfer learning in the computer vision field. Deep learning is still becoming better at both producing and spotting DeepFakes. DeepFake detection algorithms are developed using dated public datasets, and as a result, they may become obsolete with time. and require continual updating. The research findings are encouraging, and our results reached an accuracy rate of over 90%. © 2023 IEEE.

Information Technology and Operational Technology convergence refers to the integration and merge of IT and OT systems within an organization. Several protocols are commonly used in IT/OT convergence to facilitate communication and data exchange between IT and OT systems. It is imperative to understand how both systems are linking and exchanging data to be able to examine potential security breaches. In this study, we will discuss some of the common protocols used to achieve this convergence. We will include the known strengths and weaknesses of each. This will be considered an initial foundation to study potential security breaches and countermeasures for IT/OT convergence.

The size and market worth of the Internet of Things (IoT) have expanded, but unfortunately, the likelihood of user data being compromised has also risen. This presents a notable danger that has the potential to create disorder. Consequently, the main aim of this paper is to recognize any weaknesses within existing security solutions and suggest an innovative approach to address them. In order to accomplish this, the paper puts forth four research inquiries concerning IoT security that leverage Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques. Additionally, it conducts an extensive review of the latest publications and concludes that a combination of specific techniques can provide a potential solution to the security problems in IoT. Overall, the findings of this study suggest that this systematic literature review could help in significantly enhancing the security of IoT devices and applications, safeguarding user data from unauthorized access and potential misuse.

It is crucial to gain a comprehensive understanding of the networking and data flow between these systems in order to effectively identify and address potential security risks. This study aims to explore several common protocols utilized in IT/OT convergence and examine their strengths and weaknesses. This initial exploration will serve as a foundation for further investigation into potential security breaches and the development of appropriate countermeasures in the context of IT/OT convergence.

PlanarTrack: A Large-scale Challenging Benchmark for Planar Object Tracking

Planar object tracking is a critical computer vision problem and has drawn increasing interest owing to its key roles in robotics, augmented reality, etc. Despite rapid progress, its further development, especially in the deep learning era, is largely hindered due to the lack of large-scale challenging benchmarks. Addressing this, we introduce PlanarTrack, a large-scale challenging planar tracking benchmark. Specifically, PlanarTrack consists of 1,000 videos with more than 490K images. All these videos are collected in complex unconstrained scenarios from the wild, which makes PlanarTrack, compared with existing benchmarks, more challenging but realistic for real-world applications. To ensure the high-quality annotation, each frame in PlanarTrack is manually labeled using four corners with multiple-round careful inspection and refinement. To our best knowledge, PlanarTrack, to date, is the largest and most challenging dataset dedicated to planar object tracking. In order to analyze the proposed PlanarTrack, we evaluate 10 planar trackers and conduct comprehensive comparisons and in-depth analysis. Our results, not surprisingly, demonstrate that current top-performing planar trackers degenerate significantly on the challenging PlanarTrack and more efforts are needed to improve planar tracking in the future. In addition, we further derive a variant named PlanarTrackBB for generic object tracking from PlanarTrack. Our evaluation of 10 excellent generic trackers on PlanarTrackBB manifests that, surprisingly, PlanarTrackBB is even more challenging than several popular generic tracking benchmarks and more attention should be paid to handle such planar objects, though they are rigid. Water scarcity critically threatens agricultural sus-tainability in Jordan, necessitating innovative technological solutions. This study presents a comprehensive framework that integrates Internet of Things (IoT) sensors with Big Data Analytics to optimize water usage in agriculture. Employing a multi-stage approach, we conducted real-time data acquisition from diverse farms, processed the data using clustering algorithms, and implemented intelligent decision-making systems. Our analysis focused on key parameters such as soil moisture, temperature, rainfall, and wind speed across various farming locations. The methodology encompassed extensive field data collection, advanced analytics, and the deployment of smart irrigation systems. Results demonstrated a significant 25 % reduction in water consumption while maintaining optimal crop yields. Additionally, clustering identified three distinct farm categories, each requiring tailored water management strategies. This research contributes to the field of smart agriculture by providing practical, scalable solutions for regions facing severe water scarcity. The findings highlight the potential of advanced technologies to enhance agricultural sustainability and address critical water management challenges.

De-compilation is the process of executable files as input where the de-compilation process tries to get away the source code, or the majority of it, if the file's source code is lost or damaged for whatever cause. De-compilation has many uses such as code recovery, security testing, and errors corrections, however, de-compilation is cautious since it depends on certain approaches and techniques. Nowadays de-compilation done by many automated and semi-automated tools, but the accuracy and the efficiency of it depend on the proposed approaches and techniques to stand in front of reengineering challenges. This paper aims to highlight up-to-date prior contributions in the field where 8 published research papers from May 2020 until May 2023 were collected to investigate the state-of-art. As a result, some of the researchers tend to develop their own tools and others tend to use popular automated with different approaches and techniques where the majority of the researchers focused on C, C++, and JAVA programming languages where 50% were de-compilation on C language.

This article presents a comprehensive study on designing and implementing a dashboard for enhanced data visualization and query support at the University of Petra. The system leverages retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and large language models (LLMs) to support diverse document types, including curricula, course descriptions, and program outcomes, alongside intended learning outcome (ILO)-related files. Our implementation demonstrates significant improvements in data accessibility and query response times while maintaining high accuracy in information retrieval and visualization. Through extensive evaluation, we show that this innovative approach transforms data management processes in higher education by enabling natural language interactions with educational data systems, building upon established business intelligence frameworks while introducing advanced AI capabilities.

Currently, robots are used for different types of work, such as the manufacturing industry, healthcare, and the hotel industry. According to the current epidemic situation, the usage of robots was increased because of the need to reduce human interaction. As a result, they have to walk around the workplace, because of that, they may have to climb staircases. The world has many types of robots. Here the selected robot is a humanoid. This proposal is concerned with how to detect the staircase, count steps, get dimensions of it, and move the robot on it by keeping body balance. First, want to know what the objects are, then walk. The identified images from the image sensors will get as input. The technology stack that is used for image analysis is a method related to computer vision in deep learning. Other than that, while climbing the stairs robot needs to identify whether the staircase is over or not. Here we introduce a new concept: get the number of steps required to climb before climbing the stairs. It is related to how humans identify things by seeing and making decisions. The need to take the dimensions of the stairs is that when considering the stairs, they have their height, width, and range. Therefore, it is imperative to calculate the dimensions of each staircase separately. Creating a balance system similar to human balance is a great advantage in robotics. To implement such a system, there is an upright pose controller to allow the robot to walk stably by preventing tilting of the robot during walking on uneven floor. In general, for us to do that we need to calculate the global inclination of the floor is a key factor. It can be measured with a 2-axis accelerator meter, and it is installed in the inertial sensor. © 2022 IEEE.
