Fixed asset tax, which is determined based on land use, is an important and valuable revenue source for local governments in Japan. Local government staff spend a lot of time and effort in conducting field surveys to confirm land use. Therefore, we have been developing a support system for automatic land use determination in local governments using aerial images and land data. This paper improves on our previous study in three ways. Firstly, we use a transformer-based deep learning model to improve the performance of the proposed system. Secondly, we added more classification tasks and introduced the classification of solar panels to apply to the work in local governments. Thirdly. we verified the effect of time lag in data collection by comparing the differences in the data used. This study aims to improve the efficiency and accuracy of land evaluation work, as well as to reduce the burden on staff by developing the land evaluation support system. The results confirm that the system is effective in supporting land evaluation work in local governments. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rapid development of technology, the use of social media by the public, especially among young people, is increasing. One of the social media platforms currently used by young people is the TikTok application. It is a video-based TikTok feature accompanied by music, writing, and pictures that are considered attractive, so teenagers like it to show their existence and self-disclosure. Therefore, this study aims to examine the intention of users to disclose their privacy. As the basis of the theory, this study deployed the privacy calculus theory, where the perceived benefits and perceived risks play crucial roles in the intention to disclose their privacy. The study successfully collected 369 responses. The empirical findings indicated that only the relationship between Perceived Personalization (PP) and Perceived Risk (PR) was not supported. However, all the remaining hypotheses were supported. These findings emphasize how several complicated variables influence social media users' intentions to disclose their privacy. When people feel in control of their privacy settings and see significant benefits, they are more likely to divulge personal information;nevertheless, perceived risks can greatly discourage users. © 2024 IEEE.

Regular monitoring of the maintenance manhole system is imperative to uphold the city's health and cleanliness standards. Our study offers an intelligent manhole that monitors the manhole's condition, water level, and gases. We tested the status, gas, and water levels of our revolutionary, innovative manhole in several places. Our system's Blink app position tracking of our smart manhole is critical. This capability improves monitoring efficiency and speeds up issue resolution. Our work revolutionizes municipal utility maintenance and safety by optimizing manhole performance. Integrating a Node MCU, GPS module, gas sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and Android Blynk software creates a complete real-time monitoring and data-collecting system. Combining these technologies, our Manhole Monitoring system improves safety and streamlines maintenance, making municipal infrastructure more robust and efficient. This paper highlights the promising features of IoT and shows how it may be used to improve the smart manhole. In the future, this creative method may result in a more durable and better intelligent city. © 2024 IEEE.

Polarimetric decomposition parameters are crucial for characterizing ground objects by their unique scattering mechanisms, particularly in crop monitoring and specifically for mapping paddy rice fields. This study evaluates their impact on mapping accuracy by deriving entropy (H), anisotropy (A), and mean alpha angle (a) from a multi-temporal Sentinel-1 dataset. These parameters served as input features for training a random forest classifier to delineate rice-growing areas. Additionally, another random forest classifier was trained using backscatter intensity from the VH (Vertical Transmit, Horizontal Receive) polarization channel to provide a comparative map, enhancing the evaluation of the study outcomes. Adjustments to the temporal resolution of the input dataset were necessary due to the computational constraints of Google Earth Engine (GEE), the cloud-based platform used in this study. Despite the reduced temporal resolution, the classifier trained with polarimetric decomposition parameters performed comparably to the classifier using the full temporal resolution of backscatter intensity. The classifier utilizing backscatter intensity reported slightly higher overall accuracy and kappa coefficient, with values of 0.8460 and 0.6920, respectively. The classifier using polarimetric decomposition parameters achieved an overall accuracy of 0.8250 and a kappa coefficient of 0.6499. The performance of the two classifiers varied with respect to the calculated producer's and user's accuracies, though the differences were not significant. These results suggest that entropy (H), anisotropy (A), and mean alpha angle (a) effectively capture the distinct scattering properties of rice throughout its growth stages, as well as those of other crops and land cover types, enabling reliable rice classification. Future research could explore additional parameters and their combinations to further enhance mapping accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

To directly investigate the dynamic nanoscale phenomenon on the surface being processed in wet conditions such as precision polishing, and cleaning in semiconductor industrial, an optical method for visualization and observation of each sub-100 nm sized particle that is moving on an interface such as a silica glass surface by applying an evanescent field have been proposing. Subsequently, we developed an experimental apparatus equipped with an optical microscopy system for verifying the moving particle observation method in a laboratory scale. This article introduces some experimentally direct observation results of duplicated wet processes. © 2024 IEEE.

Mapping paddy rice fields is crucial for monitoring rice production, which is vital for food security and economic stability. Prior studies have utilized remote sensing data along with various machine learning algorithms to accomplish this task. However, the performance of these classifiers under different conditions remains an area worth investigating. In this study, rice-growing areas are delineated from other crops and land cover types using multi-temporal synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imageries recorded by Sentinel-1 and classification algorithms - Naïve Bayes, CART, and Random Forest - on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform. Results show that the random forest classifier outperforms the others with an overall accuracy of 85.90% and a kappa coefficient of 0.7180. This superior performance can be attributed to its capability to handle complex, high-dimensional data, which aligns well with the properties of the multi-temporal SAR data used to observe the growth cycle of paddy rice. The differing performances of the three classifiers underscored the importance of selecting an appropriate algorithm, especially when leveraging the distinctive radar signatures of paddy rice over time, to enhance the accuracy of mapping paddy rice fields. © 2024 IEEE.

Precision medicine is the need of the hour strategy that deals with precision from diagnosis to treatment. There is a growing need for continuous monitoring of blood glucose levels and an effective algorithm to determine the right insulin dosages to achieve precision medicine for diabetes. This work intends to review the impact and importance of biomedical interventions in precision medicine for diabetes. It addresses the barriers that persist in practicing precision medicine for diabetes by strengthening the techniques of precision diagnosis and prognosis, precision therapeutics, precision treatments, and precision monitoring using predictive algorithms. The review emphasizes the significance of biomedical interventions in advancing the future directions of precision medicine for diabetes, including the integration of clinical trials with large datasets and continuous evaluation and monitoring of patients through regular measurements of blood glucose levels. By focusing on these biomedical interventions, this review aims to provide insights into the role of precision medicine in diabetes and its potential for improving patient outcomes. © 2023 IEEE.

For an AI tic-tac-toe manipulator application, a real-time vision-based approach is proposed. The technique employs the RealSense camera to capture color and dept. images. Combining object detection and image processing techniques to identify X's and O's positions on the game board. However, we recognize that errors can occur during object movement when using only 2D images. To solve this problem, a calibration method between RealSense and the manipulator based on the point-to-plane ICP algorithm is presented. This method provides the 3D object position in the robot coordinate, resulting in increasing the accuracy from 86.25% to 97.25%. Our experiment shows that this technique is highly effective and can accurately identify position objects. © 2024 IEEE.

The process of storing and retrieving information is crucial, and storing it in a coded manner makes it safe and ensures that the mechanism of storage and retrieval technique is practical and straightforward. This research proposes a DNA computing-based practical technique for encryption, auto-storing, and auto-retrieval. It uses an HDC-HP (Hybrid DNA Computing and Hypernetwork) approach. The properties of the graph may be used to identify the various locations in the memory where information is stored, and a decent means of even encrypting and storing information is discovered. Compared to other storage media, DNA is far more powerful and supports highly parallel processing. Consider a few fascinating issues that have applications in both theoretical and practical disciplines to aid physicists, scientists, mathematicians, chemists, biologists, etc. This work uses the benefits of DNA computing and graph theory to store and retrieve data more securely and effectively. With a retrieval accuracy of 98.7%, the HDC- HP method produced an exceptional result. © 2023 IEEE.

The prediction of solar storms from real-time satellites data is an essential to protect various aviation, power, and communication infrastructures. For this reason, current research interest is focusing on creating systems that can predict solar fare accurately. This paper combers Gramian Angular Fields (GAF) images and Markov Transition Field (MTF) images that have been generated by converting pre-flare Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) data from 2010 to 2016. After that, the deep learning neural network for the solar flare production platform accepts both MTF and GAF images as input to generate the predictions. Furthermore, this paper;investigated using MTF and GAF images spritely as input to the solar flare production platform. After that, the results of MTF and GAF images were compared using various prediction verification measures. © 2022 IEEE.
