This paper presents a novel methodology for closed-loop system identification of unstable nonlinear systems using the Koopman operator with Extended Dynamic Mode Decomposition with control (EDMDc). The study highlights the critical role of selecting appropriate observable functions to develop accurate and efficient Koopman models. We demonstrate that the resulting Koopman models exhibit excellent fitting and validation properties and retain the stabilizability of the original nonlinear systems. These models are verified through time and frequency responses under closed-loop control using a Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR), confirming their effectiveness. Future work will extend this framework to more complex systems and incorporate machine learning techniques to refine the selection of observable functions. This approach aims further to enhance the adaptability and robustness of Koopman-based control strategies. © 2025 IEEE.

Making moral judgments is an essential step toward developing ethical AI systems. Prevalent approaches are mostly implemented in a bottom-up manner, which uses a large set of annotated data to train models based on crowd-sourced opinions about morality. These approaches have been criticized for overgeneralizing the moral stances of a limited group of annotators and lacking explainability. This work proposes a flexible top-down framework to steer (Large) Language Models (LMs) to perform moral reasoning with well-established moral theories from interdisciplinary research. The theory-guided top-down framework can incorporate various moral theories. Our experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework on datasets derived from moral theories. Furthermore, we show the alignment between different moral theories and existing morality datasets. Our analysis exhibits the potential and flaws in existing resources (models and datasets) in developing explainable moral judgment-making systems. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

computer science (CS) is a rapidly evolving field of knowledge with a significant volume and significance of scientific papers. Consequently, meticulous management and categorization of CS papers are crucial to ensure efficient access and retrieval of relevant information. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of eight traditional machine learning models, as well as Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) models, such as LSTM and BiLSTM, and state-of-the-art pre-trained self-attention-based natural language processing (NLP) models, including BERT, XLNet, RoBERTa, and DistilBERT, for the task of multi-label classification of arXiv CS paper classification. The results demonstrate that pre-trained self-attention-based models consistently outperform the other models regarding classification performance. Moreover, self-attention-based models exhibited superior performance and achieved a new state-of-the-art result. To the best of our knowledge, our paper represents the first endeavor to evaluate machine learning models, specifically on computer science-related documents, as part of a multi-label classification task. © 2023 IEEE.

The pervasive use of online social media platforms has changed the communication habits and subsequently the content and the frequency of the human exchanges. People share their thoughts on social media more frequently and freely. In particular and due to the societal stigma, people find less obstacle to discuss mental health problems on social media compared to face-o-face discussion. Mining social media for the sake of analysing suicidal intention is an attractive and at the same time challenging task especially during COVID-19 era. The main objective is to leverage machine learning to classify the social media user suicidal behavior while considering the impact of COVID-19 circumstances. We propose a rigorous feature engineering technique based on TF/IDF and Bag of Words. Machine learning classifiers and ensemble models are compared to find that the Neural Network(NN) classifier outperforms the benchmarks with a precision of 94%, a Recall of 94%, an F1 Score of 94%, and an overall accuracy of 94%. In the future, more feature selection techniques and deep learning can be used. © 2024 IEEE.

Sentiment Analysis of human behavior from social media revolutionized many fields, such as health, business, and election prediction. Sentiment analysis is the process of analyzing an individual's opinions, attitudes, views, sentiments, and emotions. In order to predict sentiments, predicting the polarity of words and categorizing them as positive or negative are the major goals. A quick and effective way to determine what the public thinks about one's own political party, the opposition party, and political figures is through Twitter. prior sentiment analysis techniques have primarily struggled with classification accuracy because biases in the training data cause a sizable portion of tweets to be incorrectly classified. As a remedy, we set out to collect real-Time data in order to forecast Pakistan's next election results. Users can quickly share real-Time updates on a variety of activities and events on Twitter, promoting the rapid diffusion of information and news. To do this, we accessed the Twitter API through the 'Tweepy'' Python package and retrieved real-Time data from the service. Through keyword searches, we were able to find more than 5,000 tweets. We attributed feelings to particular tweets using Python's 'TextBlob'' package. We are able to generate prediction graphics by determining the frequency of positive attitudes with respect to a particular candidate. © 2023 IEEE.

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Understanding the presence of heart disease is crucial for timely intervention and effective management. However, it is still a challenging task to accurately diagnose and treat heart disease. In this paper, we propose an ensemble machine learning model that combines the predictive power of three state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms: BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers), FT-transformer, and XG-Boost. Through extensive training and evaluation, we assess the performance of our model using established metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and receiver operating char-acteristic (ROC) curve analysis. The results obtained demonstrate the effectiveness and validity of our machine learning system in predicting heart disease accurately. This paper presents a promising approach that can assist healthcare professionals in making informed decisions and improving patient outcomes, enhances our understanding of heart disease patterns, and contributes to the development of effective diagnostic and treatment approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

Safety and reliability are crucial for modern systems and technologies. This paper presents an approach for real-time anomaly detection in rotating machines using vibration analysis and machine learning algorithms for predictive maintenance. Rotating machines such as motors, engines, gearboxes and turbines are widely used systems and faults in these systems can result in complete shutdowns. Preventing unexpected downtime while ensuring equipment reliability and safety is essential. In this context, anomaly detection plays a vital role in monitoring the healthy operation of rotating machines. A test-bed was designed to generate datasets for both balanced (healthy) and unbalanced (faulty) motor conditions. The experimental setup consists of a three-phase induction motor, a signal acquisition system (Raspberry Pi), a vibration sensor (MPU6050) and a coupling system capable of adjusting motor balance. Supervised machine learning algorithms, Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest (RF) were applied to classify and detect anomalies in the collected datasets. A grid search algorithm was employed for hyperparameter tuning of the SVM and RF models. The proposed technique achieved a maximum accuracy of approximately 98% using SVM and 100% using the RF algorithm leveraging nine optimally selected temporal features. ©2024 IEEE.

The recent and emerging introduction of generative AI in all areas of society poses new challenges to be overcome, particularly in the educational setting. The intimate and affective relationship that may develop between students and generative AI devices raises critical questions about the psychological and emotional impact of such interactions. This issue becomes particularly significant when the interactions with AI-based systems begin at an early age, and these systems assume roles as digital tutors, digital secretaries, motivator agents, and/or mentors. The aim of this work in progress was to address a recent challenge within the digital educational context: the psychological and emotional impact that the introduction of AI-based systems in digital education may have on students. However, we have faced limitations in terms of data availability and resources, particularly when addressing the issue from early ages, where there is a notable lack of studies. Although the results may not have been significant, the research has provided a general overview and a solid theoretical foundation for future studies in this field. Therefore, we suggest conducting more rigorous studies with representative samples and complete data, alongside developing reliable and validated methodologies and assessment tools to address the issues involved. © 2023 IEEE.

De-compilation is the process of executable files as input where the de-compilation process tries to get away the source code, or the majority of it, if the file's source code is lost or damaged for whatever cause. De-compilation has many uses such as code recovery, security testing, and errors corrections, however, de-compilation is cautious since it depends on certain approaches and techniques. Nowadays de-compilation done by many automated and semi-automated tools, but the accuracy and the efficiency of it depend on the proposed approaches and techniques to stand in front of reengineering challenges. This paper aims to highlight up-to-date prior contributions in the field where 8 published research papers from May 2020 until May 2023 were collected to investigate the state-of-art. As a result, some of the researchers tend to develop their own tools and others tend to use popular automated with different approaches and techniques where the majority of the researchers focused on C, C++, and JAVA programming languages where 50% were de-compilation on C language. © 2024 IEEE.

In today's environment, a reliable and effective technique for identifying spam reviews is essential if you want to purchase things online without being taken advantage of. There are possibilities for publishing reviews in many internet locations, which opens the door for sponsored or deceptive fake reviews. These fabricated evaluations may mislead the general audience and leave them unsure of whether or not to believe them. The issue of spam review finding has been solved by the introduction of prominent deep literacy methods. The focus of recent research has been on supervised literacy practices that contain labelled data, which is inadequate for online review. This initiative aims to expose any dishonest textbook reviews. To do this, we've used both labelled and unlabeled data and suggested deep learning techniques for spam review detection, including Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), and a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) variation of Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN). We also used standard machine learning classifiers to identify spam reviews, including Naive Bayes (NB), K Nearest Neighbor (KNN), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). Finally, we compared the effectiveness of traditional and deep literacy classifiers. We'll use deep literacy classifiers to boost the finesse and efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.
