In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on information security, with major companies introducing cybersecurity teams to ensure the safety of data. However, there is a lack of convenient channels for general users to engage in cybersecurity protection, leaving them with no choice but to rely on various antivirus software installations to safeguard their privacy and financial assets. This phenomenon is particularly evident in the digital transformation of healthcare and medical information systems, where the substantial amount of digitized patient data has become a crucial asset within hospital systems. Unfortunately, it has also made healthcare systems potential targets for cyberattacks. The databases of major hospitals have become vulnerable to malicious virus invasions, posing significant threats to patient privacy and the operational integrity of healthcare institutions. Faced with such threats, there is an increasing need for comprehensive cybersecurity protection mechanisms. To address this issue, we have developed the Universal Binary Malware Analysis Framework (UBMAF), an easily accessible binary file analysis framework for the general public. UBMAF integrates multiple open-source static and dynamic analysis tools into an automated module, deployed as Software as a Service (SaaS) in the cloud for healthcare and medical systems. This eliminates the need for users to install applications, and the framework interface is optimized for intuitive usability. During the usage process, users can freely choose module combinations. After uploading files to UBMAF, the framework conducts corresponding tool analyses or file processing based on the selected modules. Ultimately, it provides users with downloadable results and analysis reports. Climate change in simpler words means the change in the long-term average weather parameters. Climate change is an important issue because its causing imbalance in the environment and affects the lives of all flora and fauna. The climate change is due to many factors, but the major factor is the human activities which are leading to global warming over the past decades. Numerous studies consider analysis of continental or global data, providing the overall insights in climatic changes continentally or globally respectively. The approach in this paper considers regional analysis to provide better insights to the local people needs so they get adapted to the changes that are taking place. This provides a warning to the people to take preventive and precautionary measures. The dataset of Karnataka region from 1951 to 2020 is used to study the regional climate change pattern. The main objective of the paper is to analyze the climate change and extending in the future. The results show that there is a gradual increase of average mean surface air temperature and gradual decrease of the precipitation over each decade between the years 1951 to 2020. The trend line extending to 2040 by analyzing the historical data gives insights about the climate change in the near future. Understanding the historical data and the future predictions are very important to the policy makers, people and researchers so that effective planning can be done for adapting and decreasing the climate change patterns. © 2024 IEEE.

The proliferation of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) in various applications has necessitated the exploration of network architectures that can ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable communication. This study presents a comparative performance evaluation of traditional networking paradigms and Software-Defined Networking (SDN)-based architectures within WSN. Utilizing the Floodlight SDN controller and Mininet-WiFi emulator, we conducted a series of experiments across three different network topologies, varying the number of hosts and access points. The performance metrics focused on are average latency, packet loss percentage, and throughput. The results demonstrate a considerable improvement in all measured parameters under the SDN-based environment compared to the traditional setup. Specifically, SDN environments consistently showcased lower latency, minimal packet loss, and higher throughput, with the most notable difference observed in smaller network configurations. The findings suggest that SDN, with its centralized control plane, can significantly enhance the performance of WSNs, particularly in scenarios demanding rapid scalability and dynamic traffic management. This study underscores the potential of SDN architectures in optimizing WSN operations and lays the groundwork for future research in this domain. © 2024, Politechnica University of Bucharest. Worldwide, breast cancer is becoming the most serious illness that affects women. It is believed that early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer can increase survival rates and decrease the need for surgery. Machine Learning model is very reliant on features for their proper training. However, understanding how a prediction is being affected by specific features is very important for a model’s interpretation. Understanding what features support a prediction is important as it provides some transparency to the inner workings of the model. Gaussian Naive Bayes (GNB), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Support Vector Machine (SVM) are used to classify the breast cancer data, and accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, false-positive rate, precision, F1-score, and Geometric-Mean (GM) are used for the performance assessment. Furthermore, Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is used to evaluate overall performance assessment based on the aforementioned performance measures and DT is found to be best among all the classifiers. Finally, an Explainable AI model namely LIME is used to interpret the predicted outcomes and impact of the different features of the data on the model’s prediction. © 2024 IEEE.

In the field of combinatorial optimization, numerous methods have been developed to address complex problems, including assignment, scheduling, and resource allocation. This paper presents a comparative analysis of seven prominent optimization techniques: Hungarian Algorithm, Greedy Algorithm, Auction Algorithm, Linear Programming, Genetic Algorithm, Simulated Annealing, and Constraint Programming. We evaluate these methods on computational efficiency, scalability, and practical applicability, focusing on assignment problems. The analysis reveals that Hungarian Algorithm, Linear Programming, and Constraint Programming consistently deliver high accuracy across all matrix sizes, making them ideal for scenarios where solution precision is paramount. Conversely, the Greedy Algorithm excels in speed on smaller matrices but suffers from significant time and accuracy issues as matrix size increases. Additionally, while both Constraint Programming and Genetic Algorithm achieve high accuracy, their execution times rise considerably with matrix size, especially for Genetic Algorithm, which becomes impractical for large-scale problems. Thus, Hungarian Algorithm, Linear Programming, and Constraint Programming are optimal for accuracy-focused tasks, while Greedy Algorithm is preferable for smaller, speed-critical cases. © 2024 IEEE.

Lung diseases are wide group of diseases related to the respiratory system, and is ranging from acute infections to chronic disorders with multifactorial causes. Recognition of the lung disease is very crucial in the proper diagnosis, forecasting through prognosis, and remedies. Hence proposed lung disease classification with feature extraction technique. The proposed work carried out feature extraction with Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and Local Phase Quantization (LPQ) combined with Convolutional Neural Network(CNN). The goal is to create a model that reduces diagnostic errors, ensuring more precise early detection and classification of pulmonary disorders. This initiative facilitates the advancement of pulmonary medicine by promoting accurate radiologic imaging, while future directions emphasize integrating medical workflows to enable personalized and timely diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, the ResNet model demonstrates superior performance in hernia detection, achieving a test accuracy of 89.43% for GLCM based feature extraction and Pneumonia detection with 79.20% test accuracy for LPQ based feature extraction. © 2024 IEEE.

The increasing complexity and memory demands of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) for real-Time systems pose new significant challenges, one of which is the GPU memory capacity bottleneck, where the limited physical memory inside GPUs impedes the deployment of sophisticated DNN models. This paper presents, to the best of our knowledge, the first study of addressing the GPU memory bottleneck issues, while simultaneously ensuring the timely inference of multiple DNN tasks. We propose RT-Swap, a real-Time memory management framework, that enables transparent and efficient swap scheduling of memory objects, employing the relatively larger CPU memory to extend the available GPU memory capacity, without compromising timing guarantees. We have implemented RT-Swap on top of representative machine-learning frameworks, demonstrating its effectiveness in making significantly more DNN task sets schedulable at least 72% over existing approaches even when the task sets demand up to 96.2% more memory than the GPU's physical capacity. © 2024 IEEE.

Automated Number Plate Recognition is one of the most important applications of computer vision, employed in the enforcement of traffic law, vehicular management, security, and even at toll collection. This paper proposed an advanced system for ANPR that can move away from the traditional booth and establish a checkpoint. The strategically located cameras with checkpointing will automatically capture the plates of passing vehicles, permitting road tax and parking fees to be deducted without making contact. A hybrid approach that combines the capabilities of OpenCV, Tesseract OCR, and deep-learningbased OCR models helps tackle such challenges as stable images from live video feeds and highly accurate text recognition. To this end, since the system integrates high-resolution frame stabilization using OpenCV to ensure crystal clear captures, it further employs the use of YOLOv8 to boost the precision of real-time detection. The blockchain technology is further implemented to ensure that transactions are tamper proof, therefore ensuring secure and transparent billing systems. This makes the ANPR solution deployable on edge devices, which opens real-time processing capabilities for high-speed and high-volume environments, thereby offering a scalable and efficient approach for intelligent transportation and smart city applications. © 2025 IEEE.

The development of the fetal brain is crucial for a child's cognitive and emotional maturation, highlighting the importance of early identification of neurological issues for effective prenatal care. This study introduces an innovative deep learning framework aimed at predicting fetal brain growth rates from 2D ultrasound images. We utilize a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) that combines longitudinal data with various imaging modalities to enhance prediction accuracy. By incorporating transfer learning alongside sophisticated techniques like attention mechanisms, our model adept.y captures both spatial and temporal dynamics within the data. Results from our experiments demonstrate that this approach outperforms conventional methods, achieving an accuracy. The findings of this research hold significant promise for prenatal healthcare by enabling timely interventions for high-risk pregnancies. Ultimately, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of fetal brain development and illustrates the potential of integrating AI technologies into standard prenatal diagnostic practices. © 2024 IEEE.
