Signal-based fault detection, as an essential technology in many engineering and industrial applications, has received extensive attention. Nevertheless, in a real-world application setting, collecting samples for some specific types of faults may be time-consuming and damaging, implying that samples of unseen faults may be unavailable in the training step. Keeping this in mind, we present a new semantic space-based zero-shot learning (SSB-ZSL) method for fault detection. The implementation of the method comprises three phases: feature extraction, human-defined semantic space, and a feature embedding model to address this issue. To evaluate the proposed method, we carry out experiments on two real datasets: a vibration-based rolling element bearing dataset from Case Western Reserve University, and an acoustic-based air compressor fault dataset. The results are promising and significantly better than that given by the compared state-of-the-art methods, showing that the proposed method can effectively detect unseen types of faults in the absence of their samples. © 2022 IEEE.

A low frequencies filter of the second order on switched capacitors has been developed and studied, the distinctive feature of which is three-phase control of three electronic keys. In the proposed circuit, this allows, at constant parameters of the frequency-setting capacitors and a fixed switching frequency of electronic keys, to control the frequency of the filter pole by changing the ratio of the resistances of resistors in the general feedback circuit. The basic equations for the filter transmission coefficients at zero frequency and at the pole frequency are given, as well as formulas for calculating the pole frequency and pole attenuation at the second order. A simulation of the filter was made in the Micro-Cap environment, which shows that the considered circuit solution performs the functions of a low-pass filter. Considered filter on switched capacitors can be used to create new adaptive measuring systems and analog-digital signal processing devices. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper is proposed a Data Driven control (DDC) law of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) drive as an alternative to the Model Predictive control (MPC) strategy. The DDC method is designed for the inner control structure of the PMSM drive, the outer speed loop being employed by a classical linear PI controller. Thus, the DDC is based on build up a database of the relevant quantities as electromagnetic torque, speed, voltages and current, all obtained in steady-state regime with MPC strategy, being selected for the highest efficiency values for a given pair of speed and torque. The learning process of the DDC strategy by a mutidimesional interpolation method leads to obtain high performances in both steady-state and dynamic regimes, without any additional optimal current reference command. A comparative analysis done in Matlab simulation environment of the results obtained by both MPC and DDC control laws shows the effectiveness of the last strategies. The DDC method provide a robust optimal control under energetic constraints, being more suitable then the classical MPC law that can not offers reliable results for a large area of conditions in practice. © 2024 IEEE.

A thermal motion equivalent method based on the potential field method in past works is presented. The presented method provides a solution to one of the actual problems of group control - prevention of collisions of agents and obstacles by mutual repulsion. Another relevant problem is the formation of geometric structures by agents, one of the solutions to which is the introduction of a nonlinear interaction function. The paper is devoted to the search for coefficients of the exponential interaction function of agents depending on the agent's speed while preserving the stability of the swarm system. The paper presents the results of numerical modeling showing the correctness of the methodology for choosing the coefficients of the exponential interaction function. © 2023 IEEE.

Integrating digital data and human sensory input in real-world settings offers new possibilities in device diagnostics and maintenance. In this study, we utilized the EcoStruxure Augmented Operator Advisor to develop an augmented reality application for a family house heating system. Our application was designed without access to the real heating system;instead, we simulated its operation with a programmable logic controller. Our final application includes three primary scenes: the heat pump, its indoor unit, and the engine room. Drawing on our practical experience, we discuss the benefits of our approach and the software tools used and summarize our subjective opinions. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays there are many methods of a swarm control. One of them is the Thermal Motion Equivalent Method. One of the main objectives of the method development is to stabilise the velocity amplitude of the agent - in this paper a quadrocopter. The modal controller is developed using a linear model of the quadrocopter under the condition of a small angle of its deviation from the vertical, which imposes a limitation on the speed of the agent and therefore does not allow to increase the efficiency of the tasks solved by the swarm. As the performance of the quadrocopter increases, the amplitude of the quadrocopter's speed becomes unstable, as the geometric nonlinearities of the kinematic relations, the nonlinearity of the quaternionic orientation controller and the inertia of the propeller-motor groups begin to influence the controller's operation. This paper proposes a variant of nonlinearity compensation and presents the results of numerical modelling showing the performance of the proposed compensators. © 2023 IEEE.

Fault monitoring and diagnostics are important to ensure reliability of electric motors. Efficient algorithms for fault detection improve reliability, yet development of cost-effective and reliable classifiers for diagnostics of equipment is challenging, in particular due to unavailability of well-balanced datasets, with signals from properly functioning equipment and those from faulty equipment. Thus, we propose to use a Bayesian neural network to detect and classify faults in electric motors, given its efficacy with imbalanced training data. The performance of the proposed network is demonstrated on real life signals, and a robustness analysis of the proposed solution is provided. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper aims to achieve single-channel target speech extraction (TSE) in enclosures by solely utilizing distance information. This is the first work that utilizes only distance cues without using speaker physiological information for single-channel TSE. Inspired by recent single-channel Distance-based separation and extraction methods, we introduce a novel model that efficiently fuses distance information with time-frequency (TF) bins for TSE. Experimental results in both single-room and multi-room scenarios demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our approach. The circuitry of a switched-capacitor low-pass filter (SCF) is considered, in which it is possible to tune the pole frequency without changing the capacitances of the switched capacitors, for example, by selecting them of the same kind. To study the suggested SCF circuit, the analysis in the time domain was used, and the obtained characteristics of the SCF were further compared with the characteristics of a generalized second-order analog filter. It is shown that the parameters implemented by the suggested filter depend not only on the capacitance values of the switched capacitors, but also on the ratio of the resistances of two additional resistors. Moreover, the SCF pole frequency is determined by the switching frequency of the keys, the ratios of the capacitances of the switched capacitors, as well as the ratio of the resistances of additional resistors. Due to the goal-oriented selection of the resistances of these resistors, it is possible to lower the SCF pole frequency at constant and identical values of the capacitances of the switched capacitors. © 2023 IEEE.

The paper presents a promising method of increasing by more than an order of magnitude the maximum slew rate (SR) of integrated operational amplifiers (OpAmps) based on two-cycle 'folded' cascodes. This method is based on the introduction of special differentiating transient correction circuits into the classical circuits of OpAmps. Developed on the basis of the MH2XA031 array chip, the high-speed OpAmp is recommended for practical use in the subclass of so-called discrete-analog SC-filters on switched capacitors, for which (in some important cases) higher SR values are required. The effect of significantly improving the OpAmp's speed is to provide higher output current levels of the two-cycle 'folded' cascode that recharges the integrating correction capacitor during the transient edge. The OpAmp's speed performance in the large-signal mode is increased from 248.7 ~V / μ s to 4148 ~V / μ s as a result of this. © 2024 IEEE.
