Most existing Secure Multi-Party Computation (MPC) protocols for privacy-preserving training of decision trees over distributed data assume that the features are categorical. In real-life applications, features are often numerical. The standard "in the clear" algorithm to grow decision trees on data with continuous values requires sorting of training examples for each feature in the quest for an optimal cut-point in the range of feature values in each node. Sorting is an expensive operation in MPC, hence finding secure protocols that avoid such an expensive step is a relevant problem in privacy-preserving machine learning. In this paper we propose three more efficient alternatives for secure training of decision tree based models on data with continuous features, namely: (1) secure discretization of the data, followed by secure training of a decision tree over the discretized data;(2) secure discretization of the data, followed by secure training of a random forest over the discretized data;and (3) secure training of extremely randomized trees ("extra-trees") on the original data. Approaches (2) and (3) both involve randomizing feature choices. In addition, in approach (3) cut-points are chosen randomly as well, thereby alleviating the need to sort or to discretize the data up front. We implemented all proposed solutions in the semi-honest setting with additive secret sharing based MPC. In addition to mathematically proving that all proposed approaches are correct and secure, we experimentally evaluated and compared them in terms of classification accuracy and runtime. We privately train tree ensembles over data sets with 1000s of instances or features in a few minutes, with accuracies that are at par with those obtained in the clear. This makes our solution orders of magnitude more efficient than the existing approaches, which are based on oblivious sorting. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Performance Evaluation of Low-Cost Machine Vision Cameras for Image-Based Grasp Verification

— Grasp verification is advantageous for autonomous manipulation robots as they provide the feedback required for higher level planning components about successful task completion. However, a major obstacle in doing grasp verification is sensor selection. In this paper, we propose a vision based grasp verification system using machine vision cameras, with the verification problem formulated as an image classification task. Machine vision cameras consist of a camera and a processing unit capable of on-board deep learning inference. The inference in these low-power hardware are done near the data source, reducing the robots dependence on a centralized server, leading to reduced latency, and improved reliability. Machine vision cameras provide the deep learning inference capabilities using different neural accelerators. Although, it is not clear from the documentation of these cameras what is the effect of these neural accelerators on performance metrics such as latency and throughput. To systematically benchmark these machine vision cameras, we propose a parameterized model generator that generates end to end models of Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN). Using these generated models we benchmark latency and throughput of two machine vision cameras, JeVois A33 and Sipeed Maix Bit. Our experiments demonstrate that the selected machine vision camera and the deep learning models can robustly verify grasp with 97% per frame accuracy. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. In advance, the change of digital transformation persistently operates the function of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and draws out all forms of corporate considerations. The RPA raises a certain kind of business measure mechanization innovation that assists thought the software programming framework which enhances the system robots or man-made artificial intelligence (AI). While RPA is a famous subject in the corporate world and this holds scholarly exploration on research work which does not have a hypothetical and theoretical investigation over RPA. They portray the trait of RPA in a given direction which furnishes the concentration for additional exploration on advancement research which includes a software solution based on routine works, organized structured information and predetermined results. This helps in investigating the reports of emerging advantages in obtaining the efficiency of RPA with its cost and speed that decreases all the possible errors. © 2021 IEEE.

Multidimensional Decision Tree Splits to Improve Interpretability

We revisit the binary splitting functionality used in decision trees to handle numerical attributes. Even if the true relationship between the class label and a few numerical attributes can be expressed directly (using a Boolean expression), resulting decision trees may appear quite large and complicated. In cases where interpretability is important, an increased computational effort on the splitting criteria that offers more compact trees might be worthwhile. We propose and empirically evaluate multidimensional splits, where a tree node may test for inclusion in a low-dimensional bounding box.

Groundbreaking advances in theoretical and applied Artificial Intelligence (AI). DL algorithms are groundedin non-linear and complex artificial neural systems that progressively extract higher-level features from *** is frequently compared with human-level performance in real-world tasks, such as clinical diagnostics. Itis also a turning point in solving otherwise intractable problems in the design of virtual agents or robotics;orin providing novel insight into disease progress in genomics and Neuroimaging (NI), understanding humanbrain function, the automation of industrial processes based on computer vision, and so on. In this paper, themost relevant advances from the last few years in AI and several applications to neuroscience, neuroimaging,computer vision, and robotics are presented, reviewed and discussed. In this way, we summarize the state-ofthe-art in AI methods, models and applications within a collection of works presented at the 9th InternationalConference on the Interplay between Natural and Artificial Computation (IWINAC). In research, the relevance of data science in health care is being explored. It has been proposed that the health-care sector benefit from a Nutrition Prescription System. In the proposed model, the Map Reduce, Enhanced K-Mean clustering technique was used. Actual datasets are represented by rectangular rectangles, which contain the health care centre dataset and frequency dataset generated by the map reduction method. Operations in original data flow are represented by the elliptical boxes. Patients will be able to use this technique to access specific and specialized health care institution. As a consequence, consumers will get better services that are tailored to their specific requirements. Patients would have secure access to planned system because of backup facilities. Because diagnosis has no side effects, the concept of nutrition prescription system is better than that of medicine prescription system. In suggested dietary prescription system, patient selects symptoms. The patient is provided information on his nutritional deficits, requirements and food supply. In addition, the patient is provided additional nutritional data stored in an unstructured dataset. The outcome was derived from the data set. In milliseconds, the report also shows the time spent on traditional and contemporary duties.

Paper aims to use the programming codes in calculating the values of neutrosophic grades and their representation in proving the certainty and uncertainty associated with the data of navigational projects development in the Suez Canal, Egypt. Added to, we reach a more descriptive of the data in terms of certainty and uncertainty, and that is through the neutrosophic representation of both the total revenue and the revenues of the Suez Canal from the transit carriers and ships. Finally, we will present a study of the decision-making process regarding the better investment in the Suez Canal. Is it investing in the oil tankers or investing in cargo ships, as this is done based on neutrosophic data. This will be done by studying optimistic, pessimistic, and remorse entrances to the neutrosophic data, to see which oil tankers or cargo ships offer better returns to the Canal. © 2020, Neutrosophic Sets and Systems. In an effort to support the widespread use of passive acoustic monitoring devices in marine environments, a Task Team on Low-Cost Hydrophones for Research, Education, and Community science was launched under the auspices of the Partnership for Observation of the Global Ocean and the International Quiet Ocean Experiment. To this aim, the Task Team is developing an open-source Low-Cost Marine Acoustic REcorder (LC-MARE), including hydrophone ceramics with a frequency response range of 10 Hz to 100 kHz, an effective sensitivity of at least -180 dB re V/µPa and an endurance exceeding one week of continuous recording. To minimise costs, the proposed deployment dept. will be limited to 100 m and the pressure housing will be made of commercially available PVC tubes and fittings. The envisioned price tag of less than US$200 makes the suggested marine acoustic recorder affordable in low-budget educational and community science contexts, as well as scientific applications where finances are limiting (for example in developing countries and for entry-level researchers).

Despite the huge efforts to develop and administer vaccines worldwide to copewith the COVID-19 pandemic, misinformation spreading through fake news in mediaand social networks about vaccination safety, make that people refuse to bevaccinated, which harms not only these people but also the whole population. In this work, we model the effects of harmful information spreading inimmunization acquisition through vaccination. Our model is posed for severalfractional derivative operators. We have conducted a comprehensive foundationanalysis of this model for the different fractional derivatives. Additionally,we have incorporated a strength parameter that shows the combined impact ofnonlinear and linear components within an epidemiological model.
