In this paper, a fuzzy C-means clustering approach is suggested for segregating the initial population of Differential Evolution (DE) on the basis of the membership function. The proposed algorithm called FCADE further incorporates adaptive crossover and mutation strategies into the segregated population. Three variants of FCADE are proposed and are applied to selected CEC2005 benchmark problems. The results, when compared with some of the well-known adaptive algorithms indicates the competence of the strategies proposed in the present study in enhancing the performance of the DE algorithm.

Air quality plays an important role in spiritual, mental and physical wellbeing of a person. Though it is not common to consider that quality of air a person is breathing has deep effect on the work efficiency, emotions, levels of stress and wellbeing of that person. It is even written in ancient ayurvedic scriptures of India that quality of air one breathes not only prolongs the life of a person but can also show magical healing effects on various diseases. Though Air Quality Index is extremely important, yet it is the most ignored and taken for granted by most of us. Related work and recent articles from new coverage also depicts that Moradabad city is amongst the most polluted cities of India. The air quality index level of Moradabad city is much above the required normal level for healthy living conditions. It is therefore proposed a unique air quality index monitoring device which can be mounted on vehicles like cars, motorbikes etc. which will be powered by battery of vehicles and monitor the air quality index level of various places of city where vehicle is commuting. The information of air quality index along with Global Positioning System tag will be send to a remote server (ThingSpeak). Then the user interested in monitoring AQI level can receive this information on a mobile application. The application will also issue alert messages when air quality index is approaching dangerous level, display safety and precautionary guidelines. The proposed device was tested and results were recorded carefully. It was observed that device was working fine and was able to monitor air quality of Moradabad City. Once adopted the proposed system can serve as novel solution to the increasing air pollution of Moradabad city and can help in creating an environment friendly mind-set in people of Moradabad city. Once such awareness is created in local community, people may refrain themselves in activities which lead to air pollution.

The Graph Coloring Problem (GCP) is concerned with finding the chromatic number, i.e., the minimum number of unique colors required to color adjacent nodes in the graph. Given that combinatorial problems such as GCP are computationally expensive, heuristic-based algorithms are generally employed., and they do not provide optimum solutions. In this work, we utilized Graph Neural networks (GNNs) for finding solution to graph coloring problem, and evaluated our approach against two other contemporary algorithms. Our results demonstrate that our approach can be used to ascertain the chromatic number of a large graph with higher accuracy than the contemporary methods.

In this age of technology, Artificial Intelligence plays a key part in humankind's growth, whether in education, daily life, or professional life. AI has improved how humans live and solve problems. Using illness mapping from symptoms, the suggested method recommends relevant doctors to users. The approach attempts to boost diagnosis efficiency, reducing misdiagnoses and saving doctors' time. Machine learning algorithms and doctors' diagnoses will reduce misdiagnosis. In this work, we built a disease-based prediction system with multiple machine learning algorithms including Decision Tree, Logistic Regression and Random Forest. We obtain the highest accuracy with Random Forest classifier. After diagnosis, our system will immediately schedule an appointment for them with the most conveniently located doctor in their area, and the system's evaluation will be delivered to the appointment doctor. The proposed system is accessible through website and both doctor and patient can use then for their purposes.

More sustainable transportation and mobility concepts, such as ridesharing, are gaining momentum in modern smart cities. In many real-life scenarios, travel times among potential customers' locations should be modeled as random variables. This uncertainty makes it difficult to design efficient ridesharing schedules and routing plans, since the risk of possible delays has to be considered as well. In this paper, we model ridesharing as a stochastic team orienteering problem in which the trade-off between maximizing the expected reward and the risk of incurring time delays is analyzed. In order to do so, we propose a simulation-optimization approach that combines a simheuristic algorithm with survival analysis techniques. The aforementioned methodology allows us to generate not only the probability that a given routing plan will suffer a delay, but also gives us the probability that the routing plan experiences delays of different sizes.

The purpose of this study is to discover the optimal Deep Learning model for Bitcoin prediction among the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). Our empirical results indicate that LSTM is the optimal model for predicting Bitcoin price and trend with the prediction accuracy of 88.9%. Our study serves as a stepping stone for novice cryptocurrency investors and future studies of more advanced and sophisticated algorithms. Finally, given that the ideal model for predicting the price of cryptocurrencies is still a topic of controversy, the findings of this study will serve as a valuable empirical resource for future studies.
