In this paper, the implementation of a cybernetic learning model based on differential equations of fractional order is justified. Experimental learning results were obtained by testing students during the academic semester. Based on a heterogeneous differential equation with integer order, learning graphs have been compared to a family of models with fractional order equations. Consequently, fractional-order equations are proved to have better approximation properties. Criteria for assessing the learning and differentiation of teaching methods based on the parameters of fractional order equations are proposed. © 2021 IEEE.

The paper is devoted to study of the influence of rolling modes on the performance of powerful interconnected electric drives of a hot rolling mill under the action of an electromagnetic coupling circuit between the electric drives of the roughing and finishing groups. The action of the electromagnetic coupling circuit manifests itself in the form of the influence of impact loads of synchronous electric drives on the angular velocity of direct current electric drives of the finishing group of the mill. The parameters of the electromagnetic coupling circuit are determined by the power supply scheme and equipment parameters. Values of impact loads applied to a synchronous motor depend on the rolling process parameters, in particular, the chemical composition of the rolled steel and the temperature of the ingot. The paper presents the results of calculating the rolling power for various rolling mode parameters. Using mathematical modeling in Simulink, numerical estimates of the influence of rolling modes on the magnitude of the voltage drop in the power supply unit and the drop in the angular velocity of the electric drive of the finishing group were obtained on the example of a wide-strip hot rolling mill 1700 of ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC.

This paper presents a study for optimizing a hot rolling mill. The paper is devoted to the study of ways to reduce the effect of shock loads of synchronous electric drives of the roughing mill group on the relative lengthening of the metal strip in the inter-stand gap of the rolling stands of the finishing mill group. The elasticity of the metal strip in the inter-stand gap of the rolling mill has a significant impact on the movement of intercoupled multi-motor electric drives of the finishing mill group. Another crucial route of exposure that influences the motion of the electric drives within the finishing mill group involves the electromagnetic connection between the drives in the roughing and finishing mill groups. The impact of the electromagnetically connected circuits is evident through the effect of shock loads from synchronous electric drives on the angular velocity of the direct current electric drives within the finishing mill group. The characteristics of the electromagnetic communication circuit are established by the power grid arrangement and equipment specifications. To assess the quality of work of electric drives of the finishing mill group, it is proposed to use the relative lengthening of the metal strip in the inter-stand gap, which is an important indirect indicator of the quality of rolling. The mathematical model of a hot rolling mill that takes into account both the elasticity of the metal strip that connects the DC electric drives of the finishing group, and the electromagnetic coupling circuit that takes into account the impact loads of synchronous electric drives of the roughing group on the example of the mill 1700 of ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC was proposed in this paper. Using the mathematical model developed in Simulink software using the methods of planning the experiment, regression models were obtained to establish the dependence of the parameters of overexcitation of a synchronous motor on the magnitude of the voltage sag in the no

This paper present two different approaches for modelling a magnetically coupled multiport dc-dc converter. First, from the magnetic coupling equations, the inst.ntaneous dynamic model is obtained. Secondly, a behavioural dynamic model, based on averaging the power flowing among the ports, is derived. Some numerical simulations compare the temporal evolutions with the two obtained models.

The paper proposes a mathematical model of a three-phase induction motor with an asymmetrical twelve-zone winding of stator with parallel connection of subwindings. The mathematical model was developed using the theory of generalized electromechanical converter and contains equations of electrical equilibrium of six stator windings and three rotor windings. The equations for calculating the electromagnetic moment and the equations of motion of the induction motor with an asymmetrical twelve-zone stator winding rotor were obtained. The developed mathematical model in the form of cell-matrix equations has been implemented in MATLAB/Simulink.

Chlorination in drinking water treatment plants (DWTP) is the final process applied to water before it is sent to storage tanks in the supply network for subsequent human consumption. An excessive dosage of chlorine or, conversely, too small a dosage, may breach existing legal regulations on mandatory limits. In DWTP where there is no significant variability in the quality of the water to be treated, a type of control that is proportional to the flow rate in the effluent can have fully satisfactory results. Therefore, Proportional-Integral (PI) control is a rather frequently used solution. However, when there are inherently long delays in the process, variability in the quality of the water to be treated and considerable variations alternative type is needed. This article presents the strategy and results of a control method that proposes a Fuzzy based feed-forward system to complement an existing PI control. The control system results are shown as applied to the DWTP of Barcelona city, producing satisfactory experimental results.

This paper presents an Adaptive Cruise control algorithm for vehicles based on a variable structure systems approach. The main feature of the proposed design is that the two driving modes, namely distance and speed regulation, are met enforcing sliding modes and asymptotic tracking, respectively. This is achieved using an intervehicle, distance-dependent switching surface able to induce sliding motion when the aimed cruise velocity of the target vehicle is higher than that of the preceding vehicle, and to asymptotically track such cruise velocity when it is lower or equal than the velocity of the preceding vehicle. The algorithm is validated through numerical simulations. © 2018 IEEE.

In this paper a rotor angle estimation for permanent magnet synchronous motors under sliding motion is proposed. In the sliding mode control design stage, if the motor saliency (dependency of the stator inductances with the rotor position) is not considered, the decoupling process provide three independent switching functions that are fully decoupled among them. The technique proposed at this work uses the small deviations that appear in the switching functions when motor saliency is considered. In presence of saliency, the position of the rotor can be estimated measuring the slopes of the switching functions. The novelty of the method is that it can work at zero speed, where most of the estimation techniques based on observers fail, and without the necessity of injecting high frequency signals. © 2018 IEEE.

the interest in robots and their applications has increased recently, and one of the most important applications is using robots in medical applications. This paper shows a prototype robotic system for robot-aided radiologists in their work, especially radiologists whom using ultrasound devices. The system includes master device, slave robot and a computer control system that lets the operator remotely position the ultrasound probe on the patient, Master device is available with the operator;Slave robot is located in the patient's location with an ultrasound *** proposed system composed of a new design of master device and slave robot;both designs were designed based on the shape, size and movements that radiologists used to do during an ultrasound examination, the master device is used to control the movement of ultrasound probe, the ultrasound probe is fixed inside the slave robot and its contacted to the patient body through a hole in the base at end of design. Movement accuracy between master device and slave robot was achieved. Ultrasound examination was tested by homemade gelatin model. © 2018 IEEE.
