An intelligent and robust voting service is proposed. The novel voting service, is capable of forming a consensus based on performance of redundant applications in the value, time and reliability *** voter is distributed using a hot backup approach to ensure timely recovery in the event of voter failure. Specification diversity is advocated in order to improve upon the effectiveness of design diversity. The voter is designed to be a system building block, embedded in a framework of design tools which will allow the developer to express control concepts, such as deadlines, priorities, re-plication and voting.

This paper proposes a methodology of combining eigenstructure assignment, feedforward gain with sliding mode control technique to realize an enhanced robust pitch pointing flight controlsystem. This controlsystem can track step input commands without error and it turns out to be consistently robust against parameter variations and external disturbances. Attenuation of fore and after vehicle vibration caused by transient throttle pedal maneuvering is a key factor in achieving a good drivability. The dynamics of this vibration is analyzed considering torque generated by combustion as the exciting force. The relationship between vibration attenuation and improvement of drivability is determined using a subjective, low frequency vibration test. Through these analyses and tests, a new vibration controlsystem is developed which controls the above noted torque by providing optimum adjustment of ignition timing. Decreasing fore and after vehicle vibration without adversely affecting vehicle performance, this controlsystem improves drivability in both FF and FR cars by more than 1.0 evaluation point.

An improved SSDA (sequential similarity detection algorithm), which may be used to determine similarity in a more efficient manner than the SSDA currently in use, is introduced. The algorithm saves computation time and improves performance compared to the current SSDA. The problem of target tracking, used as an example, and calculation of performance indexes of SSDA are introduced to optimally implement the algorithm. Two series of frame images are simulated from real data to demonstrate the efficiency of the improved SSDA for target tracking.< >
