Recent developments in the field of micro-electromechanical systems, digital wireless, and electronics telecommunications have paved the way to the development of low-cost, economical and low-volume sensors that can monitor the unprotected environment in the form of multi-tasking, and perform telecommunication operations. These small sensors, which can perform activities such as data processing, sensing, and transmitting information, are the core of the idea of wireless sensor networks. In this paper, the scientific contribution is the evaluation of different error detection methods, so as to identify a new classification for integrating new defects. This paper has suggested to make a subjective examination of the most recent mistake location calculations. From this examination, a selection of a rundown of procedures are assessed regarding the amount. A number of aspects are addressed in this work, including the advantages, shortcomings, and future research ways for distinguishing mistakes in remote sensor systems. © 2022 IEEE.

The unprecedented prosperity of the industrial Internet of Things has thoroughly facilitated the transition from traditional manufacturing towards intelligent manufacturing. In industrial environments, resource-constrained industrial equipments (IEs) often fail to meet the diverse demands of numerous compute-intensive and latency-sensitive tasks. Mobile edge computing has emerged as an innovative paradigm for lower latency and energy consumption for IEs. However, computational offloading and coordinating of multiple IEs with diverse task types and multiple edge nodes in industrial environments poses challenges. To address this challenge, we propose a multi-task approach encompassing scientific and concurrent workflow tasks to achieve energy-efficient and latency-optimized computation offloading. Furthermore, this work designs an improved Quantum Multi-objective Grey wolf optimizer with Manta ray foraging and Associative learning (QMGMA) to optimize multi-task computation offloading. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate the superior efficiency and stability of QMAGA compared to state-of-the-art algorithms in balancing latency and energy consumption. QMAGA improves average inverse generation distance and average spacing by 37% and 31% on average than multi-objective grey wolf optimizer, non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II, and multi-objective multi-verse optimization, proving the convergence and diversity of its non-dominated solutions. © 2024 IEEE.

The work is devoted to the development of an algorithm for neural network adaptation of the parameters of the PI-controller for the water temperature at the outlet of the waste heat boiler. The flow of water through the heat exchanger of the waste heat boiler chosen as a control action. The control object is a complex thermodynamic system Automatic control systems based on a controller that implements the PI law without adjusting the coefficients, the controller cannot provide a satisfactory quality of transient processes. There are several methods for automatic tuning of the PI controller coefficients, among which one can distinguish autotuning by tabular values, when the previously found controller parameters for different operating conditions of the system are entering to a table. Each set of coefficients are bound to certain conditions. The work proposes to create an algorithm for adapting a PI controller based on a neural network. The neural network generates the values of the PI controller coefficients for different operating points. The values of the regulator coefficients included in the training sample are calculating from the frequency response of the control object. The frequency response were determined from the analysis of the neural network model of the waste heat boiler. © 2021 IEEE.

Small object detection aims to localize and classify small objects within images. With recent advances in large-scale vision-language pretraining, finetuning pretrained object detection models has emerged as a promising approach. However, finetuning large models is computationally and memory expensive. To address this issue, this paper introduces multi-point positional insertion (MPI) tuning, a parameter-efficient finetuning (PEFT) method for small object detection. Specifically, MPI incorporates multiple positional embeddings into a frozen pretrained model, enabling the efficient detection of small objects by providing precise positional information to latent features. Through experiments, we demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method on the SODA-D dataset. MPI performed comparably to conventional PEFT methods, including CoOp and VPT, while significantly reducing the number of parameters that need to be tuned.

The purpose of this work is to analyze the capabilities of space-vector pulse-width modulation when controlling a 5-phase high-voltage cascade frequency converter in normal mode and several types of emergency situations. Taking into account the large number of controlled power transistors, an asynchronous modulation method is proposed, based on calculating the amplitude values of individual phases at each time based on the duty cycle of space vectors, which allows the control system to use independent switching in each phase. In emergency modes, when individual H-bridges are damaged, it is proposed to use the balanced space vectors method, which ensures the symmetry of the electromagnetic field in the event of a short circuit of both individual cascades and one or two phases of the inverter. Methodology. We use a mathematical and geometric interpretation of variable amplitude space vectors when projecting voltages onto a symmetrical 5-phase load. Results. Analysis of the 1st harmonic of phase voltages showed that the use of the space vector modulation method in the normal operating mode of a 5-phase converter makes it possible to increase the utilization factor of DC voltage sources by 23.1% (instead of 15.6% for a 3-phase converter). If individual H-bridges fail and the voltages in the load phases are balanced, the utilization factor may decrease, but in any case it will remain greater than 1. In this case, the higher harmonics, despite significant distortions in the shape of the phase voltages, are mutually compensated in the electromagnetic field of the load, as evidenced by absence of pulsations and shocks on the graphs of transient processes of the electromagnetic torque of the engine. Balancing of the electromagnetic field in the load is maintained even if one or two phases of the inverter are short-circuited. This significantly increases the survivability of the electric drive, which is especially important in critical mechanisms and technological processes,

Advanced driver assistance and automated driving systems rely on an enhanced perception, which requires a reliable fusion of heterogeneous data from multiple sensors. Track-to-track fusion is a commonly used architecture in automotive perception systems. However, track management is still under-discussed among other modules of track-to-track fusion, i.e., association and state fusion, despite its significant impact on the fidelity of the fused data. Track management is responsible for maintaining the fused track list by handling appearing and disappearing objects and, more importantly, determining if a sensor track was generated by a real target or false detections. In this paper, we compare different track management strategies using simulated and real data from a radar-camera sensor cluster, analyzing their false alarm filtering effectiveness.

This paper deals with the design of an Android mobile application and visualization of the measured values of particulate matter and meteorological factors from the measurement stations. The application can in principle be effectively used in any field of data visualization. The architecture of the mobile application, the security, the use of AWS services to access the data in the InfluxDB databases, as well as the user interface and graphical visualizations of the measured data are described and illustrated. The application is user tested and the paper documents their first experiences using the mobile application. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, and especially during the on-going pandemic, the interest in investigating the dynamics of infodemics has increased to unprecedented levels. In this study we propose an agent-based model for the spread of misinformation, disinformation, and other similar information. The model is based on the susceptible-infected-recovered-susceptible epidemic interpretation. We introduce a rule-based reasoning module to model individual bias in the perception of information based on the psychology concept of illusion of knowledge. We integrate this module into a deliberative-reactive agent controller structure and a decentralized control scheme for the multi-agent system. Results show significant differences between the outputs of the proposed model and the classical version, impressing on the effects of considering local agent individuality when modeling human psycho-social interactions. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper discusses methods for estimating the electrical parameters of payloads (transponders) of communications spacecraft using digital modulation signals. To estimate the parameters, the processing of the quadrature signal at the output of the transponder, obtained during the signal constellation measurements, as well as the determination of the amplitude of the error vector in the testing process, is used. Application of these methods allows to significantly reduce the test duration and improve the test procedure based on the identified factors affecting the amplitude of the error vector. The study of electrical parameters of payload of communication spacecraft is an important aspect of their operation. Repeaters that provide ground-to-spacecraft communications must operate reliable and efficiently. The evaluation of these parameters allows optimizing the testing process and providing more accurate results. Digital modulation signals are widely used in modern communication systems. They allow you to transmit data at high speed and minimize signal distortion. However, for the correct operation of repeaters, it is necessary to accurately estimate their electrical parameters. The application of these methods reduces the duration of tests, which is especially important in the development and testing of a spacecraft. This also reduces the cost of testing and ensures the accuracy of the results. Digital modulation signals are also more reliable than analog modulation signals, making them an ideal choice for spacebased communication systems.
