The requirements elicitation phase in the software development life cycle (SDLC) is both critical and challenging, especially in the context of big data and rapid technological advancement. Traditional approaches like workshops and proto-typing, while useful, often struggle to keep pace with the massive data volumes and rapidly changing user demands characteristic of modern technology. This paper introduces a data-driven approach that utilizes deep learning (DL) and natural language processing (NLP) to enhance the requirements elicitation process by extracting requirements and classifying them into functional and non-functional categories. Our research involves a deep neural network (DNN) trained on a large dataset of transcriptions from client/user stories. This DNN can identify whether a specific text represents a functional requirement, a non-functional requirement, or neither. Our approach shows a marked improvement over previous methods, with a 33% increase in accuracy and an 18% increase in the F1 score. These results indicate the capability for deep learning techniques to play a vital role in elicitation. © 2024 IEEE.

Food is crucial in our life. Despite food manufacturers' efforts to meet consumers' needs with manufactured food, it cannot attain the identical level of quality and flavor as natural food. Some fruits and vegetables are classified as food that cannot be manufactured. Also, they play an essential role worldwide. This paper focuses on how farmers can protect their farms from an object that might threaten the crops and cause damage to them. It proposes a framework that farmers may utilize to safeguard the crops against any species of birds. Considering the adverse impact of bird attacks on crop production, this system effectively addresses this problem and consistently enhances the quality and quantity of them. It utilizes computer vision technology to establish a secure environment for the crop. This system is called Quality of Crop Device (qCrop), and it works with a You Only Look Once (Yolov8m) model to detect birds with high accuracy to protect farms. © 2024 IEEE.

Blockchain has become the most revolutionary and trending technology since 2008 with the development of Bitcoin. Besides bitcoin, blockchain can be applied in different sectors, such as finance, healthcare, IoT, security, etc. Blockchain and IoT are two new emerging technologies. IoT has become an integral part of human digital life with the exponential growth of digitally connected devices to the internet. With the development of connected devices, data communication has also increased. Till now, IoT data management has been based on a centralized server. Blockchain technology can protect IoT devices against malicious attacks and single-point failure. This study analyzes the integration of blockchain technology with IoT and also discusses the advantages, challenges in integration, and associated cyber security threats. This paper presents the design and development of a low-cost and user-friendly Bengali braille embosser for the visually impaired population in Bangladesh. To produce braille text, the embosser employs a shifting mechanism and an Embosser head, both controlled by an Arduino microcontroller. A software has also been developed to allow users with basic printer knowledge to operate the embosser. Access to educational resources and reading materials is limited for people with disabilities in Bangladesh, and the availability of Bengali braille writing machines is scarce. The proposed solution aims to address these challenges and improve the learning and communication capabilities of visually impaired individuals. © 2024 IEEE.

The presented research paper investigates the development and performance of adaptive strategies for nonuniform fading patterns in dual-branch Maximal Ratio Combining systems. The study employs key enabling strategies, including power control, adaptive modulation, and antenna selection, with the purpose of improving the spectral efficiency and reliability of wireless communication systems. Conducting simulations in MATLAB and Python, this paper presents a comprehensive analysis using heatmaps, 3D surface plots, and dynamic simulation outputs to show the effect of the strategies under different Signal-to-Noise Ratios and fading conditions. The outcomes, illustrated in a clear-cut manner in the visuals, reveal that the adaptive strategies lead to a drastic reduction in the Bit Error Rates and a more optimal distribution of power across the branches, ensuring highly effective performance even in the case of the most challenging non-uniform fading patterns. Ultimately, the research findings show sight into the necessity of adaptive strategies to ensure proper coverage and quality of communication in non-uniform fading conditions, which novel research could benefit from. © 2024 IEEE.

Recent days accidents are increasing on an exponential basis due to drinking and drive. Driving after drinking alcohol is a major cause of the majority of the accidents due to which sometimes innocent people lose their lives. As the number of vehicles is increasing day by day, accidents are also occurring due to many reasons but alcohol consumption is a major factor in many of the accidents. To avoid these accidents, an alcohol detection and alert system for vehicles is proposed in this paper that is based on MQ3 sensor. The proposed system gives a coherent solution to control injuries because of consumption of alcohol while driving. The alcohol detected by the MQ-3 sensor is processed via an ATmega328P Microcontroller that collate it with a fixed threshold for compliance. The device will nonstop monitor concentration of alcohol by the alcohol recognition sensor and consequently flip off the working of automobile's engine if the alcohol concentration is exceeding threshold value. The replica can even send the alert of locality of the car via SIM900A (GSM module). The model presents an adequate answer to regulate injuries by the influence of alcohol driving. The LCD module is used to show that alcohol has been identified. The proposed system is cost effective, less bulky and more reliable. © 2024 IEEE.

Sentiment analysis on the Bengali language is limited to binary and multi-class classifications. This paper focuses on the multi-label classification of the Bengali abusive social media comments dataset having 10220 rows of different social media negative comments using the problem transformation method. The texts are categorized into five labels: toxic, threat, obscene, insult, and racism. Three different multi-label approaches: Binary Relevance, Label Powerset, and Classifier Chain combined with three popular machine learning algorithms: Multinomial Naive Bayes, Random Forest, and Logistic Regression are implemented in this research. This study evaluates the performance of these models by applying them to various classification scenarios, considering five-label, four-label, three-label, and two-label classifications independently. Our research outcomes are evaluated with some performance indicators: Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-Scores, Confusion matrix, Macro-average, and Hamming score. The combination of Label Powerset and Logistic Regression outperformed the other two classifier-model combinations because of their quick adaptation to the dataset with an accuracy of 88.07% for five label classifications, 90.12% for four label classifications, 90.56% considering three label classifications and 92.67% for two label classification individually. With 88.07% accuracy, the Label Powerset with Logistic Regression approach can be applied to classify five types of sentiment in a single text. © 2023 IEEE.

An unnecessarily increased blood glucose level is a symptom of the metabolic disorder diabetes mellitus (DM). Early diabetes detection is reduce the risk factor of kidney disease, heart failure, liver cirrhosis, it might be hazardous. Our motivation is to developed a machine learning models to forecast diabetes in the future. We applied efficient data cleaning, label encoding, normalization and pre-processing methods for better models accuracy. Prediction with synthetic minority over-sampling (SMOTE) implies the equilibrium of an unstable dataset. Different feature selection techniques such as Chi-square test, Information gain attribute evaluator, Extra trees classifier, SelectKbest, and correlation-based approach to finding the key variables. Machine learning algorithms including Random Forest(RF), K-nearest neighbor(KNN), Naive Bayes (NB), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Gradient Boosting (GB), Decision Tree (DT), and Logistic Regression (LR), have been applied in the initial phase. Random Forest accuracy of 95.03% after normalizing the dataset with synthetic minority over-sampling (SMOTE) techniques. We using a voting classifier for ensemble all machine learning models in the second phase. The models achieved soft voting highest accuracy 96.69%. The findings of our models comparing with some current research indicate that it can offer greater accuracy. Now, we can accurately forecast diabetes. © 2023 IEEE.

Compacted embankments are usually found to be in unsaturated condition. In this study, a shallow footing resting on an unsaturated compacted embankment modeled using Barcelona Basic model (BBM) was numerically analyzed. BBM was implemented in FLAC to consider the variation of strength and stiffness with the change in suction. A comparison of the observed responses in the footing-loaded embankment upon infiltration using BBM was made with Mohr-Coulomb model. It was observed that BBM accurately models the collapse load and shows higher settlement compared to the Mohr-Coulomb model as it considers the loss of suction upon infiltration. This involved two phases, viz, loading the embankment by footing and second with infiltration. It was found that net stresses affect the loading, and load-displacement curves are observed while suction is the dominating factor during infiltration and pore pressure variation is observed. © ASCE.

The plant producers have a hard time identifying nutritional inadequacies in their crops. The capacity to recognize these comprehensive nutritional deficiencies could help regulate crops properly. Using image processing, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), the researchers were able to categorize and identify complete nutritional deficiencies in various cultivars. The prototypes would provide prescribed plant fertilizers once nutrient insufficiency was recognized. Iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), potassium (K), nitrogen (N), calcium (Ca) and complete nutrition were examined. For classifying the image processing techniques were used to turn the images into grayscale & binary data. Using identification and prediction, CNN predicts complete nutritional deficiencies in the plant. CNN high accuracy of detection and diagnosis of nutrient deficits in different cultivars, according to the results compared with Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and DenseNet-121. The design has been tested and the results demonstrate a better way to classify and diagnose complete nutritional deficits in different cultivars. © 2023 IEEE.
